What a place. Instantly made to feel at home, I was shown around the facilities and given an option of a few rooms as it was quite windy. It has a great backpacker vibe to the place, with a communal kitchen and fridge and lots of things you can help yourself to which has been left behind by other guests....

this is not a 5 star swim up bar kind of place. It is like a hunting or fishing lodge type of accommodation. Right on the ocean and the most peaceful place. The rooms have optional swing {hammock like but great mattresses} Try it before you put it back to normal on the floor! The hosts Valente and Hilda are...

Rancho Sak-Ol is a great place, we happened to have the junior suite which has an amazing queen size bed and a lovely view. The whole place has a very relaxing Mexican feel to it and it is very well managed. Breakfast is lovely with fresh orange juice!

Rancho Sak-Ol is a great place if you're looking to stay on the beach, want some quiet relaxing beach time, get away from the Cancun/Playa crowds, and aren't fussy. This is not a luxury resort, but the rooms are clean with some decorative charm, and you walk directly from the beach into your room. The owners were very welcoming when...

Pros: Cute, quiet little getaway located on the beach. Hammocks out back of each room. Free bicycles and 5-10 minute ride to the Plaza for food and drinks (check tire pressure and chain is oiled; brakes may not work). Mueseli with fresh cut fruit, bread, and coffee for breakfast. Cool little bar up top. Has internet. Staff replaced shower head...

Very nice people and place! We stayed 2 nights on a ground floor room. Way over priced if you book through expedia so just contact them directly!!!! Easy to find location. Honestly its so hot and humid that a second floor room would have melted us! Swinging bed was super nice n good stiff matress was perfect for us. Bathroom...

I stayed at Rancho Sakol for two days while I was waiting to fly out of Cancun. Having spent time in Playa del Carmen and Tulum (and wanting to avoid the frat boy scene in Cancun), I was looking for a peaceful little hideaway at the beach - Rancho Sakol was perfect!! The property is tucked away, about 5 minutes...

I was impressed by the customer service that this place has, the owners are amazing. The kitchen has everything that you need, you can borrow bicycles and the rooms are super cute. It has a lounge area with chairs and sand.

The best part of this experience was getting into the single beds on our room that were hung with rope. They moved and one felt like you were still in the water of the Caribbean. It was wonderful and very mesmerizing. Nice air con also in the bedroom. Great shower and water tank in the room. Easy check in also....
