My husband and I have just had a wonderful holiday in Cape Town. We stayed at Brooklands House for 10 days while visiting relatives. It really is the perfect place to stay, fantastic hosts Philip and Sandra made us very welcome together with their team of staff. The accommodation is first class, so comfortable with great attention to detail. No... More

This is a guest house run by staff with a hands off approach by the owners. One member of the staff was frankly rude The breakfast is poor as there is no cook and the office girl does everything The fan in the room did not work and there is no air conditioning

The bedrooms are very comfortable and I appreciated the attention to detail like fresh flowers and fruit and heated towel rails etc. Breakfast in the morning - the-works omelette was delicious. Highly recommend place to stay when... More

We had a good time at Brooklands House. We booked in at very short notice and spent two nights along with my daughter's family - toddler and baby. Our enquiries were dealt with promptly and efficiently. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The sun room and garden make this a very relaxing place to stay and is conveniently located.... Brooklands House is a fabulous b and b. We have just returned from a 4 night stay with our 2 adult children. The house itself is a beautiful old Victorian with many original features such as wooden floors and pressed ceilings, and our room, which had a four poster bed had the original wiggly glass in the sash windows. The... More

We only spent one night here but thought it really lovely. Sandra recommended a wonderful Italian restaurant for dinner and got up to wave us off at 5am. She then very kindly arrived at the airport with our camera that we had forgotten. Our room which was very comfortable also had a lovely 4 poster bed. The gardens were gorgeous... More

“The room with the four poster bed is gorgeous and comfortable and has a lovely view of the mountain. It also gets the afternoon sun which is lovely. Our children's room, number 4, was much darker and not as glamorous. It faces South so can be quite chilly.”
