This is essentially an airport hotel for stop overs or if (like us) you arrive in the middle of the night. For that it does its job very well. The staff were good and the room of decent standard. We had breakfast which was good enough for a one or two day stay (would feel a bit limited after that). Nice pool area and the regular shuttle to the airport (less than 5 minutes away) is extremely convenient. I wouldn't stay here for a week's holiday, but that's not what it is designed for. It's a good airport hotel.

My recent quarantine stay at Holiday Inn Mauritius Mon Tresor was absolutely superb, the management and the team here didn't give me a single chance to complaint and made sure i was properly taken good care of in all sort of way. (am 200% sure all customers receives the same treatment)
I would highly recommend anyone travelling to Mauritius to book their quarantine stay here. From my point of view the rate they are offering for the two weeks stay are affordable and believe me their hospitality is ON POINT!
The room i was put in was a basic double room, but was most comfortable, super cleaned, nicely decorated and covered all needs.
We are offered 4 proper meals per day with drinks and deserts and our temperature are taken twice daily.
I would like to say a big THANK YOU TO Nitish(manager), Akshay, Miha, Adarsh and Mousamile.
Thank you and big respect for taking great care of me and all the others!

We recently moved to Mauritius, therefore we had to confine 2 weeks in a hotel room before we can start our lives here.
sure we did not get to experience the real hotel services because we were basically locked in a room. Food was provided by a catering company and we cleaned our room on our own. but overall, I can tell that the hotel is very new, the bed is comfortable, and the room is spacious enough. The water pressure in the shower was good as well.

Poor value for money. Due to the covid-19 SOP the Mauritian Authorities have decided all passengers entering Mauritius will have to purchase their own accommodation at a designated hotels for a mandatory 14 days quarantine.

The value of money is unacceptable, the designated hotel (Holiday Inn Mauritius) is under huge pressure to stick to the regulations without infringing on their guests stay but they've gotten it badly wrong here.

Hair have been found thrice in the main course and afternoon snacks. Linens have not been changed frequently, no disposable gloves and disposable aprons have been used by the service personnel to deliver food. Moreover, there was no management available for a discussion on issues encountered and to improve the service.

Therefore, my 14 days stay were more than enough for me to conclude that the leadership here is definitely in a critical state! However, if the management ever take this posting with somewhat concerned, you ought to start from the very basic reviewing your operations SOP (IF YOU HAVE ONE), my candid advice only! Well, I will not recommend this hotel to any of my family members, friends as well as colleagues.

Unfortunately for this review I have just stayed at the brand new Radisson Hotel Waterfront in Antananarivo Madagascar, which is spectacular. The Holiday Inn could take a leaf out of their book as I was disappointed with what I found.
My first experience with the HI was being booted to the sidelines when I had been waiting patiently for the hotel shuttle with 4 other guests at the airport, only to have the crew from Turkish Airlines arrive en masse and ride roughshod over us by being told to fill the shuttle ahead of us.
I found this to be extremely irritating even though they are probably regular guests to the hotel. However, we are all paying guests and I didn’t appreciate being sidelined by a bunch of rude, Turkish flight attendants due to their status over ours. Not acceptable.

The check in process was quick and easy and the receptionist was fantastic.

My room had no warm ambiance, dodgy wooden floors that needed attention, a large awkward space that could have done with a rug or some other piece of furniture to soften it, and terribly outdated bathrooms.

My shower head was leaking from overuse, the glass partition in the shower was too short so the floor ends up being a swimming pool, leaving the bath mat soaked, and a pathetic plastic toilet seat that wouldn’t be out of place in a public toilet at a taxi rank.

The food was good but I was disgusted at the fact that they charge MRU 220 for a 33cl draft of local Phoenix beer. A total ripoff in my opinion.

What I did like was the stunning pool setting outside, the free shuttle service, the staff were polite and very helpful and their close proximity to the airport was very convenient.

Overall, not my best hotel experience.

Please note that the Holiday Inn Mauritius Mon Tresor has its own brand standard, and it cannot be compared to others. Concerning the transfer, there is a dedicated shuttle for the crew members and another one for other guests. The shuttle is not on demand but goes back and forth between the airport and the hotel every 15 minutes. Our rooms have been designed as per the standard of IHG and in the bathroom we have Roman shower. To prevent leakage, the shower head must be correctly positioned by the guest. The toilet seat is the same in all our rooms and public toilets. Recently, all hotels in IHG group have opted for bulk amenities which are fixed on the wall and more eco-friendly. Regarding the price of the beer, note that it is the same as in other hotels of this category. We are pleased to read that you appreciated the food at the restaurant and the conviviality of our staff. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards,

This Hotel is not to far from the Airport, it has a free shuttle bus service every 15 minutes.
The check in was easy and a breeze.
Rooms are very nice and clean. You cannot hear any aircraft noises.

The restaurant serves a great variety of food including a buffet.
The breakfast is delicious.
I would stay here anytime again.

On 19/01/2022 we were offloaded from our Air Mauritius flight because there were problems with our PCR tests. We decided to head to this hotel right at the airport. When we explained what happened these amazing people took care of us like we were family.

Within 15min of arrival we had our own personal taxi driver who took us back to the test site (well priced...). He waited and returned us back to the hotel. At the hotel we were offered free early check in and Akash (sorry for spelling) and Robert were superstars.

We had dinner the evening where I had my best dinner in Mauritius for this 8 day trip.

I can highly recommend this hotel. In fact, I am considering booking an extended stay next time. Just because this hotel is at the airport does not make it a "vacation choice". They have a shuttle to Blue Bay every 15min and a wonderful swimming pool. (I travel to Mauritius once a year for last 20 years)

Thanks guys. You will see me again.

Enroute from Johannesburg to Mumbai we had a 22hr layover in mauritius. Mauritius airlines kindly put us up with their partner, Holiday inn montressor. While everything on the surface seemed like we wouldn't have to shell out any extra money since half board was included, we slowly began being charged for additional services which we weren't even aware of. The rapid antigen test for example. Before even entering the hotel we were made to take one compulsorily and charged for it. Water at their restaurant was not free and we were not intimated that it would be charged. I'm unsure what surprises we're in for before we check out tomorrow morning. For a bunch of intransit passengers who assumed our half board was taken care of, this is quite a rude welcome to Mauritius.

The brand lived up to their name.
After spending a lot of recent time spent travelling, i was getting impatient with most things and decided to leave my I’ll equipped resort a night early to get closer to the hotel for an early morning flight. The holiday inn had room and i went there. It was a perfect end note for my time of travelling around Africa and europe. I am thankful i did as i missed incredible water pressure, reliable wifi and standards of cleanliness.
My flight out of Mauritius was earlier in the morning and i had mentioned at check-in that i would require a ride at 6am. Their free shuttle doesn’t start running until 7am but without hesitation, they had a driver waiting for me when i can down to leave for my morning flight.
I always forget how incredible Holiday Inns and IHG brands are outside of North America! Well done.

We had an unexpected stay at the hotel courtesy of Air Mauritius, due to a flight delay.
Whilst we were only there a short time, we found the hotel to be excellent.
The reception staff were very courteous and helpful, the rooms were clean and provided good quality toiletries, water, tea and coffee and the breakfast and lunch were very good.
Particular thanks go to Ajay who ran the restaurant. He made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we could eat before racing back to the airport.
