We've stayed at this hotel twice and were happy with the consistency of the friendly helpful staff as well as the cleanliness of the hotel. Well located with a private courtyard it provides a quiet space to escape to. They even provide beach towels !

We enjoy the town of Puerto Morelos, a quaint village in the plethora of Grand Resorts on the Riviera Maya. We arrived late into Cancun and needed a one night stay before checking into our resort. We chose Posada el Moro due to the comments on Trip Advisor. Our checkin was laborious, we did arrive late and it took a... More

we turned up and paid 650 a night including breakfast, nice big clean room, friendly owner and staff, nice close location to main square and beach. Looked at a couple of other places, this shone out. Great last couple of nights, great snorkeling on beach.. Has wifi too..which is important to some people..

We don't always make reservations. We happened upon el Moro, was shown a room for just $60 a night and signed on. The pool was refreshing, the room was clean, and the hotel staff were helpful and friendly. It is located in a great spot, just half a block from the zocalo. Reading reviews of this hotel, and being familiar... More

Had a good stay here at the end of our Mexico holiday - very handy for airport since we had a car. Nice small pool, nice rooms - well decorated, spacious, and good modern air con which was not noisy (unlike many other hotels we stayed in). Very friendly staff as well.

Charly, the young guy at the reception, was very nice and helped me a lot to make the best of my time in lovely Puerto Morelos. For example he gave the very good tip to go to Crococún Zoo, which really is a fanastic (and unusual :) ) experience. Thanks again Charly! The owner Miguel was also very helpful. My... More

Delightful hotel in Puerto Morelos. Near the ocean, near food. A quiet little town outside the hustle and bustle of industrialized tourism that blights such a beautiful coast. Well maintained, economical. Can't go wrong.

Nice family-run hotel that feels ‘authentic’. Great location right near the main square and beach. The room we were shown to on the 1st floor felt rather ‘exposed’ in the sense that there were sliding glass doors and no safe. The air conditioning unit was very noisy too. I had e-mailed the hotel a few days prior to arrival to... More
