I was looking for stay options in Sakleshpur and the name Sinna Dorai popped up which made me to complete the booking without a second thought as I had already stayed in their Valparai property 2 years back where the experience was amazing and top notch. The booking process was also so smooth and welcoming as I received a mail and a call immediately from the team for understanding our food preferences and to guide on our stay and the routes.

Now coming to the property which as we see in the pics is a heritage Bungalow and a few independent cottages nestled in between the lush green tea gardens which is a rare sight in Karnataka as its always known for their Coffee plantations. I had stayed in the main Bungalow rooms in their Valparai property, hence decided to go with the single bed room cottage this time and that was the best decision. The cottage was so simple and elegant with a separate bed & living space with interiors so tastefully done to match their heritage Bungalow feel and a sit out from where you can enjoy the nature at its best.

Talking about the activities which we tried were mainly a jeep ride to the picnic spot and the sunset view point which were like 20 mins ride from the Bungalow and all these places were situated within Kadamane estate. There was a natural stream and a pond like formation inside the jungle with the water so cold and clear and where you can even dive from a small bamboo kind of bridge and the feel this places gives is something like when you get lost is a deep jungle with the sunlight hardly entering from the gaps between the tall trees and that experience cannot be expressed in words. After that we visited the sunset view point which should not be missed at any cost and the tea was served here for enjoying the mesmerising view. Another main attraction is that all these places are free from any littering or plastic waste and you can enjoy the nature without any hustle or bustle. Now coming to the weather, the pleasant and joyful day was followed by a rainy and chilly night which further elevated the experience.

Thanks to the entire team of Sinnadorai Kadamane for the magical experience and the best hospitality.
Sinnadorai Bungalows never disappoints and exceeds the expectation of anyone who is looking for a stay for enjoying the nature at its best with all the luxury. Cheers to Murugappa group for maintaining the benchmarks and looking forward for more stays!!!

Tea estates in general are beautiful because the bushes have a table top like structure that when seen from far lends the landscape a splendid symmetry. Also, there is an unmistakable colonial feel to the bungalows that take you back to an era gone by.

Kadamane in particular is unique because its in a region that is more known for its coffee estates. Also, it is in the middle of wilderness & the stories associated with the region further accentuate an edginess the whole area exudes. The bungalow has huge rooms with minimal but classy furniture & i just loved the flooring in the dining room. There is a very cute little water stream that kids would love to splash in! The hostess is very courteous & we enjoyed interacting with her.

Th reason why i take that last star away is 1) for the staff, some of whom are downright rude, 2) for some evident cost cutting, like missing toiletries in the bathroom ( they do not have soap, forget about a dental / shaving kit ) & 3) because there was no attempt to take any feedback at the time we left.

Every part of Kadamane is so 'roomy' that the phrase - there is always room for improvement applies here more than anywhere else!

What an absolute gem of a property! We were a group of 10, visiting Sinna Dorai for just a night (didn't get bookings for 2 nights), and had the best time possible.
Extremely picturesque, impeccably maintained, courteous staff, option of just lazing around or plenty of activities makes this a totally worthwhile destination to visit.

We did the picnic to a nearby lagoon and the sunset trip to the view point and would highly recommend them both.

The property in itself is beautiful, with lovely views and stunning artefacts from a bygone era. The gardens and rooms are meticulously maintained and I'd actually struggle to find any fault with the property.

Take a bow, Radhika and team. You're doing a brilliant job!

One of the most relaxing vacations ever! Rains turned everything magical. Beautiful estate, very clean, comfortable rooms (and bathrooms), tasty home made food and polite staff. If you are someone who likes quiet and can maintain silence (this place deserves it) then look no further. Take your books, headphones (and playlist) and just soak in nature. And walk. Walk to your heart's content. Radhika and team, good job!

This was our third visit and I'm sure not the last one ! I visited with my 80years old father, husband and twin daughters. This place always welcomed us with lots of love and warmth. It's hard to believe that one can find a complete new world so near to Bangalore. Radhika and her team make sure that every individual is taken care of well. Their kindness and care make this place feeling like home.
We visited this place during different seasons and I cannot really tell which one is the best! Every season has its own charm. In monsoon, we enjoyed watching rain while having tea with pakoras. Winter was mysterious, covered with thick fog. Summer offered a range of activities from long walks in the estate , trekking , picnic by the stream. Another very important point I would like to mention is the security. I can let my daughters play around the property without worrying about them. This is how safe we always felt here.

I cannot thank enough for all the tasty food. They even entertained our request to make specific dishes which we liked during our previous stay! I don't know of many places which offers this kind of hospitality. Thank you Sinna Dorai for being so kind and making our stay memorable ❤️

Went with my family including my parents who are senior citizens. We had a great experience. The property is amazing, the rooms were excellent. We also enjoyed the food - very close to home cooked food. A special word for the staff - who were very supportive and took extra effort to meet our requirements. I would definitely go again when possible. Highly recommended for those who are looking to disconnect from their regular life.

A hidden gem I must say. We booked at Sinna Dorai based on a friend’s suggestion and must say we were pleasantly surprised. The bungalow is nestled amidst a sprawling 7,500 acre tea estate. The surroundings are pristine, the sunset and picnic spot were amazing. The rooms are extremely well maintained and can be compared to any 5 star property. The Manager, Ms. Rachika was very approachable and ensured we were comfortable. The food was amazing and the staff went out of the way to ensure vegetarian options were aplenty, as we had requested. A great vacation overall. Thank you Sinnadorai

Sinnadorai-Kadamanne (Sakleshpur, tea estate) is at 4 hrs. drive from Bangalore and is a hidden gem!! Spread across a few thousand acres, one gets plenty of greenery around, walking paths, water streams, and hill viewpoints. The food & staff are excellent. Rooms are large with all modern amenities and the common room has games for children and a library. Do check out picture book on Chettiar recent history. Thank you, Radhika, for taking care of all the requests (excursions, food) that we had during our stay.

A must visit place if you love nature..

From sakleshpura town, this place is a good 30 to 45 minutes drive through a small ghat road with almost no one you will come across. The roads are just ok. Follow the location in Google maps and you will find this place. Once you reach the tea estate gate, inform the security and the gate will be opened for you to enter.

The bungalow is set on top of a small hillock within the tea estate with the entire place surrounded by tea plantation. The place has one main bungalow and three to four independent houses. We were a group of 10 and hence we chose the main bungalow. If you are a small group you can opt for the other individual houses. Food is served in the main bungalow. There is a common TV in the living room.

Rooms are awesome and the view from the bungalow is all the more out of the world. You get pretty good service from the staff who manage this place. Food quality and taste is good. You can order additional dishes in advance apart from what is available in the buffet.

We were there during rainy season and hence could not do much except have some good fun indoors with our gang. There are couple of beautiful picnic spots that you can visit when you go there when there are no rains. There are couple of view points to which you can go. You can walk through the estate roads for a nice Pleasant experience.

Except Airtel and BSNL, no other telecom networks work.

Overall a great place to stay just in the middle of nature..

We took our time to make bookings and were lucky to find accommodation - in retrospect, it was a great decision that we took. Though Google Map works to provide directions and Airtel mobile signal is available, it is an opportunity to just switch off everything and sit out in the verandah with the balmy sun overhead and catch up on reading during the day - the books related to the locale kindly provided in each room make very interesting reading. For early morning and late evening, there are the wonderful treks that are relatively easy and help you discover the flora (not much fauna though). The picnic lunch at the waterbody deep in the jungle gives you an opportunity to play in the water and/ or jump from rock to rock towards upstream. The walk through the garden and the colony/ factory is pleasant but for the dust due to the roadwork. The food is mild and mostly vegetarian (Indian) but the desserts are "pucca" British in keeping with the traditions. On the whole, great on the 3 A's - ambience, activities and the alimentary aspects!

Hi Arun. How was the road? Is it affected by recent flood and heavy rain?
Answer from Arunkumar Gp

The road is good for the most part but there are patches of bad roads. 2-3 sections as you near the estate are highly uneven and a low ground clearance vehicle cannot avoid getting hit on the underside. Total length of bad patch is less than a km though. Also few kms before the sinna dorai bungalow, there is a gated entrance for kadamane estate. It may be closed so you will have to ask the guard to open it saying you are headed to the bungalow.

The approach road is ok.. if I am not wrong the road is good at certain spots and occasionally there are mud roads-so bumpy..if raining then expect slushy roads too..hmmm baby?? Its not really risky..slow drive will take you safely..
