Have stayed here three times in the last few years as part of a mountain biking tour, and this time Elaine was as as hospitable as ever - this must be the most welcoming b n b in Britain! Nothing is too much trouble, and a hearty evening meal can be provided if that suits. Fab!

Spent another few days at Hall Close - up to the usual very high standards. Excellent breakfasts, comfortable beds and nice clean room. Well done, Elaine Dinsdale. Looking forward to returning there next month. To expand on the "Hotel Style" section below - this is NOT a hotel, it is a classic Guest House B&B. The ratings below relate to...

Hall close was nearby and the room I got was lovely. It was exceptionally clean, lovely décor, fantastic modern en-suite bathroom, comfy bed, a...

Very friendly and clean B&B just outside Kirkby Stephen. Great location, getting to wake up to the sounds of the countryside. The owners really make you feel at home, with a great breakfast in the morning to set you up for the day. Would definitely recommend.
