Yes to both questions. We arranged with the hotel for "colectivo" transport to Villahermossa airport a couple of hours away. This was significantly cheaper than taking a taxi, but it was a bit crowded!

As in the other answers - we saw nice birds on the grounds. I think the area is too developed to see monkeys.
