Everything was amazing about our stay. The staff are so incredibly kind, welcoming and accommodating! Amed is also just such a beautifully untouched part of Bali! The resort allows you to experience everything that the area has so offer but also escape into a beautiful atmosphere and relax in the hills. Highly recommend.

We spent 3 nights at Mathis Lodge. Pros: - Great views and location, very remote - Decoration and style of rooms lobby and Restaurant are exclusive and well selected - A lot of things to do (Spa, excursions, cooking etc) Cons: - Breakfast selection a bit of limited compared to other hotels - (Management) Mathis lodge was the only hotel we booked worldwide in 2 years that didn't allow us to cancel the booking for free during covid times. Although we received a voucher for a stay, it was kind of arduous to redeem it. Style of customer engagement via email during these times was also not customer-oriented.

Our Sixt hotel during our Tour organized by mybaliroadtrip.com. Arriving close to the beach and then the shuttle takes you to the hotel on the mountain. Quite a ride. The hotel itself is very luxurious. Lots of privacy around the rooms. Very spacious room with a spectacular view into the valley and at the end the beach. Great for snorkeling. Food and service was great as well as the infinity pool. Shuttles will pick you up from your Lodge as walking is a challenge. Great choice again from mybaliroadtrip.com

Stayed at Mathis Amed with my wife and we both had an amazing time. The food and service were great. The resort itself was impeccable. There are roosters that crow pretty early in the morning, but that's coming from some of the neighboring homes. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Resort! We stayed 2 nights in the Jacuzzi Lodge, the room was so pretty! Highlight was the outside bath room and Jacuzzi with sea view! The breakfast and also the restaurant (had dinner twice) was really yummy. The hotel itself is quit and relaxing on the hill, amazing view! You can see the ocean from the pool, just beautiful! They also have a free Shuttle, takes around 20min down to Amed (Vienna Beach). Last but not least the stuff was so friendly. Highly recommend, especially for couples.

The outside bathroom and Jacuzzi with a sea view must have been a fantastic addition to your room, providing a unique and relaxing experience. Surrounded by green mountains jungle and a beautiful view of the sea we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this friendly lodge with it's infinity pool. Our breakfasts and dinners were lovely with a reasonably good choice on the menu. If you're looking for local food at local prices directly opposite from Mathis is Warung bukit tuba. A little restaurant and shop. We enquired earlier and she made us a lovely meal of grilled tuna and rice and veggies. Nice cold beer! Otherwise take the shuttle from the hotel to one of the little warungs along the coast but remember last shuttle back is 6 pm. Our room at Mathis was great with a huge comfortable bed. They offer various tours including mountain jungle trek. We stayed 4 nights in this delightful place far from the madding crowd! Ps we're 70 and the steps to the villa didn't bother us at all. …
