All excellent, from booking via the phone to the warm welcome on arrival. Great value room, perfectly clean, good selection of drinks and biscuits in the room. Shower and bath! Food, beer, wine and service all first class! I'd certainly recommend it!

Clean, warm room. Very enthusiastic staff made guests feel extremely welcome. Comfortable bed and an excellent hearty breakfast. Nice location if rather quiet, but good for walkers and close to Kirkby Stephen.

Nice pub accommodation, pleasant helpful staff. Would have been even better if the pub would have been open at lunchtime. Had to drive into Kirkby Stephen to find somewhere for lunch. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice.

Proper 'old school' inn. Very friendly and welcoming staff, roaring fire, good no-nonsense food cooked well, good beer and a very comfortable room. The perfect place to stay. I have to write a minimum of 200 words according to trip advisor so there they are.

We stayed at the Nateby Inn for 4 nights, a nice little pub in a small village in walking distance of Kirkby Stephen. A welcoming open fire in the bar at night, with real ale, good food and lovel staff, our room was comfortable and would definitely stay again.

A one night stay on our way to Scotland for Xmas - only a short detour off the A66. Much friendlier and interesting than a hotel chain. Hannah the manager went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Cosy log fire burning. Delicious home-cooked food. Locals playing dominos in the bar. Beautiful drive over the Fells on the...
