Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Dreams Natura Resort & Spa offers a dynamic experience, with its vibrant entertainment and music scene receiving mixed reviews—some revel in the liveliness, while others are put off by the noise, which extends from loud music to construction disturbances. The resort's cleanliness, particularly the pools and beach, is generally applauded, although room upkeep sometimes falls short. Family-friendly amenities like water slides and a kids' club are a hit, but the limited availability of pool chairs and the modest beach are drawbacks.
While room conditions vary, with issues in maintenance and noise, the service staff often earns praise for their dedication and helpfulness. Opinions on the location are split, with the proximity to the airport seen as convenient by some, yet others are disappointed by the limited beach and distance from tourist attractions. In terms of value, several guests feel the resort's costs outweigh the benefits, highlighting expensive extras and variable pricing.

Dreams Natura Was highly anticipated since it was a brand new resort in the greater Porta morales area. Had been to other a.m. resorts including now sapphire now jade twice and dreams Riviera Cancun we really liked all the properties we had visited so we could not wait to go to the new dreams .This property is just the right size if you don’t want to amble through a mega resort no golf carts needed here and I think it offers some thing for everyone large family area large kids area with waterslides and a lazy river as well as a family pool and of course a much sought after swim up Bar in the adult pool. Water temperatures in all pools was just perfect for mid October it never ever felt cold even though we did encounter a few stray rain showers. The bar men Did an exceptional job and all top shelf liquor was readily available at all times even to the point if you had asked a particular Liquor it would miraculously appear the next day and moreover they mentioned that they had it. Our man Jorge did a great job making us drinks all day long and if you asked for a double you got it . Room accommodations were exceptional we were lucky enough to get a preferred swim out room right across from the adult pool and it was a pleasure to sit on our patio and occasionally take a dip in the swimming pool anytime you felt like it morning noon or night. Never a shortage of towels nor lounges at all the pools again that’s because of the limited occupancy rate and the ongoing Covid issues the staff was always masked up including housekeeping servers waiters and waitresses. They have an excellent program in place so really once you’re there at the resort you can put your fears aside due to the pandemic. Food at all the restaurants was very good particular the French restaurant Bordeaux the Italian restaurant Portofino the Bluewater Grill and of course the world class buffet where it was not a buffet in the traditional sense as all dishes and entrées were partitioned behind glass and the serving staff got what you had requested you never touched a spoon or serving dish . Management and staff have to be congratulated since it’s very hard for them to operate in these unprecedented times they were always helpful and Pleasant at all times shout out to the housekeeping staff also for a great jobThank you Patricia also a shout out for Alenaro in the French restaurant Jenner in the world class buffet and it’s Estepanie at the front desk and because nothings perfect in life did have an issue that was handled promptly in A timely way. Or original room was a preferred Junior suite oceanview the room itself was great nice view of the whole resort but unfortunately air conditioning was not the best the front desk was very accommodating, thank you Jorge. Moved to a preferred swim out suite that was exceptional. Service was superior the food was good for the amount of restaurants that were opened. Value for the dollar spent was very very good

I must say the Spa was the highlight of my trip! It's just as magnificent in person as in the photos. The service in the Spa was exceptional, I think the only door I opened there was to the toilet when I had to use the bathroom. They even turned our shower on for the rinse before getting in the pools.
We upgraded to an oceanfront room when we checked in and we were very close to the beach entrance and adults only pool. The room was very clean and our balcony was spacious and had a jacuzzi tub on it. Our toiletries came in a sealed plastic gift bag and the remote even had protective plastic. I loved the rain shower however I think there needs to be a slope in the floor of the shower because it's flat right now and water leaks under the shower door into the bathroom. The bed was a little too hard for my taste.
The property and restaurants were very clean. You could always see staff cleaning and there was hand sanitizer everywhere. Due to COVID the restaurants that were open rotated and sometimes it was confusing figuring out what was open. This is why I was glad we upgraded to the Preferred Club because they always had snacks in there. I was just disappointed we didn't get to try the seafood restaurant for dinner but the food at all the restaurants were very good. The buffet selection is not as big as what I'm used to but I'm sure that is due to lower occupancy because of COVID. There was only one time during our stay that the service in the buffet restaurant was a little slow and that's probably because there were more guest than staff at that particular time.
Pools and jacuzzi very clean and the waterslides are as fun for adults as they are for kids. The beach had seaweed but you always saw workers cleaning the beaches from the washed up seaweed. There was good wait service at the pools, jacuzzi and beach. There is also a beach bar with swings that was nice to hang out at.
The only other suggestion I can really make to the resort is for a specialty drink menu. The bartenders would make whatever you wanted but I don't really drink very much. So it would be fun to pick something off the menu since I'm not sure of all the options.

We took our family of 11 - kids ages 13, 10, 4, 18 months and 7 adults in 4 rooms. Our rooms were cared for meticulously. Loved the turn down service and chocolates on our pillow. Loved the expresso machine, robes, slippers and so many thoughtful amenities (toothpaste, sunscreen lotion, everything you could think of) in our room. We ate every meal together and every restaurant was amazing. Waiters are so well trained and so friendly and so hard working! They would have to take care of 11 people who each ordered appetizers, salads, soups, entrees and dessert plus drinks and they always did well!
There is so much to do there, no one was ever bored. We LOVED the lazy river! Instead of floating down in tubes we would swim or run, sometimes with the current and sometimes against! So much fun! The water slides are the best design we have ever experienced; so smooth and so long! The climbing wall with auto belay is excellent; challenging enough for anyone. The sky roller is incredible; the closest thing to flying you can get! The baby pool is huge and perfect for younger kids. Some of our group played beach volleyball and had great competitive games. We loved long walks on the beach and playing paddleball along the water with the surf lapping our feet. We went on a snorkel trip; they picked us up right at the hotel and took us out to the reef; a 10 minute ride. Snorkeling is great; there is an incredible variety of colorful coral and fish and was a highlight of the trip.
EVERY employee ALWAYS wears a mask the entire time; even the guy raking seaweed on the beach with no one around for hundreds of feet! They wear their marks properly, we never saw a single employees nose, mouth or chin anywhere! Again, the employees go above and beyond to serve everyone. Abril was always there to bring us anything we wanted at the pool. I was holding a sleeping baby in the lobby and Lizbeth saw I was trying to keep her warm from the breeze and made a special trip to get a big warm beach towel. We took the grandkids to dinner at the Mexican restaurant so their parents could go to the adults only French restaurant and Rodrigo made it so special for them. He brought extra chocolate cakes (after they gobbled up the tres leches cake) and did an amazing fire show for them. Everyone loved the Coco Cafe. The servers made reindeer and Christmas trees design in the lattes. We loved the gelatos, pastries, sandwiches and fruit available any times. The fruit tarts, chocolate croissants and flan were favorites. The guys by the pool making wood fired pizzas, quesadillas and tacos to order are also amazing and accommodating. My daughter ordered a pizza with peppers, chicken, pineapple, guac and pico! It was an absolutely wonderful week. Thank you Dreams Natura!

PROS: room was large, very clean and comfortable. WiFi eas como and strong dignal throughout the property. Citlali (hostess), Gener (server at Oceana) and Carmen (server at lobby bar) are great employees. We were able to stay on property passed check out, out of our room but we used the facilities. Housekeeping requests are fulfilled promptly.
CONS: face masks are not enforced and therefore guests walk all over without a mask. Trays of Room Service orders lay on hallways floors for over 24 hrs before pick up. I asked for cream for my coffee at breakfast and was told there was none available, only cold milk. I asked for a well done burger at Oceana, twice they brought a medium cooked one with half a slice of cheap American cheese and the second one had what looked like a bite on the cheese (see photo). At breakfast buffet, not all stations were served/assisted by employee so if I wanted fruit, I had to touch utensils shared by all (see photo), other items too. There is only one attendant at the coffee shop, so the line to get coffee are always long. Guacamole is nor from fresh avocados, but the puree that comes frozen. Guacamole in Mexico is expected to be fresh every time. Mini Bar was not replenished until we called. A glass in the room still had sticky residue from price tag (see photo).

We recently returned from a family trip to Dreams Natura. The thing that stood out to us was the staff! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Even gardening staff would tell you Good Morning as you walked by. The staff make guests feel at home and welcome. That being said some staff that stuck out to us were Michelle (yoga instructor), Ramiro (waiter at Oceana), and Josue (Himitsu Tepanyaki chef). Michelle was an amazing yoga and fitness instructor for both beginners and experienced participants. She was encouraging and kind and we will all miss her classes. Ramiro was a fantastic waiter! He was very attentive and before you could ask for something would be on top of it getting a refill or whatever else was needed! Josue was a fun and energetic Tepanyaki chef! We had the best fried rice and hibachi food! If you go to Dreams i would highly recommend the Tapanyaki tables at Himitsu (my apologies as i am positive i am not spelling it right.... essentially hibachi). We loved sitting on the beach as there were plenty of chairs available and there are workers constantly ensuring the beach is not full of seaweed. The sand is lovely, however due to the nearby mangroves the water is not the clearest. That being said the pools around this resort are phenomenal. We enjoyed the water slides and lazy river. Our favorite food was lunch at either Oceana or BlueWater Grill. Oceana's fish tacos were fabulous and we ate them daily. Dinner was hit or miss, our favorites were Portfino, Himitsu, Bluewater Grill. Least favorites included Oceana, Patio, and Bordeaux. The Coco Cafe had amazing desserts and great ice cream options.
One thing that could be improved upon is to use the SunDial more or have a better way of communicating with guests what restaurants and activities are open and happening each day. At all previous resorts the SunDial has been our go to for all this information, however at this Dreams we only found a SunDial 1x and had trouble figuring out what was open and when. There are apps that list activities and restaurant openings, however we found these to be inaccurate and difficult to utilize.
Overall: It is a beautiful resort with great options for kids, families, and adults.

We recently traveled to Dreams Natura with 5 families during our kid’s mid-winter break. I knew it was a bad sign from the beginning when 2 days before our trip, it took me 7 phone calls to upgrade our room and they tried to charge me more than what was stated on their website. I finally got someone at their call center to book the upgrade for the right price and assure me that I could have the first-floor suite I was requesting. Sure enough, upon arrival, the suite I requested was “unavailable.” I was absolutely livid, after spending so much time on the phone to find out we couldn’t have the room we were promised. Not only that, but both the preferred club concierge and reservation manager Clara were extremely rude and offered us nothing to compensate for their mistake. In fact, they flat out refused to admit they made a mistake. To add insult to injury, our friends went on a vacation club tour the next day to find out, they were using the room we requested as a showroom! Two days later, we also find out that they gave a local vendor the room as a free upgrade! In addition, the hot tub on our deck never worked. We had “engineers” working on it 3 days in a row only to break again.
The employees at the resort are doing the best they can, but we were told 50% of the staff was laid off a year ago due to COVID and were never brought back. The resort is at more than 50% capacity, no matter what they tell you when you book. You can expect 2 hour waits to eat at any of the restaurants and at least that for room service. The quality of the food is hit or miss, overall, not that good! Also, only 2-3 restaurants are open a night because they don’t have enough staff. The poolside service is only as good as your server. Marina and Blanca were the best! The drinks are watered down, not terrific, but better than some of the meals I had while there. (Tip – if you like straws with your drinks, pack your own, there are NO straws, not even paper ones on the resort.) Also, all the resort credits they promise are capped. For example, if you get $200 worth of resort credits, you can only use $40 per person at the spa, it’s very misleading.
I will say the resort is kept clean and the size of the property, the pools and the water slides kept our kids busy. We were lucky to have great weather and good company since we were with a group of friends. However, I would never go back to a resort that misleads and flat out lies to its customers. We already had the stress of traveling outside of the US during COVID and instead of being able to enjoy and relax, we were treated to terrible food and service. If you want to vacation in Cancun, I am sure there are much better places to go!

We already had the stress of traveling outside of the US during COVID and instead of being able to enjoy and relax, we were treated to terrible food and service. If you want to vacation in Cancun, I am sure there are much better places to go!

Dear gardynik, We thank you for taking the time to share your comments on Tripadvisor. It was a pleasure being your host during your recent gateway. We totally understand your feelings since this miscommunication occurred during your stay. Please allow me to explain, you requested our presidential suite and we blocked it for you, you probably didn't know that we have 2 presidential suites one on the ground floor and the other on the 8th floor. the one on the ground floor wasn't available for all the period of your stay end that is why we used it for a different purpose. please receive our deepest apology if there was a misunderstanding on our end, which is not a brand standard in any way. we have shared your feedback with our management team and departments involved to ensure that never occurs again. Our best regards! Arturo Alcalá Social Media Manager.

Room: Junior Suite Ocean View
The good: We could not believe how quickly the staff cleaned up the resort and the beach from Hurricane Delta. The pool area and beach are gorgeous. Our room was very comfortable. I love the two sinks, comfy bed, nice sitting area and balcony. We had a little seaweed during our visit, but the team did a great job clearing it.
I loved all the octopus dishes on the Oceana menu. The green salad, empanada, nachos, steak sandwich, flank steak, and ceviche at Blue water Grill.
The Coco Cafe staff did a great job making delicious coffee each morning.
The staff is terrific. Josie and Alejandro at the adults only pool were wonderful. They really made our trip and made us feel special. The hostess Mitzuno was so friendly and helpful.
The Splash Park and water slides were open. The spa is incredible..
Needs improvement - I understand the resort won't have all the restaurants open each day due to the restrictions on occupancy. However, it was very difficult to figure out what options were available because the schedule posted in the lobby was wrong 2 out of the 3 days of our stay.
It is also very disappointing they are not prioritizing or utilizing outdoor dining. We only eat outdoors due to COVID. The first night the Market Cafe was open with the Bordeaux menu, but they didn't open their outdoor dining section. The other open restaurant was El Patio which does not have outdoor dining.
The second night Portofino was open. They have an outdoor dining section that was not open so we ate at Bluewater Grill.
The third night the options were Bordeaux and El Patio - no outdoor dining. So we had "dinner" at 4 pm off the Bluewater lunch menu to avoid having room service again.
Obviously, I don't know all the requirements, but if World Cafe, Portofino, and Bluewater Grill all.hsve outdoor seating, it seems like one of these could be an option each evening so guest could enjoy the ocean breezes, great views of the resort, and a safer dining experience.
Overall, I definitely recommend this resort.

My family and I very much enjoyed our 5 night stay at Dreams Natura! The staff was phenomenal and so very accommodating. Everywhere you looked there was always someone cleaning, there were sanitization stations and signs posted to wear a mask if in a common area.
Even though only a few of the restaurants were open at a time and there was not much night life after 11pm, my family and I understood due to the COVID restrictions. We still had a wonderful time just relaxing. The staff also did their best to keep us all entertained in the lobby or in the sports bar/club with a few activities, and dances.
The views were absolutely beautiful and the beach was always spotless. Our travel agent had made us aware of the Sargassum seaweed issues that occurs during that time of year, however there was a crew out there everyday cleaning up as much of the seaweed as they could so that we had a clear pathway to the beach.
The rooms were always kept very clean. We had a Preferred club junior suite with a jacuzzi on the balcony. The only thing I did not like was the bug problem (knats/mospquitos). We had a collection of them in the corner of our balcony but I attributed that to having a jacuzzi on the balcony. Most definitely was not the staffs issue.
Our favorite part of the trip was going down to visit the AMAZING staff at the Barracuda beach bar and Bar Manatee swim up bar in the adult pool. Josue, Alejandro and Javier were FANTASTIC! They were always smiling, always greeting us and made our stay very enjoyable. The beach staff serving us was also very attentive and accommodating. They made an effort to remember our names and make sure we were taken care of all day! Special shout out to the bar manager, Juan Carlos and Supervisor Samuel. They all worked so very hard to keep us and the rest of the guests happy.

Our family of 4- 2 adults and 2 teens stayed at this resort in January of 2021. This is a beautiful resort packed with great restaurants, pools and amenities. We were a little hesitant to travel during Covid but the safety precautions that were in place by the resort made us instantly comfortable. From sanitizing our bags and taking our temps upon arrival, every employee was masked at all times and there were hand sanitizing stations everywhere throughout the resort. The resort was also not very busy as they are restricted on capacity so there was always open chairs by the pool and availability at the restaurants. They socially distanced seating at restaurants and if you wanted a more secluded table they quickly accommodated. Many guests wore masks while in the interior spaces and waited for elevators. Also, with the open concept of this resort you felt really safe. Overall the food and service were exceptional and I highly recommend this resort.

+1
Stayed with family and got overwhelmed by the greatness and beauty of this fun resort! Junior suite ocean view all inclusive booked and gotten a week of grandiose food at breakfast buffet and in many specialty restaurants (all you can imagine) and bars (international drinks). Many pools incl. adults only, lazy river, water slides, hang glider and climbing wall and lots of activities Like aqua fitness and beach volleyball, fun games and yoga. Room is spacious, clean and has a Nespresso machine and a mini fridge with daily refill. Of course a bathrobe and amenities are there too. High speed internet is available anywhere in the hotel and we only needed one sign on for the whole week.
Hygiene is of high importance (public space is disinfected regularly and your baggage when you arrive and eG restaurants work with menus via QR code on your own mobile).
Staff all around the resort is very friendly and helpful, especially the bar tenders and the whole animation team will get you smiling. Thanks to Alexandro, Lorena, Jose and Giorgina for all your positivity and energy!!!
Located only 20 min drive from Cancun airport it’s located in the middle of a mangrove eco park (yes, there are a few mosquitoes) - therefore the sea water is not turquoise but the beach is clean and has white fine sand… The outstanding pool sites make good for the missing perfect ocean views.
We’re definitely coming back!!!
Thanks for an unforgettable family vacay!
