We only stayed here one night as part of an inn-to-inn walk in the Sierra de Aracena but it was one of the (many) highlights of the trip. The conversion of the old house in Cortelazor to a small hotel/inn has been done with amazing style using mainly interiors of English origin - the mix of architectural styles works really...

I would happily pay the price purely to wake up to the view every morning! And it just gets better from there; our hosts were both incredibly welcoming and suggested two beautiful walks for us to do (we stayed only three days). The inn itself is beautiful and the mix of typical Spanish architecture and Victorian England decor works perfectly...

I booked a week 8-15th June after my son had stayed and sung it's praises. La Flamenca Inn possesses the character of a period English country manor which feels homely and spacious. Emblazoned with stained glass windows, oak and intricately patterned and coloured tiled floors, it has the energy and tranquillity of a church. I stayed for 7 nights and...

We stayed two nights at this warm, charming, thoroughly comfortable inn. Lola, the owner, made us feel like part of the family right away. Our room was quiet, clean, and well-appointed, and the meals Lola prepared for us were absolutely delicious. If you are anywhere near Cortelazor, don't miss this unique and unforgettable place.

My husband and I felt very welcome. Our host, Lola is eager to please. She even made us a cup of tea and served it the garden upon our arrival. Our very clean room had a lovely view and was spacious. The giant bath tub was a welcome sight after a long hike. Lola directed us to a restaurant just...

I'm not going to say anything different to any of the other reviewers - just confirming how great the location, property and hosts are. This place is ideal for friends, couples, families and businesses alike. The decor is incredibly unique - you'll never see anything quite like this in your life, in one place, ever. Looking forward to bringing my...

La Flamenca Inn really is unique as much of the furniture and fittings have been brought in from around the world in a painstaking act of restoration. This might sound a bit off-putting and not in fitting with the "authentic" Spain but it works fabulously. It might sound like crazy advice but definitely go there but try not to look...

Spent a few days in early February this year at La Flamenca Inn with Family and friends and had a marvellous time. Not only is the place fantastic, with rural charm and exquisit decor (thanks to the hard restauration work done by many over a long time), in a nice location, but you could not ask for nicer hosts than...

Simply wonderful interior design effort by way of mammoth quantity of salvaged antique traditional furnishings. Although the place had been described to us amazing and unusual we were still surprised at how much so when we first saw inside! (having not checked out photos before hand.) The owners are helpful and easy going too. Lovely village with friendly local community...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sofas, games, reclaimed radiators... A slice of Victoriana in Andalucia, an amazing village house with lovely owners. One for creative souls Welcome to the cobbled village of Cortelazor (three tapas bars, one shop, a pool), set in a delightful bowl surrounded by trees and almost-English hills. La Flamenca was once a house and bakery (locals still talk about getting their bread here) but all that remains is the listed front wall. Now two wooden doors transport you from the hot Huelva to a slice of Victorian England, gloriously spread over three floors: rent a room or take it all. Lola and Peter's welcome is warm: she with a degree in fine arts, he a musician, both quietly passionate about their new project. The atrium is the core of the house and where they hold flamenco evenings (with Peter on guitar): note the church pews and the very pretty old Swiss stove, tall and tiled. The grand salon has amazing stained-glass windows, the kitchen is in country style. Bedrooms are a cornucopia of reclaimed parquet floors and Art Deco pieces... William Morris curtains, a four-poster from Alexandria, an enamelled bath that weighed a ton! The garden is new, with a yoga lawn, a barbecue, and a hot tub with views of the Sierra Morena. ... more   less
