I was on a European road trip with my brother and we stopped at the Hotel du Chemin Des Dames in Corbeny France. We first visited it when it was the Hotel du Commerce back in 1966 when we visited with my Father and Mother so it had great nostalgia for us. It has been refurbished and extended but they...

A good hotel for a stop-over en route from Calais (about 2 1/2 hours) between Laon and Reims. Easy on and off the motorway. Quiet village, hotel has bar and restaurant just up the road. Good food and service.

This was booked as part of a classic car rally. The room was very small. The carpet was dirty as was the bathroom. The empty sachets of hair and body was were not removed from the shoer. We had to ask for toilet paper and then there was nowhere to put it. Apart from the floor. The cover on the...

We stayed as part of a tour organized on our behalf. The hotel is quiet in a quieter village south east of Laon. Would be good as an overnight stop on your travels- but don't expect a hearty breakfast. It was limited to tasty croissant and buns and jam. The hotel's restaurant wasn't open when we were there. A laid...

We were looking for a hotel where we would not have to fight with city traffic and that looked unique in the photos. We wished we had chosen a more standard hotel in Laon. Our room was in the old part of the hotel where sounds from the reception area resonate up the stairs and into the rooms. The toilet...

We arrived late afternoon in what appeared to be an empty reception area and after some moments pondering what to do and studying the photographs adorning the walls, a chap jumped up from behind the reception counter to complete the formalities of registering us. Parking behind the hotel was easy and a level entrance made getting luggage into the hotel...

This hotel is the only one in the village and is linked with the only restaurant in the village, we stayed there for four nights and used the restaurant as well both had high standards and we would stay there again. The restaurant served a great choice and quality of food and we could not find anything to criticize in either...

firstly-location-about 2 hours from the channel tunnel so convenient for a late afternoon crossing-easy enough to find between Laon and Reims. Rooms a bit small but comfortable enough-good restaurant attached to the hotel although about 10 mins walk along a route national. Good typical french fare at reasonable prices. No issue if travelling with a dog-we had two adjoining rooms...

We were pleased to stumble on this place. An air-conditioned bedroom during a heatwave certainly helped us to be positively disposed to it, as did the cheerful, welcoming proprietress, and the excellent local beer. Bed was very comfortable and the location (away from the busy main road) was quiet. As the kind of place it is (ie unpretentious), I judge...

This typical French country town hotel is a convenient overnight stop on the way further south. It seems to have been recently renovated and the rooms are nicely decorated in a fairly elaborate style and all the common parts are attractive. Service is low key and very friendly. The beds (we stayed twice in ten days) are comfortable and the...
