- Amazing food - The location of the homestay is perfect. It feels like living amidst the mountains. Abbe falls is just 1km from the homestay - Excellent host - Enjoyed a lot in the trampoline, campfire, pedal boating, TT, cricket etc - The host will arrange transportation to visit places in and around sakleshpur at nominal price. We had a great staycation experience at Makkithitta homestay. We had informed Mr. Bharath earlier that we will have to work for 1 during during our 4 day stay and they made all the arrangements so that our workday went smooth. The caretaker Prema even went out of the way and kept our kid busy as we worked. The food was yummy with lot of variety. Also it is 100 percent vegetarian and quality is maintained. Only complaint here was sometimes if we reached the food counter late, food would be cold and sometimes sime varieties were finished. Rooms are basic with necessary amenities. But they can add a cupboard to keep and hang clothes as they would be lying around the room due to lack of any other space. The view from the resort is amazing. They also have a beautiful boat ride which can be used anytime. Other games like throwball, shuttle and trampoline are available. Main highlight is their hospitality and the home feel.…

We stayed in Makkithitta homestay for 3 nights and we were a group of 15 members. The place is super neat and the owners are very friendly and hospitable. The food was excellent and our kids had a great time. The best part was how homely the entire place was. I would highly recommend this for family and large groups. We visited around 4 places near the home stay which were superb. Overall an excellent trip for us !!

We had a family get together here. Everything was organised very well and amazing hospitality. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Malenadu style food was a treat to my taste buds. Thank you!!!!

Makkithitta is wonderful place to have a relaxed time with family and friends.This home stay is surrounded by full of greenery. We get very tasty vegetarian food and we loved it. And that too they used vegetables directly from their farm. Exited to visit again with my full family,Thank you Mrs and Mr.Bharat for making us carry good memories.

Very beautiful home stay surrounded with nature and coffee plantation. Greatest advantage of this homestay is, PURE VEG. Hospitality is very good and family oriented nature. Especially for family stay, it's a great place.

We had a pleasant stay at the Makkithitta homestay. It had a 360 degrees greenery surrounded with a beautiful view. Food is top notch. Mrs. Saroja makes sure the food is finger licking. Bharath is Saroja’s son and is taking care of the property and visitors. Bharath makes sure the hospitality is never compromised. Mr. Tejpal is Bharath’s father and is an amazing person. Make sure to spend sometime talking to Mr. Tejpal, he is an amazing entertainer. Please take the tour guidance from Mrs. Saroja; she knows the attractive and must visit places around. Overall, an excellent experience at Makkithitta Homestay. Thank you Bharath, Saroja Aunty and Tejpal uncle for an amazing service.

We had a very nice experience at Makkithitta home stay. The first time ever have I seen a 350 degree view of greenery. When I had called in for the reservation, Mr. Bharath confidently told me that we will like the place and it was very true !! Our main criteria was vegetarian food and Makkithitta provides you pure , very tasty and hygienic home made food. Smt. Saroja was so hospitable to us and ensured all of us had fresh and hot food at all times. She made us feel so much at home, thank you so much Mam. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days..but still felt we should have stayed more. I thank the entire Makkithitta family for their hospitality .
