As you can see from my reviews we seldom submit a low starred one and this hotel will suit a lot of people. We arrived at 4.30pm on the day booked and the place was shut, we went round to the side door and were welcomed by a very nice lady, Karen. It was like the Marie Celest,

Hello Paul. My hotel is far from on it's last legs. As you said, when you arrived we were very quiet. All our guests were at a local wedding so there were no cars in the carpark. The hotel has been fully painted outside just a week ago. I hear Specsavers do a great offer. Refurbishment is continuing on the inside. I did not say the nearest village "is miles away". I showed you from the window exactly where the next village was. I offered to open the bar for you, but even your partner seemed to think 4:30 was a little early for you to start drinking. You booked a quiet countryside hotel, that's exactly what you got. We do not have enormous TVs which dominate the rooms as most of our quests prefer to enjoy their surroundings. As I have not personally stayed at a Blackpool B&B, I can't comment on their standard. The return of your room key would be appreciated. You were charged as per the terms and conditions of your booking with Booking.com. As you didn't actually stay at the hotel you were not able to leave a review with them so you have resorted to venting your anger at not being refunded here. People usually are rude when they don't get exactly what they want, and that is how you have responded. Karen.

We visited this pub as we have passed may times and never called in so thought it was time we did. Firstly we were unsure if the pub was open. It was,the pub was very dated and run down. The chap who greeted us made us feel like we were inconveniencing him. We looked at the menu

Stayed at the campsite as walking Offa's Dyke. Had evening meal at the pub and it was excellent. Both landlord and landlady extremely friendly and helpful. Basic facilities for campers but adequate. Camping was in the beer garden but as it was wet very quiet.

Just a brief visit. Host was very welcoming indeed, and the breakfast (I was the only visitor, it was in the depths of January) was also UK. Honestly though, apart from the price, I thought I was reliving the mid-1970s.
