The motel was clean and the amenities were updated. We could bring our dog, which was a bonus! We looked for the free breakfast, but it’s not included anymore. They need to update their website for that. Otherwise, everything was great! We would definitely stay here again
Clean, quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s a bit dated but provides very good value if what is important is a basic place to spend the night. I spent a very comfortable night. Provides a good base to visit the area. I would go back. Highly recommended.
We decided on Le Pigeonnier Motel because it was close enough to Le Zoo De Granby. We absolutely love the rural setting of all these small towns in eastern Quebec. This motel sits close to many local restaurants/stores and close to major highway 10 for easy access to bigger towns. Motel Le Pigeonner seems very recently refurbished as or room was spotless. There’s a nice TV, fridge and Microwave oven. My only complaint would be the air conditioner, as it seem too small for the size of the room. Staff is friendly and courteous. Complimentary breakfast as well: coffee, muffins, toast and a small variety of fruits.
Check-in was fast. Was given extra towels because we were four and didn't even need to ask. Our room was clean and spacious. Not a whole lot to do or see around the motel but the Granby zoo is within 30 minutes of driving so it's all good.
We stayed one night and found the bed to be comfortable. The room had a strong smell of cleaners but we were able to leave the door open for a couple of hours. Be aware there is no coffee making facility in the room and no hairdryer....but it was a budget motel do we accepted that. Coffee was only served at breakfast. It was a good continental breakfast which included warm boiled eggs
We had a very kind hostess who met our expectations. The bed was very comfortable and welcome after a long drive and the facilities met our needs. We spent two nights at the hotel as we went visiting the area. There is a good cafe across the street and we dined there several times.
Stopped here for the night while biking between Montreal and Granby. It is only five minutes off the bike trail and centrally located in town. The room was fine, bed comfortable, clean and with a fridge in the room. There wasn't storage for my bike but they let me keep it in the room. There is a pool but it is a small above-ground and not heated. Continental breakfast was included in the room and it had enough things to stock up for the day's ride including hard boiled eggs. Take rue Normandin from the bike trail to get to the motel and you will pass a microbrewery and cheese outlet.
We spent one night at Le Pigeonnier during a bike tour as it was only a few kilometres from the bike-trail turnoff. The owner was very helpful and friendly and the room was basic, but spacious and clean. We really appreciated and enjoyed the free buffet-style breakfast.
To quote a hilarious commercial- the place was more murder then we expected. Serious language barrier with the Asian staff and front desk. The motel is old and therefore feels dirty although they staff does a decent job of house keeping. It reminded me of cheap hostels I've stayed in while hitching across Europe. I would not stay here again as St Jeans is only 30 mins down the road and has a full compliment of modern hotels. Dinning in Farnham is also very limited for a stay of more then a day or two- we were here for a week and spent a lot of time in transit to St Jeans.
Staying here with my boyfriend Nov 8,9. He is here for hunting so while he is out in the woods during the day I needed to make sure there was stuff to do around me to to occupy myself while he was away. The location is great. There is a little town to the left of the hotel where they have une brasserie and a cute gourmet restaurant. Le Canard Gourmet. There are also little restaurants outside the hotel like pizza and breakfast place. Not far away there is the town of Cowansville where I booked a massage and facial. There are so many vineyards around, not difficult to find fun things to do. Hotel: Staff very friendly. Breakfast served as of 4:30 ( for the hunters who wake up early!) breakfast not great. Only toast, cereal and coffee but Timhortons right next door. Price in low season 69/night +tax. This was the cheapest we found in this area. I checked out Auberge le Carrefour in Cowansville but more expensive and heard bad reviews. All in all I recommend this place, and would come back next year in hunting seasons! …
