We chose tiger tail based on trip advisor and booking.com reviews. From the time of booking, check in, and check out all were smooth. The manager, the Room service in charge Mr. Ranjith who accompanied us for bird watching, and other staff were friendly. The food on day one was really soothing and the curds and their dessert were excellent. We were not able to understand the logic behind allotting the cottage even when the entire property is vacant. On day 1, only 2 guests for the entire 20 rooms, but somehow, both of us were put side by side. When requested for change, the manager shifted us to the next cottage and by night again he filled the adjacent room with a new guest when the other 8 cottages were empty.
On day two unfortunately as we have experienced earlier also in some resorts, the same issues, a group of people fill in the entire cottages and try to create city kind of partying with loud music and screaming at joy, which is very irritating for nature lovers. We travel that far and want to be in the midst of forest and natural reserves mainly to enjoy the serenity and peace. This tiger trail being inside the forest should stop all these kinds of nuances of bulk bookings. The boys carried their own speakers and music system. Luckily after we complained by 9.50 pm, it was reduced. The Breakfast packing for Safaris and wake-up call with hot tea early in the morning all were quite pleasing. Overall it's a nice place to stay and I would recommend it for all nature lovers if we have not had this type of unfortunate guest.

The only regret with Tiger Trails.....we should have stayed more nights here instead of just 2 !!

What a property and how well maintained it is. Right from phone bookings and planning till check-out, every detail was well taken care of. The person heading this resort Mr. Shivendra is perhaps one of the most sensible and approachable person I have come across in this line. He left nothing to chance, made everything very clear and took care of all aspects.

We were 6 pax and took 3 rooms for 2 nights. The chill & the fog gave this place a surreal feeling. Cottages are well separated, well maintained, bathrooms are huge and opulent, hot water available at all times, open seating area behind the rooms, ever helpful room boys at your disposal at all times.

Cannot write a review without mentioning the breakfast. The rolls, cutlets, piping hot thick parathas, eggs on order, puri aloos, crispy toasts with fresh juices, they were simply fantastic.

Without even asking, Mr. Shivendra arranged for bonfire along with fulsome juicy chicken tandoori to go by. He even joined us with his recipe of Jungle Tea (with liberal amounts of rum). To listen to the stories of the jungle (from him who happens to be a tranied naturalist himself) at night around a bonfire, while you sip some hot rum tea while gorging on tandoori chicken is like living through the pages of some Jim Corbett book.

The safari's were arranged by the resort, they took care to get the best of drivers who were well versed with the jungle. They even arranged us a picnic trip to Chechpur Falls to which we are thankful, else we would never have known about it.

When you go on morning safaris by 6 am, the resort guys will ensure you have blankets to carry in the jeep, hot breakfast and water will be individually packed for you.

There is simply nothing which was wrong with this place, even its costing is very affordable and every penny's worth.

We are already planning for a longer stay during the summers this year to Tiger Trails.

We stayed as a group of 5 family friends. Right from the rooms to overall ambience of the resort, everything seems great.
The attitude of the hotel staff was friendly and they accommodated our request for
complimentary bonfire and early breakfast.
The staff also arranged for the safari vehicle to come at the resort and avoided our travel to Taka Gate for payment and other formalities. Quick tip - book your vehicle permit well in advance and don't depend on hotel to do the booking for you.
I would like to thank Mr Mukesh and Mr Rajan for their great attitude and courtesy.
The deluxe cottage were spacious, bathroom were clean, linen were neat.
The food was excellent and reasonable.
The only constructive feedback I would give is for the food service which I found a little slow.
Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this property for leisure lovers.

A 3.5 hour ride from Jabalpur, Tiger Trails is a great resort for a tiger safaris. Its situated right near the Tala Gate and only a few kilometers from the other gates.

The food was excellent here, we stayed for three days and every meal was outstanding.

The staff were fantastic, very eager to please.

My only criticism is that the rooms didn't have housekeeping, we made our own beds and when we arrived there was no toilet roll in the bathroom. The bathroom was very basic. One of our rooms really smelt of sewer and urine too.

Also be prepared for the tiger safaris - they start at 5.30am which we weren't made aware of - in fact we had no communication from the resort about the safaris and had to chase for information. Had we known, we would have packed warmer clothes as its very cold in the mornings. We were given blankets but only 2 between 4 of us and it wasn't enough - we were absolutely freezing in the open top jeeps until the sun came up. We did ask for more blankets but were told they had to go to other guests.

The tiger safaris were great fun, we had three safaris and saw tigers close up on three of them. Breakfasts were packed and were generally at about 9am. We were taken to different gates for each of our safaris.

Would recommend

I am writing this review while I am at Tiger Trails resort, Tala, Bandhavgarh. This is my penultimate day when I am writing the review. I have given 2 rating, but let me start me some positive things:

1. The resort location is very good, 1.5 km to Tala gate
2. The property is good, with open spaces, dense tree cover and nice looking huts
3. It is pet friendly.

There are four of us here for 3 days and our experience has been terrible. The amount of money we paid- 6k full board is not comparable to the service here at the resort, and I have paid less in better resorts across other similar places.

1. The housekeeping and service is terribly pathetic. It takes the staff eternity to understand basic requirements and then fulfilling them is another task for them
2. Quality of food is really poor and they don't give much choices.
3. The staff don't listen to any requests and would want to charge for small small things
4. Service time is too long, lunch and dinners are not on time
5. Cleanliness is a big issue, there are insects like wild ants, cockroaches etc. Inside the room
6. Housekeeping took away our stuff without asking and will leave used cups and plates outside the room.

All in all, a pathetic experience while the resort offers so much of promise. We don't know whether it is because of the pandemic or not... But this resort is not recommended.

We stayed there on 28th Aug, 2021
Cons:
There is no proper way to reach there. If it's rain then river flows over the bridge. The rooms were smelling and full of insects and honey bees. We had honey bee bite and asked for spray in the night to remove them. Dangerous Jungle dogs were roaming around all the time while eating and kids paly. Kids play area was full of dog loo and cow dungs. If you dislike the unhygenic and you want to opt out you will loose all your money.
Pros:
Polite staff.

Our third visit to this great lodge, ideally situated for tiger safaris in nearby Bandhavgarh national park,Tala,Madhya Pradesh. The accommodations, although a little dated, are spacious and perfectly fine. The food is plentiful, freshly cooked and absolutelt delicious. The staff all go out of their way to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Special mention must be made to the owner/manager Mukhesh, a true gentleman who will do everything possible to ensure you have an amazing time. We organised our stay here through Indian Holiday PVT Ltd and they, along eith Mukhesh, booked morning and afternoon safaris to the various zones in Bandhavgarh. Their itinerary also included airport transfers and overnight hotel stay in Delhi before our return flight to theUK.
For anyone interested in wildlife, especially birds, the grounds of the resort offer great opportunities to see/photograph a wide range of species. However, tigers are the main reason people visit this national park and boy does this place live up to it's reputation as one of the best sites tosee these iconic cats. During our 6 morning and 5 afternoon safaris we had TWENTY ONE tiger sightings!
If you would like to see these beautiful cats,I simply can't recommend using Indian Holiday PVT Ltd too highly, especially if you stay at the excellent Tiger Trails Reort where Mukesh will help in any way he can.

A place of natural beauty and care. Being a solo traveller, i never felt more at home. There were insects and other small creatures in the room. I would advise for some more cleanliness. Mr Bhajji, one who is incharge of dining took great care too. Food was very good and tasted like home cooked meals.
Mr Mukesh who is incharge there took care of everything like safaris, pick up and drops and any small request was taken care of. A man made reservoir for the birds shows the sensitivity for conservation. There itself i sighted many birds. I would recommend this place to any nature lover and is not highly disturbed by insects.
If you are in the midst of the forest, one has to pass these.
I was really sad leaving the resort and would advise people to go for it.
It is not a verry luxury stay, having said that, the resort was full at all times of my three nights visit.
I hope the resort can maintain this, and does not destroy it's ambience with loud music.
A little more cleanliness would be appreciated..
Overall a fabulous experience.

MP trip was on the cards since Nov '23. We planned to visit Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Pench wildlife sanctuaries in this trip.
Starting the Trip with Bandhavgarh, which is said to be a tiger haven and it's highly likely to sight the otherwise elusive carnivore.
Here at Bandhavgarh we stayed at the Tiger Trails resort in the Tala zone. It's very close to the core zone.
The resort is splendid within the lap of nature. The rooms are spacious with good provision for hot water as we travelled during the winter month(February). The rooms have heaters too. Everyone in the staff is very very humble, helpful and very courteous. They all are localities and so very much in sync with how to keep the ecological balance. We had booked our safaris well in advance which is a must here. Mr. Mukesh Yadav and Mr. Mukesh Awasthi who are the managers here are both very very helpful. They made sure we had a very comfortable stay. They helped us with getting a good Guide for the safaris which is pivotal for such trips. Food at the resort was tasty too. homely without much oil. Simple and healthy.
All in all an excellent resort for family, gang of friends or even a lone traveller.

I visited the resort for two nights in October 23. The resort is located right beside the core zone of Tala. The cozy cottages are nicely planned, with sufficient space between them. The service provided by the resort support team is awesome. They were very prompt and eager to help with any needs. I must mention the names of two people, Manager Mukeshji and Sharmaji. Manager Mukeshji is always there to help tourists with any needs, while Sharmaji takes care of food and beverage. He always has a smile on his face and is very caring. He stands at the restaurant continuously, whether we went for lunch or dinner. If there is a morning safari, he wakes up early to arrange for parcel breakfast for the benefit of tourists. In one word, I am overwhelmed by the support of the full team of Tiger Trails. I would definitely consider staying at this place again if I visit Bandhavgarh in the future.
