Lovely rural location in a well refurbished country house. The customer service was very good and we got a free upgrade to a four-poster room which was great. The hotel is clean and well decorated and the rooms have a lovely mix of furniture in keeping with the house and more modern touches as well. The bathroom was quite small...

We stayed here over the course of a 3-night midweek break and had a lovely, lovely time. I would say that the hotel buildings and our room were only deserving of a 4 ("very good") rating. But some of the staff were so, so lovely and genuine and helpful that we ended up having a lovely time which deserved the...

Went with friends for New Year. Room good, if a little cold. Bathroom new, but freezing cold floor. Towel rail, not by basin and one tiny shelf over the lavatory. No tooth glass and no tissues! Staff very charming. Reception smelt strongly of chips on arrival. Subsequently, a plate of chips was being eaten by receptionist! Not good! Log containers...

The hotel is very easy to get to and close to good road networks but is still in a quiet rural location with some lovely views. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Hotel reopened in July 2016 and was presumably restyled/decorated at that time so everything is up together. Decor was lovely and suited the hotel. Bedroom was huge with...

Lovely location, excellent food. The manager couldn't be more helpful. We booked a Sunday night and hadn't eaten (service lunchtime only on a Sunday). He served soup and steak. excellently cooked even though he was the only staff on duty. He never looked flustered and everyone got attended to with calm efficiency. Breakfast was excellent. Will definitely be back.

We arrived on Saturday around 14.00 - we were greeted by Kate, who showed us around and gave us all the information we needed. She is very knowledgeable, professional and above all, human with a great sense of humour. The room was absolutely fine for us - the bed extremely comfortable, and the shower was both hot and powerful. We...

My partner and I stayed at the hotel via a Groupon deal. The perfect romantic break located in the idellic countryside of Herefordshire. When we stayed we were greeted by lovely staff, and had a tour around the manor by a lovely gentleman. We stayed in one of the old stables suites with a bath in the room. The room...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on a 'Groupon Deal' which included A Four Poster Bedroom, 2 Course Dinner each, a Glass of Prosecco and Breakfast plus late checkout. We were very pleased with our room (2) and the dinner had a very interesting and varied menu. The food was great and the staff catered for dietary requirements....

We booked here after wishing to stay somewhere special for our wedding anniversary. We had booked a package that included a Prosecco afternoon tea. We decided to take this shortly after arrival, and sat alone in the drawing room to enjoy this. The experience itself was lovely; the sandwiches were a little dry and felt as of they had been...

We stayed through a Groupon deal and as we had enjoyed a stay at the Brooks House in Bath, we were keen to give it a go. It is a beautiful house in a gorgeous setting and our four poster room was comfortable and large. The staff were all friendly and helpful. When we arrived there was no hot water...
