Compton swan is a lovely hotel very clean and food superb. Staff were very caring and accommodating as I have an eating problem. Plenty of parking. Nice quiet location in a quaint village consisting of one village shop/post office . Charming.

Very friendly owners, nothing was too much trouble. Very helpful in booking taxis to our evening event, just very thoughtful. Breakfast was amazing. Ingredients very good quality, presentation of breakfast, fantastic. As good as I eaten in many a year. We never had an evening meal there but very busy atmosphere and a good menu

A place for a chat in a friendly and unspoilt setting. The cheese and onion cobs ate tasty too!😀 A local for everyone of all ages in which you are made to feel welcome. The beer is always good which means a happy hubby

We have been here before and enjoyed a fabulous meal. Today we were very disappointed. The food was bland, the plates were well presented, but this stands for nothing if the food is not tasty. We started with the chicken liver pate, the brioche toast was cold and soggy, assume it was toasted earlier in the day. The pate, was...

Long waiting times at the bar are not offset by the quality of the beer it truly is consistently bad. Glasses covered in a murky brown film. But this OK "it comes from the glass washer". God knows what the inside of said washer looks like. If there's a problem with it don't be lazy wash them by hand. Now...

Stayed one night to attend local function. Room was excellent, modern and very clean. Bed very comfortable. Didn't eat in the evening but if breakfast is anything to go by with the attention to detail on content and presentation I'd give 5/5.

Met a friend for dinner and a chat here. Very good friendly service and highly recommended menu! Freshly made vegetarian dish and great atmosphere too! Easily accessible from the A34 set in the quiet little village of Compton with available parking in the pub grounds.

This is our local pub - great to have a good pub in walking distance. Always friendly and welcoming. This is not cheap mass produced pub grub. The food is always good to excellent and the menu is varied. They will go out of their way to provide something specific, e.g. for vegetarians or if you are lactose intolerant. The...

We stopped here for one night to break up a log journey home, our aim was to have a nice evening meal and a good nights sleep. We were not disappointed. The greeting on arrival was warm and friendly and we were shown to our lovely bright and spacious room with an enormous comfy bed. Our meal was a gastronomic...
