This small motel was well priced and the owner welcoming and friendly. We felt well looked after. Coffee and a warmed and buttered savoury scone from the Cafe were delicious. We arrived tired and enjoyed the one night break. Maruia Motel is the perfect distance...More

Nice stop nearly halfway between Nelson and Christchurch. Signs on roadside just prior gave us good notice the motel was ahead. Greeted upon arrival. Room was comfortable and clean. Would definitely consider staying again when driving between Nelson and Christchurch.

With SH1 being closed, it is of course a lot busier with trucks driving past. We heard the neighbours getting up at 7am in the next door unit. Very loud. Bathroom could do with a heater. Host very friendly. Very clean. Wi-Fi very slow.
