We fell in love in this precious resort with cosy bungalows and very friendly staff.
SF Cantina is situated 10 min walking distance from Santa Fe city. They offer great accomodation to affordable prices just a few steps from the white sandy beach.
The service is fantastic, staff is so kind-hearted and help out with everything you need.
We stayed in the bungalow with balcony closest to the beach.
The bedroom was very nice with bamboo bed and there were enough space for clothes and stuff. There was a TV but we never turned it on. AC was in order, but a bit noisy. Cleaning was excellent. We saw a few cockroaches, there always are in these areas, nothing to complaint about.
Bed was comfortable, there was warm water in the cute shower. Wifi was available, sometimes more, sometimes less in the bungalow, but around eating area it worked during all of our stay.
Breakfast was basic but enough. You could also order food any time. The bar was open until about 22:00.
Staff organized boat trips, scooter renting, and other tours, we warmly recommend this place and will come back here again uf visiting Bantayan again.
Big thank you to the staff, you were all fantastic ❤️

This property has three rooms, they are in line so if you don't book the Seaview room you don't get a verandah to sit on or anywhere to sit outside your room. It is basic but the room is insignificant to us when on holiday within reason. The staff are the best part of this experience!!. I went out with Joshue snorkelling and he found lots of shellfish to cook for us all. It's very much our family is your family. We had a bbq the day before we left and wanted to do it for the wonderful staff. The ladies cooked a great meal and my friend Joshue took me to the market at 8am to get the fresh catch. It was a really nice experience. Trinidad was always a great laugh behind the bar too. The whole family make this place.

We spent most of our days lounging at the beach next to the bar . Trinidad is friendly , helpful and a laugh . We were there before Easter weekend so it was pretty quiet . Videoake is always happening so be ready for loud singing .

There's a few huts so get down early . Sand is rocky but water is lovely .

Prices : 50 pesos for bottle of beer , 100 for 1 litre. Food is standard price : sandwich 135 pesos and 190 pesos for rice and chicken. The Club sandwich and coffee shake is amazing ! We had one almost every day ! It takes its time to come but worth it !

Drop in for a chilled out day relaxing .

Yes Trinidad is always gregarious and attentive to guests.Including walk ins. That I gave her a 5-day off while she attends to her nephew who's in vacation from a cruise duty. Our bar is open despite the absence.

The location is nice, bang on the beach.
But unfortunately majority of the staff was both rude and unprofessional. Some of them has some serious attitude problems.
They should all attend a training in customer care.
The resort itself is in bad need of upgrade& renovation. The toilet in our room was hardly working and the beach furniture is about to fall into pieces…no refrigerator in the room and very low water pressure.
In my opinion 2400P/ night is too much for this place considering the poor standard and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there.

We've had a hard time trying to reach out their contact numbers. No one was answering.
We've also been offered overpriced land tour rates in this resort. When I've mentioned that there where other cheap offers outside, the receptionist answered back with an irritated face. I bet she's an exception to the rule; people in Bantayan are really nice except her.
The reception desk most of the time was also unattended so frankly I really dont recommend this resort.
There are lots of beach resorts beside it namely: Sofia, Villacastin, Queen Elizabeth; probably they'd provide an even better service than them.

First of all I want to say that I'm not a hard satisfying person, I mean that I accomodate myself everywhere, but depending on the price I expect a minimum to satisfy my expectations.
So we paid 2500P for a triple room breakfast included, Staff was nice Josue and Carmela on top of it, the location would be the best on the island, and the bar at the beach is the best place on the south beach to spend the day. That is the best of the place, that's why my two points.
The worst was the Karaoke next door from 8:00am till 1:00am, the noisy and overcrowded rooms on weekends, not satisfying breakfast (burnt toasts, only mango jam, the ham is just too cooked andnot good) , and the two mode aircon, either you freeze yourself or you sweat all night.
I do respect the noisy style from the Philippines but they can't charge those rates having that type of clients, I' m sure the Philippines do not pay same rates.
Then if you are looking to relax this is not the best place, at least on weekends. You can just stay somwherelse at the same rate and spend the day on their front beach.
I hope this rating helps them to improve, and helps you to choose depending on what you are expecting.

Our family of five together with three nephews and a niece spent our first venture to the famous beaches of Bantayan Island, Cebu, Philippines last May 20-21, 2017. We stayed at a very private and affordable place by the beach called SF Cantina. The accommodations are good, the staff are courteous ang polite and importantly, the place is much like Boracay sans the commercial hazzles. If you want to unwind in a peaceful ang quite place, this is it! We are looking forward to another stay at SF Cantina together with our balikbayan friends. Wonderful weekend!

The place is cool as it is just in front if the beach. I like that they serve fresh food especially the fish. Although I booked a room good for 3, the room was only viable for 2 so sleep was not really comfortable. But they have good staff and ready to entertain your needs.

We have a great time here. Trinidad was very helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. The beach right in front isn't that good for swimming, lot's of boats around but the locals swim in it. The breakfast was a tiny portion and not too tasty
We'd definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for three nights and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. On arrival we were dropped off by tricycle and we met the receptionist, Trinidad. She greeted us with a smile and plenty of suggestions and promised to help us with any problems or questions we had.

The room was small and compact, but it did the job. We had a small AC unit facing the bed and we paid extra to have the beach view balcony. The view was a little blocked by the reception/bar area but it was still great on a sunny day.

Trinidad and the rest of the staff were the highlight of our stay as they gave 100% effort to cater to all of our needs and to ensure we had an excellent stay. The bar has a karaoke set up which kept us entertained long into the first night as we were the only guests staying on that night.

The second day we asked Trinidad if she could help us with doing a day trip to see some sights around the island. She recommended her friend who we had met on the first night and he took us around on our scooter to some nice places. That evening we had a BBQ together and it was another perfect evening. The third day Trinidad arranged a trip for us to the beautiful Virgin island which was amazing.

The beach did have seaweed along it due to the time of year and weather which was no fault of the hotel but I'd definitely recommend this hotel, and I hope to make another visit in the future to see Trinidad and the boys again in the future.

Monsoon winds, the northwest this months of June to September, bring dead seaweeds and unfurtunately human garbage. The association, SAFETEA, and the local govts conduct monthly coastal clean ups. On daily basis there are volunteers who are for free pick up wrappers, etc. Leftovers and throwaways from locals and tourists alike. Trinidad and I knows of many foreign friends who are volunteering.
