Our stay at Margarita and Ed's was just okay. The prices are good at MX$270 per night for a double cabana with a private bathroom, you have hot running water and access to filtered water. Also, it's kind of perfect location being halfway between the ruins and Palenque with the colectivos running pretty much all day between the two at... More

After getting lots of recommendations to stay at El Panchan from fellow travelers around Mexico I looked at the reviews of Margarita and Eds on trip advisor. It is a fantastic place to stay. It's tidy and probably one of the better places to stay in El Panchan. I stayed 2 nights for 280 pesos per night and got a... More

In the jungle of El Pachan, which is located right between Palenque town and the ruins (4kms each way), Margarita&Ed's Cabanas is the best place to stay. The whole place has been well maintained with a rich history of more than 20 yrs. Room is spotlessly clean, and the interior design is very elegant, rooms are surrounded by beautiful gardens... We arrived late to Margarita & Ed's without a reservation (at around 9.30pm - our bus journey was diverted adding an extra 4 hours to the trip), but Margarita was there ready with a room. We were tired and it was HOT (around 40degrees and in humidity), so decided on a room with air conditioning. The fan was loud, but... More

We stayed a few nights at M & E's after stopping in for a single night. We may have gotten the best cabana/room on the property after looking around. We had a second floor room with blessed air condition. I do not think any of the other rooms have a/c. We could not have enjoyed the evenings without it, but... More

I spent a couple of nights here a few years ago and was delighted to see, not only has the place maintained it's charm, but Margarita has as well. Staying in the jungle, listening to the howler monkeys, (I think we even heard a jaguar too) smelling the richness of the jungle, and being in a comfortable, dry bed in... More

Scammers! Paid for four nights. I didn't get a receipt for one night, and when I checked out they tried to charge me for another night. They didn't give me back my deposit! They locked up my boyfriends bag. I always pay what I owe and they were just trying to scam another night.

We stayed in a private room at Margarita and Ed's Cabañas. The rooms were very clean and the whole area was very quiet. Margarita was friendly and her place is lovely. The only downside was that we had to be out of our room at 11 every day so they could clean.

We were pleased with our stay at Margarita and Ed's. You were within walking distance of the National Park ruins and right in the jungle. This was by no means a 5 star accommodation but you had your needs met. There was a functioning private bathroom with a shower and a clean comfortable bed. I greatly appreciated that the room... THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE YOU SHOULD STAY IN EL PACHAN. Everywhere else is a dive and is essentially piggybacking off these cabanas. The rooms are very clean, the showers have hot water, and Margarita offers free drinking water. Great woman, great rooms - you're basically in the middle of the forest. There is a really good restaurant/bar nearby and... More
