First, this was for tent camping. Had reserved a site in advance, midweek, during fall break for my daughters. Arrived mid afternoon. When checking in, the representative said the campsites were almost all available. When I asked which one he'd recommend, it was like pulling teeth to get him to say this one or that one. He knows the campground,...

Had a river front site that was beautiful. The water and electrical hookups were nearly 30 apart. No real designation as to where your site begins and ends. $20 to dump is a little ridiculous. The restrooms and laundry were clean. The pay showers were large and clean. We ate at the restaurant associated with this campground twice. The food...

I received the worst service today. I do not recommend this place AT ALL!!!!! I walked in to have dinner, the food quality was ok but customer service is the WORST!!!! After finishing my dinner i got up and asked one of the male hosts if i could order a pepperoni pizza to go.. he didn't even acknowledge me, he...

Right on PCH. Pub and restaurant nearby. Clean and friendly staff. Looks a little dated from the outside, I would however call it authentic. Prices are reasonable for the area, big old Redwoods and a nice gas heater in the room.

We had the Adventure Tent #1 There are 3 of these that are set off from the others. They share their own private bathroom / showers that require a key that the other tent renters do not have. We parked right in front of our tent area. . Our tent had a heater!!!! electricity and lights. Since it was mid...

Cottages are what you would expect in a "camping town". Not a luxury, full service city hotel but it serves the purpose...clean place to eat, clean & sleep. Thouroughly enjoyed our dinner at the adjacent grill...VERY good food...nice camp store for snacks & "provisions". Excellent locations to Big Sur Parks. No AC though.

Like most hotels in this area the only way to book a reservation is by phone number. We parked right in front of our cabin. Clean and cozy room. Hot water & heating. We didn't know what to expect but ended up loving it.

We stayed at the motel, that is right along side of the road. We knew that we would not have cell phone service, but was surprised to see the little sign of the wall that in case of an emergency to use the pay phone down at the end of the parking lot. When we made our reservations, we were...

Attended a wedding at Big Sur River Lodge and selected Fernwood Resort to stay after the wedding and reception. On the plus side it was close-by. On the negative side, the motel (?) rooms are tiny and I realize that they are selling "Rustic" but one has to draw a line! Price not commensurate with what is being offered I...

Stayed in cabin 30 towards the back corner of the property, surrounded by redwood trees. Was able to fit my family of 5 with no problems. Kitchen was workable though bathroom could use a little updating. Can't beat the location; follow the trail a couple hundred yards right into the park with short drives to a couple beaches, the lighthouse,...
