We were a group of 3 women. We booked as Club Mahindra members as it’s a Club Mahindra affiliate resort.
This is a value for money 3 star resort with pool where one can have a comfortable stay. Order a la carte meals or even request for specially customised food (we did).
Anil Ji runs the resort ably assisted by Abhishek Ji, both did a wonderful job providing us personalised warm hospitality.
Bundela Resort is located in Tala close to all 3 core zones: Tala, Magdhi and Khitauli gates.
We had mailed prior to arrival asking for adjacent rooms. Our check in was speedy and we were shown to our spacious well appointed rooms.
The room has a double bed as well as a large pull out bed. Space to keep 3 suitcases and a balcony overlooking the garden. The window has netting to keep out insects, the room is well lit with good reading lights, microwave, kettle, AC etc
What I loved: The service orientation of all the staff from room service to housekeeping and everyone in between.
The freshly prepared breakfast they gave us every morning for safari, with a table cloth to put on our Gypsy bonnet.
The hot water for bathing, whether at 5 am Pre safari or late night. Very important when it’s a cold.
The choice to be Eco friendly and opt for RO drinking water instead of packaged.
—- Note: no bar on the property.
The resort is adjacent to Bandavpur Natuonal Park Buffer Zone and signs caution one not to wander outside without the security guards.
This means mobile network coverage is negligible so hotel WIFi is our only way to connect with family/work back home..
WiFi could be spotty or power can go (they have back up power).
Great for a family holiday or friend’s getaway.

Just back from a mind blowing trip from Bandhavgarh and here's a candid review of my stay at Bundela resort (Club Mahindra).
Let's just start by acknowledging the fact that the Management is just a few months old and the property is quite older than the Management.
We arrived here expecting the rooms to be of Club Mahindra Quality and were surprised to find that the room was quite small, ill planned (AC & TV on the side wall - which made them less efficient in cooling the room and gave us a weird angle to watch anything). We were promptly attended to when we checked in late in night around 11.30 pm.
After checking in the Machan room we found the bed sheet stained with dogs paw marks, some foul smell in the restroom and highly ineffective AC. Since we were tired we slept in and then early morning left for the safari.
It was only upon returning from the safari is when our whole experience started improving. The Management was prompt in getting our room changed all while apologizing for the bedseet and poor upkeep of the 1st room.
They then gave us a stand fan which was a life saver and it worked like wonder in getting the room cooled when coupled with the AC.
We spent most of the time on safaris but our experience did improve so much that while we would have initially rated the place a 2 star has now turned to a 4.5 star rating due to the staffs warmth and helpful nature.
They facilitated the stay and made sure that the experience only kept better with each passing day.
The food here is very tasty and the portion ia alsk good enough for the prices they have. The chef really cooks up some finger smacking food that has the extra homely touch so u don't end up with chest or heart burns due to excessive spice.
A special mention of Somnath who plays multiple roles of Security at night, a tour guide foe nature walks, assistant to the cook for the breakfast we carried foe our safaris. He is one of the sincerest chap we met at this place. Also a special mention of Abhishek, Anil, Mukesh and all the staff in the kitchen and housekeeping. They work such wonderfully like cogs in a giant machine all while delivering quality service and heart warming smiles.
Our experience went from, "I will never visit here again" (1st impression) to "This will be the only place I will stay at every time we come here" (by the time we left).
Truly a great place to stay at.
P.S: I really hope the Management upgrades the place a bit cuz then there would be no further reason for anyone to ever complain about anything.

Very sweet, cooperative and helpful staff. Homely atmosphere and food served fresh and delicious. Chef ensure the flavours as per your choice. The property is huge and beautiful but the rooms needs renovation/maintenance and tents need to be redone at the earliest.
Staff is very cooperative and supportive and try their best to ensure that your stay is comfortable. Mr. Anil Singh is very hard working and is always there to motivate, guide and support his staff and take care that all necessary is done to make the guest stay comfortable.

Excellent stay overall....the staff and management is very customer-friendly and provides excellent service. Special thanks to GM Shri Anil Singh and his team as well as Sunl Kewat in housekeeping and Rajabali in restaurant, who took special efforts to make our stay memorable. The resort provides one-stop service including safari bookings. Location is very close to the Core zone gates (Tala, Khitauli and Magadhi) which offer the best chances of tiger sightings. We had booked two rooms 115-116 here through Club Mahindra and stayed three nights in February second week. The rooms are spacious with large comfortable beds and had an additional sofa-cum-bed. Rooms are well furnished with refrigerator, hot water kettle and even a microwave. The bathroom has its own hot water geyser which was essential with the freezing cold turn in the weather. There is a very nice sit out at the back to relax between safaris. The housekeeping was very prompt and responsive to all demands for a room heater, additional blanket etc. Bath and room linen was spotlessly clean. We had all our meals at the restaurant and enjoyed all of them, though the service got overwhelmed a couple of times. The property is very well laid out in a circle and well maintained. There is a good swimming pool which was shut because of the cold and the pandemic. Outstanding hospitality by Mr. Anil Singh, General Manager, who would visit the restaurant at all meals to attend to any needs of the guests. Phone network was spotty but the wifi worked well. Would stay again.

Tucked away in the buffer zone barely a couple of km away from Tala Gate is the Bundela Resort by Octave. Well appointed rooms and manicured garden were a surprising delight in the middle of a forest so far away from any major town.
The most stand of feature of this resort is its hospitality. Smiling and warm staff with fast service made my stay very comfortable. A shout out to Abhishek Sharma and Anil Sing. Abhishek went out of his way to arrange my safaris 3 days in row at 3 different gates despite my not having booked these online in advance. I finally managed to see 5 tigers in one go (one Dotty and her 4 female cubs) on my last safari at Magadhi gate, thanks to extra ordinary efforts made by Abhishek. Being a solo traveler, no gypsy was willing to come and fetch me. Somnath, the night security in charge willingly offered to drop me at the main ticket counter on his bike on all 3 days at 6 in the morning and bring me back on my return.
It is fully a functional well maintained and the best value for money property.

Wonderful place to stay. Good food as the quality of food served is very tasty and hygienic. Covid norms are being followed. The place with lots of fun and the nature can be enjoyed. A nice place to stay at Bandhavgarh.

Soothing ambience with nice interior. Stayed at machaan villa, has sufficient space for two people. Although amenities like fridge, electric kettle and microwave were there, but the facilities like dental kit, comb, hair dryer,iron, slippers were missing. Also a resort with pool facility should provide bathrobes. There was some network issue which was obvious considering the location. Food quality was poor, for the amount they are charging, taste was disappointing.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in Nov 2022. Overall, it was very good. The staff and particularly the general manager were excellent. They fulfilled our every request quickly and efficiently. The facility was very nice with large free-standing bungalows. The grounds were very well kept. The food was fine. It is a relatively small place and the food is made to order. We consistently got what we wanted, when we wanted it. The accessibility to the park was excellent. It is quite close to the entrances. We had not booked our safaris ahead of time (and we should have!). The general manager and his team did an outstanding job getting us access. They should be commended for addressing this huge mistake. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking an alternative to the big 3 or 4 hotels that you see online. It was less expensive, and you get a nice feeling of connection with the area. My one constructive criticism is the WIFI was not all that we expected. At times there was limited internet access in our bungalow. This issue was the one negative that prevented a "5". To top it all off, we saw 2 tigers on our 3rd safari, and it was magical!

As all mahindra initiatives this resort also had the standard amenities such as good swimming pool, play area and so on. Best part was there was not much interference by the staff who were very polite gentle and promptly responsive... had a great time.. good for family as well

You shall go to Mint Bandhavgarh Resort or TigerGarh Wildlife Resort. Both were great with different environments/prices. But not far from each other. Same "village".
There are more places to choose from in the Tala area.
