A 30 odd km from Muri station, located right in front of the Muruguma lake, this place offers an experience of staying very close and Intune with the nature. The location is quite remote, no access to any bazaar or shops nearby, not even a village within a range of 1km, only a couple of other resorts around. No television, not much of a mobile network.....but that's how it is supposed to be when you plan to break away from the daily grind. The property is very tastefully designed with only a few huts/cottages.....there is a separate property with tents, but the entrance is separate and a bit away from this one. We were put up in two 3 bedded rooms, Ukamburu and Shukraburu....the rooms are designed to give a feel of earthen huts, though they had all the modern amenities that the city folks are accustomed to. The amenities are basic, but functional and adequate, rooms and bathrooms are clean and well kept. The staff here are very warm, genial and pleasant, always ready to help with a smile. Food is also pretty decent, you have to place your order in advance though, since the place is remote. Meals are not inclusive in the room tariffs, there are various types of meal plans available. Strongly recommend this property if you wish to experience nature and happen to plan a holiday in Ajodhya Pahar, Purulia.

The overall experience is excellent. Food, behaviour of the staff , rooms and the surrounding area, cleanliness and above all the security of the resort was all perfect for a nice 3 day trip. Moreover the dam is very near to the resort, only a 10 minutes walk .

My wife and I wanted to visit a place that lies in the lap of nature, away from the busy city life and Bon Palashi was just the place. Points that I would like to highlight: 1. The place is located just a 2 minutes walk away from the Muruguma Dam. 2. Rooms are quite spacious and clean. 3. The staff is very friendly and courteous. 4. The food prepared was absolutely delicious (Veg and Non-Veg Both). The quantity of the food provided was also very generous. Most of the time we overfilled ourselves. 5. The place is surrounded by nature and beauty. I just stayed for 1 night but the experience was extremely delightful. I am grateful to the staff as they took very good care of us. I would definitely recommend this place. And I am surely going to visit soon. Thank you,

My travel buddy (my mother) and I wanted to spent a weekend in lap of nature, away from pollution, noise and tension. Bon Polashi eco resort offered us just what we wanted more importantly what we needed – three days of refreshment. The resort is just right in the lap of nature, spacious clean rooms, and fresh local food. Location of the resort is just perfect for pleasant evening/morning walk/cycling upto murguma dam. (5mins walk/2mins cycling). A part of the dam is right in front of the resort, one can enjoy the view from the entrance of the resort too. Hills, Dam, mesmerising sunset from ukkamburu- a hilltop nearly 360deg View, good servic, friendly caring staffs and fresh foods makes Bon Polashi the perfect short weekend tour destination. Looking for to visit again, this time just after monsoon.

We are currently staying at Hut no. 2, 3, and 5 for three days starting from today. So far the experience is mixed, let's explain why. What went well! 1. The place is superb, if your objective is to spend time amidst nature, you are at the right place 2. Staffs are really courteous and down to earth, very simple people with uncomplicated approach 3. Rooms are excellent, spacious and toilets are neat and clean 4. Overall, the cleanliness of the property is excellent 5. So far, we had lunch today, and the food is quite decent, just like home cooked meal Improvement areas 1. Common sense - we requested for bonfire and bamboo chicken for both the evenings. We are a group of 4 adults and 1 child, hence we ordered 1.5 kg of chicken. We were suggested by the property staff with utmost confidence that, 1 kilogram would suffice, which we disagreed. Still they went ahead and arranged for 1 kg only, which was insufficient for us. 2. Inconsistent messaging - The email confirmation says that, Bonpolashi isn't a resort - however the relevant website clearly mentions and calls it a resort! Which version should we belive as guests and adjust our expectations accordingly? 3. Kitchen timing - The kitchen is closed before 9 pm, however the staffs were staying in the property itself, at least this is the case in accordance to the response given to us upon asking. This is pretty inconvenient for us who do not usually finish dinner by then! 4. Maintenance - some of the windows and locks are broken, which cause unnecessary confusion; moreover, there was no water bottle in the room when we arrived. A property, charging this much, should be in a position to offer at least one 1 litre bottle of mineral water as complementary

Dear Mr.Kalyan, Thanks for your detailed review with rating and we find you have found some glitch in our service. First of all we would like to bring to your notice, that you are right on terms of our website which we have overlooked one part says it was Resort, we have corrected that part and again would like to reiterate the same it is an Eco Hut not a Resort. Now, let us take your suggestions and grievances one at a time. 1. Regarding Bar-BQ, it was your specific instruction on mail to us which reads as follows: "And this is to keep you informed beforehand, we would prefer bonfire, bamboo chicken and Barbeque, one kg chicken for each; possibly for both the evenings. Otherwise we do not have any special dietary request as such". On receiving this mail we forwarded you our Resort Manager number and asked you to discuss with him. Now as per your mail you have asked for 1KG only on each day, now if you have mentioned differently to our managers and he didn't do that, definitely we take it as our fault. But from the mail we found you only ordered for 1KG only. 2. It was a mistake by our web developer in a single instance in our website and we also overlooked that, thanks to bring that upto us and we have corrected the same you can check. The name clearly says "Bon Polashi Eco Hut". 3. Kitchen timings mentioned were rightly told, as all our Guests need to be served in the morning also, so all our staff need to conclude by 10PM and sleep over. And the timing for Dinners were already given on mail as 9-10PM, whereas the food delivery need to be within that time. We do understand that some of you might not have food so early, but we have to go through the service level in all aspects. And sir, you very well know we are not a Star Category Hotel/ Resort where Service can be given 24/7 to all our Guests. And it is winter and the cold is extreme, still our people try to cope up with all such requests and we have no such reports of not delivering after 10PM recently. 4. Regarding maintenance we do apologise for the broken things as it is peak season and our markets are more than 20kms from our eco hut for those and people repairing those are not available in between. Still we are trying to resolve the issue soon. Regarding Mineral Water we have a different opinion and due to strong request by the major percentage of Guest, they all want to consume local drinking water which helps in digestion and it is very much natural and filtered, so we prefer not giving Packed Bottles to our Guest. Still if you need Packed Bottles please do order them as we don't have complimentary Packed Bottles. We do understand you have faced few valid issues which we will definitely try to improve, the rest we request to understand that we are running with Village Tribal Communities and everything might not be perfect but still we are trying to come up to everyone's expectation and then only we have won Trip Advisor's Traveller's Choice Award for consecutive 2 years, still we always take all such suggestions very cautiously and try to improve everyday. Thanks Tirthankar & Sutapa Team Bon Polashi Eco Hut

This was my first trip to Purulia - the Land of Mountains with my family, friends and their families this Christmas. We had to make our visit - a memorable one. Based on the traveller reviews posted on various platforms, we chose Bon Polashi Eco Hut located in Murguma. We were mesmerized by the breathtaking beauty of Murguma which makes it a hidden gem of Purulia. Coming to the resort - we were given a warm welcome by Daman Da - the Resort Manager and the resort staff with a refreshing Nimbu Pani. The always smiling staff members - Krishna Da and Biren Da who made our stay so much comfortable. The resort provides options of Eco Huts and tents. We went for the Eco Huts. Quite spacious and clean rooms with good facilities like Geyser, Electric Kettle which are much needed during Winter. Hygiene is well maintained. Each Eco Hut comes with a Khatiya which is something unique. Resort Ambience is definitely a high point / USP along with location.Beauty during and night is something which is beyond words ane can only be experienced. Food was very tasty - be it lunch, dinner or breakfast. In fact - the evening snacks consisting of Muri, Chanachur, Aloo Bhaja, Gobi and Chicken pakoras are just unforgettable. Traditional Chhau and Tribal dance programmes were organized by the resort at evening time which added to the overall ambience. We have thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our 2 night stay. 100 out of 100 to Bon Polashi Eco Hut in all departments. Kudos to Sutapa Ma'am - the resort owner and the entire team for such a memorable and overwhelming experience.. Keep up the great work and smile..Thank you so much to all of you. Highly recommend Bon Polashi Eco Hut - Murguma to all Purulia travellers.

Bon Polashi Eco Hut, located near the Murguma Dam is an ideal retreat for those with discerning tastes. The rooms are well appointed and the tents are luxurious. The local staff is friendly and takes a lot of pride in looking after guests. However, the best part is the food. We were a group of 19 people who stayed for 3 nights/4 days. All of us came back happy and loaded with lots of memories. Thank you Bon Polashi. Keep up the good work of propagating responsible tourism.
