We stayed for one night and that was enough. Half-way through check-in the guy at reception asked if we had a cigarette, when I asked if he was serious he just said "yes" completely deadpan. The whole cabin stank of stale urine. The floor was filthy. There were old blood stains on the sheets and hairs in the bed. There... More

Comfortable little place to stay right at the entrance to the Mayan ruins. Some locals stayed there and were partying a little louder than I would've like, but that was it. Hollering monkeys all around the place (up on the trees) added a very nice ambient to my stay

We liked staying in the cabanas. We where a bit afraid about bugs and mosquitos inside of the cabanas bit we had no problems. The restaurant on the other side of the road, don muchos, was great for breakfast and dinner. Wild live including the monkeys howling at night and climbing in the trees was unique! It was hot!!! Tip: stay here so you can enter the park early and get great pictures without tourists! The cabanas are exceptional value for money. Clean, well netted for bugs, and with a decent fan. All this next to a stream with crickets in the night. Showers are communal though close and cleaned thoroughly daily. Pool is fantastic for a slow afternoon.... More

We stayed in one of the cabanas with private bathroom. The rooms were clean, you will find the occasional bug but that is expected in cabanas in a setting like this and didn't bother us much. The staff was very friendly and helped us whenever we had a question. Note that the accomodation is right next to the national park... More

We styled here for a night when visiting the ruins. Being on a longer trip we were saving $ so that seemed a high point. However it ended up costing more: 60 peso into town (120 return) if you need food as there are NO restaurants on site and the one next door is EXPENSIVE. No wifi and the pool... More

the cabana was not the same as looked in the picture, still clean and the price was pretty good, small bed for two people, would have preferred two singles if we had known. The pool is a nice feature. for the most part the staff were pleasant, had a row over the booking price (something to do with extra taxes... More

We've been to this hotels 2 times in a row and guess where will the 3rd time be? Great hotel in the middle of the jungle. Be ready to be waken up by crying monkey. Hotel is in walking distance from a great restaurant and right at the entrance to the archaeological zone of Palenque. Great place, great price.

Booked this a few days ago. Kin Balam is cheap so don't expect amenities. Its a place to sleep and go. Its in the jungle so expect bugs. The room we stayed in had a bathroom (pay extra for this) The windows had netting but bugs can come from anywhere. 2 nights was just about right. One night after the... More

Stayed for two nights. The idea of cabanas is awesome, but our cabana was kind of roten, at least it smelled like it. Nothing gets dry here, but you are in a jungle so you should expect a lot of humidity and insects as well. Otherwise I really enjoyed the place, the jungle and the monkeys. Pool is great. Staff...
