Had an awesome stay at African Heart. Friendly staff and met awesome people. I absolutely love art effect of the entire house. My room was excellent and so grateful for the fan in the room. The entire house is very funky, young and pleasant. Extremely friendly staff which is a big bonus including the helper, she's very sweet. Thank you...

I had a fun 6 night stay at African Heart. Met amazing people and had a great time. It is an affordable place to stay and provides the best value for money in the area. It is walking distance from the Groote Schuur Hospital which is where I worked during the time. Expect lower end accommodation and a true backpackers...

Very friendly staff that greeted us on arrival but the room was quaint. The bathroom was on top of everything and the shower and toilet were on opposite side of the room that was only down part. The room was beautifully painted.

We loved staying at this place. We had a really nice and clean room. Access to a light breakfast and a big kitchen. Whenever we needed advice for a tour or trip we received great help from staff. It's definitely a place I would recommend to young people traveling (it might get noisy at night especially on weekends, but I...

this is a great option if you are young and are on a budget. there are lots of local shops, restaurants, bars for entertainment. my only problem was that there was no heater in the room. the winter time it gets pretty cold compared to what i am used to in california

loved our stay at African Heart. The place is in a good location close to shops and restaurants, and we enjoyed using public transport to access the city's sights, mostly by train. The area is busy, lots of students, quirky cafes and really cool to see how multi-cultural it is, much more than anywhere else we saw in SA. The...

The staff, though laid back, were friendly and very helpful when it came time to book excursions and call a cab. The hostel is neatly decorated. The location is not great as the neighborhood is sketchy with some shady characters hanging around as well as quite noisy throughout the night. I would suggest spending a little more money on an...
