Rooms are correct and casual, but not very clean and extremely thiny walls, you hear your neighbors.... Rooms have great views! Price is a bit too expensive for the value, and the guy at reception not the friendliest we met during our Californian trip

We stopped here on our way down highway 1. Had not booked but it was not a problem getting a room. We stayed in room A right above the store. The guy in the reception/store was not very service minded, and forgot to give me extra bedding for our daughter. The room was nice and big, clean, and with a...

The place is located really nice. But the price of the cottage and the service makes the place with just a bitter aftertaste. The guy at the reception hopefully had a really bad day, but was without any dobt the worst serviceminded person we got so far during our two weeks on hiway 1 up from Seattle. Cold rooms an...

If you drive up the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway, you may eventually decide you want something to eat. There's a dearth of the familiar American chains, so it's pot luck where you stop. We chose the whale watchers cafe at Gorda more because we didn't want to go any further without refreshment, than anything else. It's a busy site with...

We found this place late after driving from Frisco. We were amazed no tv no clock no fridge or microwave nor air-conditioning. The little man at the restaurant was very nice and the view as gorgeous but highly over priced.

Looks very charming from the street, however closer inspection (AFTER paying $150US) reveals a bedspread (probably purchased at Walmart in the 90's) with multiple rips and tears, a shower head that released very little water, a hair dryer (purchased at the same Walmart, same year) that's power button could only be found INSIDE the dryer, along with the electrical wires....

Because we ran out of daylight and were tired, we ended up having to stay in Gorda Springs. The motel was right along the highway. Would not recommend this to anyone. We got a room for $167 with no free breakfast, no fridge, no microwave, no television, no wifi service, no working jets in the bathtub, no hair dryer, but...

Not sure if 1 star is to high Don't stay here if you want a quiet room. The walls are so thin you can hear the neighbours breathing, the rooms have no phone no tv no internet no mobile phone reception no water pressure no aircon no windows that open no comfy beds and the front desks tells you there's...

We had not realised it was Labor Day weekend and needed to book 3 nights in the Big Sur. I literally tried every other place and this was the only place with availability as you can only book on the morning of your arrival. As mentioned by other reviewers, it is quite far south, so cannot really be considered 'Big...
