I had a reservation with Booking .com for a lovely bungalow at this hotel. I showed the booking at my arrival and was told that because I had not paid, I had no booking (it was ‘pay at the property’. I specifically chose this hotel because of positive reviews and the fact that it was on the beach with snorkelling on the doorstep; There was no bungalow available. I was offered a much lower spec room and after I got angry put on to the owner who told me not to be angry with the receptionist as she was his wife. She first denied this and after blushing affirmed this. I wanted the room that I booked which was why I booked it. There were no apologies, just rudeness. We agreed that the owner would cancel the original booking and I could look around Amed to see if there was alternative accomodation, in the meantime keeping the lower spec room for the next hour. I found a much better and wonderful room at Vienna Beach after 2 hours driving around. I was surprised to get an email from Booking.com as they had communicated with Bhuana Beach who said I had not shown up at their hotel....you can’t make this stuff up! And... online I learned that it was part of ‘Luxury Hotels in Amed’ please don’t believe this; when I had a look around, the place was quite dilapidated in an unkempt way with staff being uninterestedly playing loud music on their phones by the pool. During the crisis you’d thought that businesses would not jeapordize their reputation...unless of course they really don’t care. Shame on you Bhuana Beach. Be warned! What a terrible experience …
One can easily be deceived by photographs, but this place is absolutely disgusting, I have see slums that are better maintained. The slovenly staff moping around were unable to tell whether rooms already were occupied or were vacant. The owner puts hoteliers to shame and it would be better if it was bulldozed
What is there not to like about this charming place? It is on the beach and it is reasonably priced. Has a lovely swimming pool overlooking the beach. The hotel provides deck chairs and beach towels. There is a small restaurant next to the pool, also overlooking the pool. The food is decent. The staff is very polite & attentive. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom had running hot water. The room could do with a little updating, though - the cuboard would not close properly, but at this price-point, I am not complaining. I would definitely stay here again
My husband and I recently stayed here and absolutely loved it. Can't fault it. We originally had 3 nights booked, however we enjoyed it so much that we changed our plans and extended for another 3 nights. Big rooms, very clean with great aircon and a balcony. The staff were incredible - so friendly and welcoming, nothing was ever a problem. They made our stay so easy and stress-free. We hired a scooter through them and also some handy fins onsite for snorkelling. Situated right on the beach, the best (sandy) beach in Amed. Deck chairs are available for free at the hotel and the pool is fantastic. The restaurant downstairs serves amazing lunch and dinners. Very reasonably priced for what you get. We will definitely stay again!
It's on a great place, quiet and peaceful beach where You can swim, snorkel and dive. Rooms are big and clean, hotel staff are friendly, smiling and allways ready to "help" guests. We been there twice and will come Back again 😎 Now there is also Bhuana Dive Center so they can get You diving also.
