We stayed at this British era estate last year. It was indeed a memorable stay. One can enjoy nature at it's best while lazying on the cottage balcony or taking a morning stroll in the meandering paths of the tea estate. The Property Manager Mrs Radhika is an excellent host and helped us with suitable suggestions about some of the local places which we visited during our stay.

We had an awesome experience. The food (all meals) are simple yet tasty. The rooms and views are great! There are lots of things to do just inside the resort (walking around, watching the insects & birds, playing indoor & outdoor games). The staff is very helpful!

What an absolute gem of a property! We were a group of 10, visiting Sinna Dorai for just a night (didn't get bookings for 2 nights), and had the best time possible. Extremely picturesque, impeccably maintained, courteous staff, option of just lazing around or plenty of activities makes this a totally worthwhile destination to visit. We did the picnic to a nearby lagoon and the sunset trip to the view point and would highly recommend them both. The property in itself is beautiful, with lovely views and stunning artefacts from a bygone era. The gardens and rooms are meticulously maintained and I'd actually struggle to find any fault with the property. Take a bow, Radhika and team. You're doing a brilliant job!

A hidden gem I must say. We booked at Sinna Dorai based on a friend’s suggestion and must say we were pleasantly surprised. The bungalow is nestled amidst a sprawling 7,500 acre tea estate. The surroundings are pristine, the sunset and picnic spot were amazing. The rooms are extremely well maintained and can be compared to any 5 star property. The Manager, Ms. Rachika was very approachable and ensured we were comfortable. The food was amazing and the staff went out of the way to ensure vegetarian options were aplenty, as we had requested. A great vacation overall. Thank you Sinnadorai

We stayed in the main bunglow which was really nice . Large room clean bathrooms, nice varanda with magnificiant views . Don't miss the walk to the view point in the evening. The views are magnificent . I missed the morning walk but we spotted many birds near the property itself . I can't think of any negetives to be honest . The price may be slightly high but I would recommend to save that money and make the trip !

Better late than never, we went there (as a large group) Aug 2021 and had a fantastic time, except for the rains. But rains added to the beauty of this place and made it enjoyable, if you can put up the leaches. Awesome location and views. Hospitality was simple awesome - very friendly manager and their staff, took care of our needs. Food was awesome and was prepared according to our needs. Estate has a lot of hiking trails that you explore on your own. Over all a fantastic stay and will go again in the future. Rooms (bath, bed, pillows, toiletries) were top notch.

Loved the place, we stayed here for 2 nights beautiful and serene place. Rooms are spacious and well equippied. Food was very good both veg and non veg, the Pineapple curry I had was the best I have had. the staff is very good. Rashmika the property manager handled our queries very well and helped us in many things. Go here for a peaceful weekend getaway to forget evrything and enkoy. you do have very limited mobile network. They do have very good library board games and tennis court must do things : ask for the morning trek, jeep ride and picnic all three are unique experinance

“Dream Discover Travel” ... Pictures from a weekend trip with my besties to @Sinnadorai bungalow at Kadamane near Sakleshpur. The vast expanse of the property, acres of tea plantations, the lovely weather, breathtaking scenery, lip smacking food and a very comfortable stay ! What makes it really top notch apart from all that I have listed out above is the hospitality .. Radhika is a lovely hostess and her team is very hospitable. The kind hearted chefs made us the most delicious specialities and with a smile. Sinnadorai is much more than a homestay and not as commercial as a resort .. what sets them apart is their attention to details. Do not miss the jeep trips to 5 Acres viewpoint, tea factory and Duraigundi picnic spots. Lots of place to walk or jog around the property. We took 4 rooms ( planters wing, twin room Cottage, single br cottage) - each of them unique and presented lovely views of the tea estate

The Journey: Took us 3 and a half hours to cover a little more than 130 Kms up the hills to the property. The road was narrow and we had to negotiate many a sharp bend to reach the resort in an "Etios". The scenic beauty on either side of the road was breathtaking after we crossed Mangalore . The journey was chequered with bungalows which appeared on almost regular intervals . A sneak peak of the Netravathi river is also possible after 2 hours from Mangalore. Its resembled a lake in the beginning later however its flow through the rocks of the ghats resembled more of a mountain stream. The Resort: A dreamy place perched on a hilltop With British Bungalow type architecture. It oversees, myriad tea gardens all around bordered by the adjacent ranges on three sides . On one side on can witness the smoke rising from the indigenous tea garden 1.5 kms away. On tge left of the lobby is the tennis and Basketball court. The Rooms: Large, well maintained , dimly lit to suit the surroundings, with wooden floors covered with strips of carpets appropriately. The restrooms are adequately lit with sufficient ventilation and geysers which worked all through the day . The view from the room was breathtaking. One can see the rays of the sun peering through the clouds sliding along the mountain ranges displaying all possible shades of green creating a visual magic which can be very rarely witnessed elsewhere. The early mornings and sunset time seemed magical with the colors of the sky and the terrain complementing in an aesthetic symbiosis. The weather: We were accosted with occasional and light showers during our visit consisting of 3 days that we stayed at the facility. The temperature ranged from 19 to 26 degrees Celsius this time of the year . There is provision for umbrellas to traverse the porches and gardens of the resort if any one so chose to go to the restaurant , the lobby , the game rooms consisting of a billiard board, carrom board etc. A drawing room with cosy sitting arrangements by the side of the fireplace made a great venue to narrate the spooky tales of the past over a cup of hot coffee or tea . For the more media freaks it also had a television with satellite TV connection. The Food: A simple yet salubrious buffet comprising of 8 to 10 items were served for all major meals. The taste of the Special dishes like biryani and pulao were really distinctive and pampered our taste buds unexpectedly in this remote corner of the ghats. Service and hospitality: The service ethos if this apparently nondescript location was a revelation and can be a case study for the service industry. Radhika Cariappa who manages the property seemed to be leading from the front in marshaling all her resources to gift the guests an experience to cherish life long. They were ready to pamper us with almost every possible requests we made from providing us with a spare phone as our fell phone network was no available to make special arrangements for food as we desired. She had arranged for sight seeing and a visit to the tea factory as well. To top it all she bade us farewell with packets of tea as mementos . Thank you Radhika keep up your good work!!!!
