Really warm welcome even without having pre-booked. They can cook for you, but were happy to let me into the second kitchen to have a go as well. Even offered some nice pointers. Well designed and airy building so nice and cool even without AC. Interesting architecture, not your run of the mill concrete block, and while the 3rd floor...

We spent one night here and joined a wedding celebration! We were made to feel welcome even though the staff were really busy with the wedding. The rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable. The hotel had a really sociable feel to it.

The first thing you notice when arriving at the Mannar Guest House is the unique architecture of the building. It was a work-in-progress as another floor was being added at that time. This was the only decent place I could find in Mannar. The room was air-conditioned and clean, the bathroom was good but there were no windows so it...

My review is based on the fact that after having booked online via a third party site, the owner of the hotel refused to accept the booking on the day of arrival and claimed the hotel was full and very rudely told me not come there! Was really terrible knowing that you had no place to stay, having traveled all...

The owner speaks good English, he's friendly and helpful. I had a non AC room which was freshly decorated and clean. Any marks had been repainted, unfortunately in a different paint, but it showed high standards. The water was unheated but in that heat that was fine. The hotel had wide corridors through which the air flowed, comfortable sofas made...

We came in Mannar to visit the island and go to Talaimannar. It was really worth the visit. We had a really great time exploring with a tuk-tuk. The hotel manager called the tuk-tuk for us and we got a nice and friendly driver called Lulu. We went to Talaimannar and to the fishermen on the beach. It's really worth...
