Clean and comfortable. Silent. We always sleep well. Huge room, enormous bed, small shower room, massive separate guest lounge in a wing of the house separate to the owners. North and south views across rolling countryside. Very warm welcome. 100 metres to the pub for a super dinner. Breakfast is even better than my mother’s (and, whispering, my wife’s). Lounge...

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights. We actually had to change our booking at first and when I rang they were really nice and this wasn't a problem, Barbara even saved us money as the site we had initially booked through was charging more than they did, so we re-booked directly with Barbara and saved £10 a night....

We were made to feel very welcome from the start - cakes and wine in the room on arrival. We enjoyed 2 breakfasts, the second a vegetarian option, largely home made was simply the best I have ever had (I am a meat eater!). Great location.

Another marvellous stay with Barbara and Allan in their farmhouse at Cutthorpe, 10 minutes drive from Chatsworth. The ensuite room was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything possible to make our stay very comfortable. The breakfasts were gorgeous, as usual, with everything catered for my gluten and dairy-free requirements. Special diets are absolutely no problem here as all the food...

We had such a lovely stay here over Easter. Barbara and Alan were very welcoming and made us feel at home during our stay, even giving us a couple of her home made Easter biscuits! Our room (the rose room) had a huge bed, en suite and a wardrobe. The en suite is compact but more than large enough for...
