Despite a major refurbishment program going on i must congratulate the management team as I was given first class service from check in to check out. On arrival, i was greeted by Georgina, a very happy member of staff and check in was fast and courteous. My refurbished king size bedroom was very spacious, spotlessly clean and very quiet. I... The hotel is being refurbished at the moment so there is a lot of work going on. Didn't really get in the way of my stay. Room was pretty chilly, noisy (both from the near by M4 and from the corridor) with pretty dire decor (threadbare carpets, mouldy bathroom). Clearly the current refurbishment can't come soon enough. Hopefully they'll sort... More

I stayed at the Coldra Court on business for a couple of nights this week and as a regular traveler I found it very dated and old fashioned. My room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable but the switches, bathroom and general décor were a throwback to hotels in the 1990’s. By today’s standards it wasn’t great and... More

Dear Northone Thank you for your review. Apologies however for the disturbance from other guests, our night team do regular patrols of the hotel to check security and also to try and ensure all noise is kept to a minimum so I am very sorry that you were still disturbed, its certainly not a regular occurrence for us. In regard... More

Perfectly located for a chill out golf weekend with the family. The hotel was clearly going through a major refurb which did impact the weekend a little. However, once it is finished we'll definitely be back. The on site restaurant was great for evening meals. Think it was called Seasons. Portion size was a little bit stingy! Try and get... More

Found the rooms to be very outdated looks like they have spent a fortune on the lobby area and very little on everywhere else threadbare carpets throughout found staff rude and abrupt and breakfast was very mediocre we ended up having a proper breakfast in the beefeater round the corner

Having been booked into the Celtic Manor Resort I was naturally excited and looking forward to the experience. However, my room was not at the main complex but in the Coldra Court Hotel. No biggie really as one would have thought the standards would be of a similar high standard. Wrong! The room would probably have been quite nice at... More

The old Hilton was suffering from a complete lack of refurbishment, and when I first stayed here under the new management, I was is one of the old rooms. We went to this hotel, recently taken over by Celtic Manor I am told. There were about 100 of us visiting for the day on a conference. The coffee on arrival was tasteless and when the milk ran out the staff were reluctant to get more. This rather set the tone for the less than generous lunch with a few... More

Stayed here last night with my husband for a 1 night stay as we were travelling east this morning. We paid £59 and received a bottle of prosecco. The car park seemed busy, we arrived late, we parked elsewhere as didn't need to pay for the car park. When we checked in I was asked if I wanted to upgrade... More
