We stayed at T&D for two days during the first of Nov ’18 with a group of 6 families that includes a few kids all less than 5 years old. It’s a place where you see green all around and deep away from the urban area. You need to off road about 4 KMs which is not really bad unless it is raining and if you have a good ground clearance car. We had three i20 Elite and 1 Honda City that we drive all the way down until the resort without any troubles. They will also offer a pickup and drop if needed. We stayed there for two overnights and can give an average rating based on our experience.

Pros-

The location: Wonderful view around and close to nature. The place is deep inside a forest and you can see only the greenery, hills all around.
Staffs: Everyone out there is really friendly and helpful. The folks in the kitchen are very nice and ready to accommodate any special request like hot water, kids food etc.
Off-Road trip: This is the best part here and we had a magnificent real off-road experience. It is a MUST try if you visit T&D.
Morning trucking: We couldn’t go for trucking since it was told leaches are there on the way. Since we have kids less than 2-year-old, we gave up. Otherwise, it is a must try here.

Cons –

The food: The quality and choices of food are very poor. You must need to improve a lot in the quality of food that you serve. The veg folks in our group were really disappointed and left with no option other than having a bit of rice with curd. Nonveg dry items were too salty. It was all tasted like someone trying to learn cooking in your kitchen. You really need to appoint a good chef!
Kids play area: We felt that the place is not that welcoming for kids less than 5 years old. There is a trampoline for younger kids other than that you see NOTHING!
Swimming Pool: They call it as a natural pool but we felt it was just an artificial pool without a proper maintenance. The water was contaminated and no one was got into the pool during our stay.
Rooms hygiene: The bedrooms are good and spacious enough, however, the bathroom hygiene should improve a lot to feel good for a family especially with kids. The bath towels were too old and need better attention to it. Recommend to bring your own!
4x4 jeep for an off-road drive: We got a really bad open jeep for our off-road. It was supposed to be a closed 4x4 jeep but they arranged an open jeep for us and it was difficult to manage with kids. We had to separate the kids and ladies to another jeep to accommodate only gents to open jeep. Do confirm your jeep availability in advance.

In a nutshell – (based on our own experience ) It is not worth what we paid. It is undoubtedly the best place for bachelors, groups of couples but not so good for family with kids especially less than 5 years old. They should give more importance to the quality and choice of food, a neat and good pool area, and a little more attention to having safe kids play area. I would be happy to go back here but not until my kid turns 5!

Stayed overnight. Can be rated as Good but certainly not great when compared to other stays in the vicinity. The Best part is the location ,but taste of food served nor the menu there is nothing to write about.Rooms though are OK but could have been planned a little bigger. But certainly needs a frequent cleaning. Bed was comfortable but we were given single beds, which was not informed to us while booking. Staff is supportive.Open cupboard is another minus point considering we cannot avoid lizards or spiders completely.
Found lizard on our kit and bag and the window screens .But as we are the ones who had invaded their place ,cannot complain. The best way to keep off lizards is not to keep any bags or kits near the wall. The management seems to have tried their best to shut all the openings to keep off the lizards or insects from entering the room so there is lack of proper ventilation in the room. The rooms do have a large window, but as all of them open directly to the outside view they lack privacy and need to keep it closed. The bath room does have a small garden ,this does add some uniqueness to it.
A major draw back is that there is no portico if you want to sit and relax outside the room.
It is a rough drive for the last 6-7 kms.So better take a car having decent road clearance and drive slow.Definitely avoid driving on this mud track during monsoons. However resort does offer a safe parking space just before the start of mud track if one does not want to drive their car.The resort will arrange to be pick and drop from here if needed.
The resort also arranges for an adventure drive on a 4x4 on chargable basis.
The other best part of the stay is the morning trek. The views and the morning fresh air is worth a million.Just don't miss it.There is also a small water fall for those who don't want to go on a trek. The resort has its own hydro electric power generation plant .So this is certainly a eco friendly resort, but did feel bad when we had to waste a lot of water before we got hot water for our bath.
Cannot say whether the kids will enjoy the stay here ,though there are few indoor games.A natural water pond is under construction, which may well be an option for the kids to play.

It was a perfect getaway for a 3-day weekend. Rooms were neat, ample open space with lot of greenery and pet animals and birds. Food was OK. Staffs were courteous.
Only issue was the last 6-7 kms road (if you call it a road). If you're not a good driver or have a small car, it may be difficult to drive on that. It's more like a bad off-roading experience.
Nevertheless a great start.
