We just popped in for a quick drink, but ended up staying for 3 hours! Such a lovely, welcoming place. The blonde lady behind the bar was friendly and very accommodating. I have not got a bad word to say about it. I'm looking forward to going back to try some food!

The Inn is obviously in need of some TLC but the fact that it has a monopoly on the bar trade in the area is a disincentive to invest. [ see accommodation photos in particular] Food is ok but the trick of charging extra for veg, side-salad, mushy peas etc to go with an overpriced main is naughty and does...

Visited the Stein Inn in Feb 2107 and the drive along the single track road was well worth it. You are greeted with stunning views and lovely seating area outdoors and great food, dogs are also welcome = well worth a visit if you are in this area of Skye

After a long journey,if you are lucky and end up here you won't be disappointed.Right on the sea front with views of cliffs and islands, The room was large warm 2 Windows looking on to the sea,a very good power shower. The food is above standard pub food and the great wee bar is better stocked than meny in Edinburgh.Sitting...

Despite a small bar there are two larger rooms for meals. The beers are limited unless you want bottled beers. There was a good selection of gins. Service was good, but I did not eat on this visit, I have previously had good food. They have a captive audience as there are no other pubs locally.

Myself and three friends are visiting Skye and thought we would go out for a meal and take the dogs with us! We found out it was NOT dog friendly at all! The food was OK, nothing special, very expensive served by miserable staff! We were never asked how our meal was, was everything ok! Very disappointed in our visit,...

Had lunch and a pint in this, the oldest Inn on the Isle of Skye. Oldie worldie interior meets 1970's bar which is a bit odd if not disappointing. Very tasty daily soup offering with a Mallaig flakey smoked salmon salad which was simply divine. Lovely art galley next door and the Boathouse holiday let along the bay once owned...

When we stayed at the Stein Inn in 2007, we loved it and hoped to return. This summer we were able to stay for 5 nights, and it was great! Angus and Teresa have maintained the quality of the hotel and restaurant. Our room was upstairs, overlooking the street and the loch, over the bar (but not noisy at all)....

With guests visiting our Skye home up on the Trotternish, we set out to explore the upper reaches of the Waternish peninsula. At the lovely wee fishing village of Stein we discovered hidden treasure: the "Stein Inn". The oldest tavern on the entire island, it has a welcoming and historical atmosphere - one could immediately sense bygone days when smugglers...

Stayed nearby in August for a week and a visit here for dinner was a must do for us. The location is great, right by the coast, superb view out over Loch Bay, the evening was pleasant so we sat outside for a drink while we waited on a table becoming available. This place is always popular so do expect...
