We stayed here recently with our 3 year old in one of the chalets (2 bedroom cabin). The accommodation seemed fairly new with good facilities including equipped kitchen. The pool was excellent, with a large deep pool, shallow toddler pool (which our son loved) and a spa for adults only. The playground was unfortunately aimed at older children so wasn't...

Found the Studio is a good alternative to camping. It is fully self contained ; the kitchen includes a fridge and microwave as well as a hot plate. Perfect for a family of four for a few days. I'm surprised that the pool is so cold even though it is still advertised as heated . Freezing last time I was...

Really loved our stay here . We had a chalet and it was immaculate and comfortable . We travelled with our 15 month old boy and had a blast. I would recommend you fill up with petrol before driving into cooks beach if you arrive empty like us it's a ferry trip over to whitianga to get some. Also if...

My family and friends have been visiting Cooks Beach Resort every year during summer for quite a while. We return because there are amenities like a large pool and lounge area which are hard to find elsewhere. The toilets are regularly serviced and the general atmosphere of the grounds is largely positive. HOWEVER there is an older fella who we...

Great place, lovely pool, we have been coming here every year for the past 5 years. Unfortunately this is the second time we have witnessed an issue with the same staff member. I'm guessing he's the groundsman. In Jan 2015 we saw a very distressed female exchange student who had been in the communal showers during scheduled cleaning time come...

A family of five, armed with our caravan and dome tent, we arrived at this lovely place. The owner is a very nice man to deal with and we have found the atmosphere hard to beat. Fantastic facilities (one ablution block a little aged but clean), a fab pool and spa (adults only), I really can recommend the place. Safe...

My family and I have just stayed here. We arrived early and the Receptionist (cannot remember her name but it starts with an 'R'). She asked us to come back at 2pm even though there were many tent sites available. We found this bizarre and not your usual Kiwi accommodating service given we had children. Upon check in the Receptionist...

Large camp sites, flat and well kept. The hedges that run down the sides or back give extra privacy. The kitchen and lounge are very clean and it's nice to have sky tv to entertain the kids or husbands. They might need to consider another one as a lot of people who have their own camp kitchens still use it...

“The studio was perfect for a family of 4. Self contained, roomy, great sized TV, comfy bedding and all facilities available at your finger tips for a long or short stay. Was a tiny bit noisey when the wind picked up but if it wasn't windy, no problems. It was the trees hitting the outside wall when it was windy.”
