Homfortable Loshgyani, an experiential stay, is a beautiful creation. It integrates rustic mountain charm and a modern and luxurious vibe with much subtlety. The living spaces have been restored to their present charm with much thoughtfulness. The estate is surrounded by a 360-degree view of dense Oak and Deodar forest, sparsely situated fields, fruit orchards, and a 180-degree snow-capped Himalayan view on clear sky days. This 2-acre estate is majestically positioned on a tabletop around 10 kms away from Mukteshwar. It is a perfect destination for slow and leisure travel. This boutique and intimate six-room property has a magical and mystical vibe due to its location and view. The location makes the property ideal not only for an offbeat getaway but also for meditation, yoga and wellness retreats. The living spaces are a beautiful integration of modern and traditional, providing a sustainable living. The cottages have been thoughtfully built using sourced materials, like stones and mud, by local artisans primarily using the traditional art form of mitti-chinai (mud joints). The main rooms at the property give phenomenal views right from the room. Step out onto its patio to get a broader look at peaks like Kedarnath, Trishul, Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, Panchachuli, Chaukhamba, Hathi Parvath to name a few. The Himalayan range visible from the property starts at Garhwal Himalayas to Nepal Himalayas - a beautiful 180-degree surreal view. The food experience is very differentiated at Homfortable Loshgyani, with multi-course and multi-cuisine meals on offer. The high point of the property is a one-room independent heritage cottage that has been painstakingly restored to its current charm and glory by Kumaoni masons and artisans. Walk into Althea, as it is called, and feel the authentic Kumaoni vibe at its best. A large two floor large dining and lounge on the estate is a beautiful and plush common living space open only to our resident guests. The lounge gives beautiful views from its first floor open deck and is the highest vantage point on the property. In a very short while of its launch, Homfortable Loshgyani is winning the hearts of its guests with not just its views, room and bed comfort, sumptuous food and aesthetics, but also due to its attention to detail coupled with professionalism and personalised attention through its services.

If you are looking for a place to escape the city and truly relax amongst nature, Homfortable is for you!
It is a luxurious yet rooted in nature experience.
The hosts are very welcoming and hospitality is brilliant, we also got to have some interesting conversations.
The hosts are more than accommodating, rooms are super comfortable and clean, breathtaking views and home made finger licking food(one of the most amazing desserts I have had)
It is also a pet friendly property and your pets would love it here with a huge open area for them to sniff and walk around.
They also provide dog meals.
Driver accommodation with food is provided in the property but always better to inform in advance.
Would definitely recommend this one!
Pro tip - This is a homestay and is at a very beautiful remote location, while the hosts are extremely helpful and resourceful, kindly have some important supplies that you definitely need on you for it to be easy for you as well as the hosting team.

I am not the one to write reviews but this vacation and experience of the property forces me to. First things first! The property impresses with its views. I am an avid traveller but have never seen such all round views in the region as Homfortable Loshgyani offers. Its unique as it is situated on a mountain top and so offers beautiful 360 degree views and 180 degree Himalayan snow range views. No pictures of the place can capture this in its truest sense!

Coming to food, room interiors, linen, toiletries, cleanliness, hygiene, running hot water in washrooms, heating of indoor spaces (since I visited in a very cold November), highly professional services, treks, politeness, humility and caring attitude of the staff. The list goes on and on and Homfortable did not slip or disappoint at any level during my stay. The team is in particular stellar!

Traveling with kids for a holiday to such remote location is never easy but Homfortable made it so easy. The stellar management of the property and everything being taken care of with clockwork precision and timeliness makes the experience a breeze specially with young kids.

You rarely see this level of professionalism in a property where owners are not staying themselves. But Homfortable and its founders - Swati and Navneet - seem to manage this effortlessly. Very impressed with the vision and looking forward to more Homfortable experiences!

Some Tips: They do not provide dental kits so please carry your own. They don’t encourage changing of bedsheets and towels unless necessary and lets all as travellers support in these and other noble sustainability efforts.

Wow! This was different. I am confused where to start and what to focus on.

FOOD was the high point for me as I am a big foodie. I have never had such fresh and delicious food ever and it made my trip.

The beauty of this place is mesmerising. It reminded me of the movie Kunfu Panda as were lucky to witness Peach Blossom season. Landscape was filled with pink, white, green and blue colours with backdrop of Himalayas. Fruit orchards, tree line of deodar, oak and pine and the flowing breeze makes the place calming and soulful.

Service was top notch but what made it impressive was execution in such remote location and with limited resources.

Rooms and living spaces were cozy comfortable and beautifully done up in a minimalist of manner.
Living in conncrete jungle this is what an escape looks like which I was secretly wishing for.

Barbeque candle light setup to celebrate my daughters birthday was the perfect setup I could have asked for.

Local Kumaoni high tea experience was nostalgic and took me back to my roots for while.

Lastly, I was worried that my 2 year old kid will make this a ‘Saja’ rather than ‘Maja’ 🙈. But she was at ease mostly and it allowed us to truly relax.

This is definitely a rare find in such seclusion. Highly recommended if you are looking for an escape into the nature or a mountain holiday or traveling to Nainital/Mukteshwar region. All in all it was an escape I was secretly wishing for!

We stayed at Homfortable for 3 nights. We had travelled as a family , 2 kids, my mother and our dog. Getting there took us some time as the roads were crowded getting into the hills at this time of year. But on reaching we were pleasantly surprised.

Homfortable is a boutique property. We had booked Althea and Cyfrin. Both room were tastefully done up and I found the beds particularly comfortable. Staying at the newly done up old Kumaoni cottage was an experience that we truly enjoyed. We can see the care and eye for detail that Swati has taken in everything she has touched.

The food was wholesome and yummy. We had taken the all meal plan and felt a little overwhelmed with the quantity of food that we had to consume. So if you are not big eaters you may want to rethink this. But having said that we thoroughly enjoyed the fair. Gaurav the chef has a wonderful take on everything.

Our dog was well taken care of and really enjoyed the nature trails that we went on for the time that we were there and she especially loved the food that was served to her. So much so she didn’t eat her food when we came back to Gurgaon.

Swati is an exceptional host and we can tell she has taken great care to choose and train her staff who are polite and cheerful. The work they have put in to this property and the passion they have for it can be clearly seen.

Thank you for a wonderful experience.

No doubt that the place is at a very mesmerising location and well kept. The decor is beautiful and gives a proper feel of a cozy getaway from your busy schedule but at the same time this is one place where I have seen that food will not be served in the room , we were with a small pet of ours and he fell sick due to the temp drop and we had to request the owner to kindly serve us the dinner in the room despite which she allowed but only after a lot and lot of consideration and showed to us that she bending the rules for us which she would never do otherwise, they had charged us for breakfast lunch and dinner and even after knowing that me and my pet both are sick nobody bothered to ask us for breakfast although we paid for it because they were expecting us to walk to the restaurant in that condition for the meal. And also to be clear I had walked i absolutely fine to that place but after the snacks and dinner we ordered I fell extremely sick. Pucked the entire night and remained sick for 48hrs and all we get was medicine that too we had to ask and breakfast was very conveniently not given to us. The first thing expected in a hotel or home stay or resort is taking care of your guest that’s how they will refer or come back. Also the owners are very possessive about the interior of the rooms that they wont allow food in the room but one can have snacks that too if ordered by 3 pm. Pet is allowed but pet’s hair is found on any article they will charge u 2000 bugs per article then why allow pets. And this is after they have their own pet there. Rooms are not well heated. Water is not hot enough. We enjoyed the view and the place but owners and food and hospitality not so much

Hi Tanvi and Sahil, We are glad that you did find some things about the property worth the visit and most importantly we are certainly glad that you have written this review, since it now gives us a platform to share our thoughts to some very pertinent points with respect to hospitality focused on Experiential Stays. Check-in: 5th January 2022, Scheduled Check-in time- 1 PM || Actual Check-in time - 3:30 PM Check-out: 6th January 2022, Scheduled Check-out time- 11 AM || Actual Check-out time – 1:30 PM There are always two ways to address a review – One is to just acknowledge a review with a very diplomatic response and other is to make a meaningful dialogue through such platforms to enhance traveler experiences. Hospitality in a New Age business with a differentiated concept is a two way process and we expect our guests support to be able to give them differentiated Experiences. Again, as we always say to our guests, ‘Difficult road leads to beautiful destinations’, mesmerizing locations will always be secluded and need humungous effort to keep the show running. We are a Forest Retreat situated in the middle of nowhere! So we need for our guests’ support to follow our House Rules and Policies, in order to keep the show running and provide all the resident guests, experience they came for. Every business has its own policies and we as an Experiential Stay have these too. We are in the business of selling experiences and not just rooms with food and the entire system works to ensure just that. 1) Our product and services are not designed to serve meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) in rooms. Policy pertaining to this was clearly communicated even before check-in. Our entire menu is tailor made to make dining a differentiated experience. 2) Serving of a portion or two of snacks is very different than serving a 10 item - 3 course dinner with curries, soups, indigenous deserts etc that too when it was raining heavily. Neither our operations nor our rooms are designed to provide in-room dining. 3) An All Meal Plan (sit-in dining, not in-room dining) was opted for instead of Room with breakfast, in such case meals come as bundled item along with room and there isn’t any breakup for this. In such scenarios, whether a guest chose to skip or have a particular meal is their own individual choice, and doesn’t account for neither additional charges nor refunds. 4) Irrespective of the policy, irrespective of the considerations and deliberations, irrespective of reasons for the ask of serving dinner in room, it was indeed served in the room, in order to accommodate. Even though check-in was way beyond lunch time, it was served hot, and late lunch was accommodated. 5) With respect to breakfast, it was ready, time for serving was asked for and desire to not have breakfast was communicated by you. We did what we could and couldn’t really have forced to eat when not hungry, and certainly if dinner was served in the room, breakfast could have been, so not sure why such assumption was made. 6) One has a choice either to have ‘on demand pre-cooked refrigerated food’ or to have wait for freshly sourced and freshly cooked food. We only serve freshly cooked food, source fresh supplies and that too in a secluded location and thus the policy of letting us know in advance. Irrespective of the policy, when the snacks were ordered late, at 6:45 PM, request was accommodated, so wondering where request was not accommodated. 7) It is indeed unfortunate that you fell sick that evening and it compromised your experience with us. But at the same time your comment on our food quality is a tall claim to make without evidence. We take huge pride in the quality of food we prepare. Without accepting or shifting the blame it is worth mentioning that (A) Meals had at Homfortable Loshgyani were not your first and the only meals, that you had during the day of check-in or on your 5 day trip. Infact, this was your last stop and meals at other places were done before checkin-in at Homfortable Loshgyani. (B) Meals you had here were eaten by 7 other adults and a 12 year old kid, and they are fine till now. (C) Stomach infection can take 12-72 hours for symptoms to appear after the contact. (D) Hard liquor, which was consumed, depending on quantity and body tolerance, may result in vomiting and upset stomach. (E) Sudden drop in temperatures, coupled with multiple meals, in a short period of time (Lunch at 3:30, snacks at 7:30 and dinner at a time unknown to us which may have resulted in cold food coupled with cold weather) can result in indigestion. Nevertheless, the moment it was informed to us and staff next morning, we provided medicines immediately and provided whatever was asked for. Obviously, we can’t assume ourselves that one is not well, it needs to be communicated. 8) While making reservation, a late check out was requested, without additional charges, which was denied as all the rooms are different from each other and are sold individually, on OTAs and offline. Check-in time is 1 PM and check-out time is 11 AM. Post checkout it takes a lot of time to get the rooms properly cleaned, sanitized and prepare for next check-ins. Nevertheless, given you were not well, we didn’t ask you about your plans till 1 PM, which is when you informed you will be checking out. We are not sure how hosts didn’t accommodate you here. 9) Pets are not allowed on couches and beds and dry-cleaning charges are applied to ensure the place stays well-kept and hygienic! It is also a courtesy not just to your hosts but also to the next guest to not allow your pet on couches. Being pet friendly doesn’t mean pets are to be allowed to jump around on couches and beds! We never said a word, when you were allowing your pet to keep his muddy paw on the dining table with table cloth on and eat food from the table. We were very accommodating to small things . Moreover, it would be really helpful for us and our future guests if you can point us to the policy where it states that “Even if a hair is found on the couch or bed, dry-cleaning charges will be applied” . We would humbly request you to be sensitive to the hosts and new businesses and avoid unnecessary exaggerations. Yes, our pet is on the property but never found on a couch or bed. 10) We have very good water heating systems and have been designed and installed after giving in a lot of thought to guest comfort along with remaining energy efficient and sustainable. With weather vagaries at extreme sub-zero temperatures, we are learning that our systems have limitations and are not performing to the level of efficiency as expected and we have no qualms in accepting this feedback on hot water. For this reason the systems are being currently upgraded further for enhanced hot water experience and we are cognizant of this. Nevertheless, as we were aware of the fact that water may not be boiling/burning hot, given the extreme conditions, we checked it for you and you found it comfortable enough. 11) Yes, it does get cold in the Himalayan region in peak winters (in the first week Jan for you) and its typically snowfall time here. When one decides, to come at such a time, they must be knowing what weather they can expect. Every room of ours has heaters and you had one too. You were even given an additional heater just for your pet! You were given double comforters (we have high quality Down Feather 350 GSM comforters for winters) and hot water bags, to keep you bed warm. There are very good quality and high end kettles in each room. We have everything, one can do to keep someone warm short of being centrally heated. And we went the extra mile just for you with all measures possible! 12) The hosts drove you and your car up to the property since you were nervous about driving through last 500 meter of forest road, even though that’s not an obligation of a host. Requests from you which were not accommodated by the hosts. 1) It was requested to include next day lunch, post checkout time, included in the package, at no additional cost, which was denied. 2) While on the way to Homfortable Loshgyani, around 2:30 PM, it was requested by you that lunch for that day be cancelled and compensated with free lunch for next afternoon. This was again denied, obviously as the lunch was prepared, and cannot be thrown and also cannot be served next day (we serve only fresh food). 3) Now that the lunch was not cancelled, you requested it to be kept in the room, which was denied as that is not our product and policy. Nevertheless, lunch was served way beyond lunch timings without creating any fuss. We always have and will always go the extra mile to provide our guests with the best Hospitality possible and be as accommodating as possible beyond our rules and policies and provide flexibility, but we also certainly expect graciousness and adherence to the house rules from our guests since this brand of Hospitality with the expected level of services in such pristine and secluded locations can only be a two way process. Last but not the least, we truly believe in Homfortable as a concept and are staying true to its spirit. And it is very unfortunate that one is being dismissive of the product and service on offer without actually experiencing it the way it is meant to be. With regards, Team Homfortable

We were a group of four senior citizens who chose to make HC our home for 2 nights and 3 days..HC is neither a hotel nor a homestay. It is a private property extremely well maintained and it seemed all the while we were being pampered by a bunch of eight extremely competent and well trained staff. Kudos to each one of them for their attention to all our needs. Never in my years of passionate travel to far off destinations I have found such warmth and caring attitude of the support staff. The rooms are a delight with wonderful views of snow capped mountain peaks and period furniture. Gives you a rustic ambience which was appreciated by all of us. The dining hall decor is impeccable reminding me of such a homestay in remote Iceland . The food was extraordinary in terms of taste and service. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay close to heaven..

Surrounded by nature, the place is beautifully located with views of the snow peaks of the Himalayas. The hosts – Navneet and Swati ensured that we were well taken care of and all needs attended to. The staff too were very helpful and efficient. Rooms are comfortable , with heating and large windows looking out onto the gardens with flowers blooming and tall trees. Bathrooms had running hot water and toiletries provided. Linen was fresh and clean.
Food was excellent and we were served some great local dishes.
The place is spread over a large area with ample open spaces and wooden benches and tables to sit in the sun.
Would certainly be back for another vacation.

This was the best decision I made during my super random trip to Uttarakhand with my mom and my wife. A stay at the Homfortable is a truly bespoke experience like no other.

Host
Swati is an exceptional host and made our whole experience WOW. She sometimes took feedback without us even saying it out loud, which was sort of different level and we loved it.

Room
The rooms are beautiful and have been designed amazingly well to the very last detail to make your experience as authentic as possible and yet super comfortable.

Food
The food at there is so good that you wouldn’t want to miss it even if you are full from previous meal. My advise, let them decide the menu completely and just relax and enjoy.

Location
The location of the property is beautiful, it’s on a plateau which gives you beautiful 360 degree views of the valleys and mountains around.

Doggo
Their doggo, Charles was an add on. He will never let you get bored or get lost. If he is walking with you, you can take any trek around you like and he will bring you back.

Library
It was the highlight of our stay post food. We spent most time there, it was so damn peaceful - the forest on one side and the mountain on other. They have decent book collection and we definitely found something we liked.

Activities
They have barbecue, bonfire, etc.
We requested for barbecue and it was beautiful. They surrounded the place with lanterns decorated it so well.

Overall, this experience was beyond our expectations and way more. Thanks Swati once again for such beautiful stay.

I recently visited the serene and picturesque Homfortable Loshgyani in Uttarakhand with my family. What an unforgettable experience it was!! No amount of words can do justice to the kind of heaven it is...

The half km trek to the resort from the point where our cab left was adventurous & was full of pine & deodar trees. Nestled amidst dense forest this homestay of just 6 rooms  provides a blissful retreat where we immersed  ourselves in the tranquility of the Himalayas.

The rooms were pristine & built in kumaoni style, while washroom was quite artistic. The steel bucket  with lota was highlight which reminded me of my childhood days.

The food served here was scrumptious & Divine. Each meal prepared by chef Gaurav was a culinary journey, highlighting not just local flavors and traditional dishes but whatever we wished for.

The services provided by the entire team was exceptional. The staff, Ajeet, Santosh, Suresh, Bhupesh went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.

Whether it was guided nature walks, exploring nearby villages & apple orchards, simply basking in the serenity of the surroundings, or gazing into miraculous & beautiful night sky there was much for a mystical person like me

Our special thanks to founders Mr Naveneet & Ms Swati for providing us with an extraordinary experience. This homestay is truly a hidden gem, a sanctuary of peace and natural beauty.

Homofortable lives upto it's name!!!
This place is picturesque and secluded , away from the hustle and bustle! The only thing you get to hear is the sound of birds and experience the magic of the wind.
The place was much more beautiful than our expectations. The owners Swati and Navneet are so warm and loving. They have put in their heart and soul in creating this beautiful property.

Everything is amazing, be it the subtle decor, courteous and helpful staff, sumptuous food or the friendly dogs Simba and Charles.

The place is surrounded by fruit orchards and we experienced plucking and eating the fruits (peaches, apricots, plums and apples) directly from the trees. Who gets to do that in a city???

The food served here is well planned by the hosts, the menu is wisely decided by the hosts. The presentation of the food is no less than a five star. The whole experience of having the delicious food looking at the deodar trees from the dining hall makes it extra special. One should not miss the desserts served here. They are just exceptional.

We stayed both at Althea cottage and the stone cottage room and the experience at both the rooms was an amazing. We could gaze at the full moon from the glass roof of Althea cottage and wake up with the sound of birds. At the stone cottage, the view of the mountains and the sunrise was breathtaking.

We also went for daily walks to the orchards, temple and Hartola forest trek and believe me, one feels so content absorbing the beauty of nature.

Would highly recommend this place to everyone visiting Uttarakhand!
Looking forward to go back again!!!!!
