Beautiful views, even on a rainy and foggy day. Room was small but comfortable enough, although I'm not sure it was worth the price. Wi-Fi was spotty and did not work consistently. Restaurant food and wine from the store were very expensive ($34 for the cheapest bottle of wine!). Store and restaurant close at 8PM, so you're own your own... More

We have all heard stories of driving the Big Sur. My mother made the trip with her parents in the 1930's. My parents made a similar trip in the 1970's. And now we took the same trip 50 years later. Not a whole lot has changed. The drive along the scenic highway. Stops at rustic places like Lucia Lodge are... More

I stayed here on my birthday with my boyfriend and it was the most beautiful and relaxing cottage ever! The room was clean and they were very accommodating. It's far from regular city life but still close enough if you forget to bring something. I would come back for another visit any time!

Wonderful place! Lovely view while you enjoyed your meal. The bleu cheese burger was so juicy and delicious!! We liked the place very much. The waitstaff was pleasant! I would love to go back, such a lovely spot.

So I will start off with the con of our trip-We booked cabin 8 months in advance only to open the door to find someone else's suitcases in our cabin! So we had to trek back to the check in and tell them and it turns out our cabin was given to someone else and so they gave us cabin... More

What can I say? I proposed to my (now) wife overlooking the Pacific at Lucia Lodge. Fortunately she said yes. We had the Honeymoon Cabin at the end (Cabin 10) which has the best view. We loved it. The food was pretty good too.

We booked room 4 which was described as partial ocean view and when we arrived we were so disappointed to find out that there was NO ocean view because the property in front had been extended at least 2 years ago. however, their website hadn't been changed to reflect this. 2 days before we arrived, we received an email telling... So this hotel is on the Pacific road which is an amazing road! Such beautiful views and things to see. This hotel was in a great location you can't deny that.. They are pretty good at giving you all the information you need before you arrive. Check in was ok, it was in the shop which is very busy and... More

The historic feel of this small property is wonderful, but I had the wrong impression on booking the "honeymoon cottage" perched at the very end of the Ocean View (most expensive) units. I assumed since it was at the END of the row with the best view ever, it would be more private. Yes, it has a great view but... More

Great place for a mid way break on highway 1. Very comfortable bed but the bathroom is compact to say the least. Restaurant is hold and breakfast is complimentary. No coffee or tea facility in room but it is free at the shop . No tv either...free WiFi but no cell phone coverage. But overpriced too.
