As the name says really the experience is swastha. A beautiful place full of scenic beauty and natural greenery soothes our heart and mind . We went a group of 4 families and enjoyed the 2 nights with authentic homely and satwik food prepared by Kanaklata Aunty. The hospitality and welcome provided by uncle Jayaraj was really heart touching. The caretaker Puttaraju was really helpful and took care all our needs along with his family.Childrens enjoyed swimming and campfire.
We enjoyed morning which was very thrilling with different birds chirping and peacocks movement and sound inside the coffee plantation.
Specially bitrootchappati, palak paneer, masoor dal, lauki curry, evening snacks with refreshing coffee and tea were the show's toppers among all different foods served to us.We enjoyed the 30 acres property full of different spices, fruits, flowers and vegetables.
Thanks to Swastha family and LAXMI S mam for their all support and hospitality.

The place is peaceful with great food. Amazing and prompt service.

The place comes with a swimming pool. The staff will also organize a bonfire in the evening.

Best place to unwind and relax with your family.
A must visit.

Hello guys,
Swatha homestay is at good peaceful location. We with overall strength of 7 members went for a trip and stayed here.
Unlike nature the rooms were average and food was pathetic we paid 2500rs/person.But they give average veg food without any variety and non veg they got us from outside Rashid. It was also not tasty and pathetic.I guess they need to provide proper food and ambience for the money we pay them..There are lot more resorts good than this near Sakaleshpura.
I really appreciate the way that Nagaraj Sir treated us.But I guess age is not permitting him for bringing changes and its outdated. It's time for the owner Lakshmi Somanath to initiate changes as per the current trends especially food.
Putraju and his son needs to be appreciated as they tried to look after the property and maintain it.
Those who wish to stay at swastha homestay better opt for without food and bring food from outside

Please do not visit this place if you care about your money. There is absolutely no value for money. Food is not at all good. The person who is managing this stay doesn't even know what the menu for the day is. Lakshmi Somnath - please learn the management skills from other homestays. If you really want to run a business, kindly do not give lame reasons such as "CCTV is not working", "I don't know what's happening", etc. Kindly come to the homestay location and manage things, if not please do not initiate bookings at all. Rooms are not at all maintained properly. It is our hard earned money and we do not like to waste it for such a terribly maintained homestay. There is absolutely no facility for the money we are paying. This place is not at all recommended for families.

This was our first trip to Sakleshpur and with no idea of any homestay, we booked Swastha. It was the best decision for a place to stay as we hoped for. The property caretaker Nagraj was very helpful. The place belongs to Mrs. Lakshmi and her parents. Uncle and Aunti were very generous and provided us the best hospitality. For the first time, we had tasted Malnad food and it was awesome. I would highly recommend this place for the stay in Sakleshpur.

Great place to relax and chill. Excellent environs, lovely home cooked food with garden fresh vegetables - served with love and excellent hospitality.

A great tour of the vegetables grown in the facility and a 100-year house.

This a one of the very first homestay started in Sakleshpura. A very nice secluded place to stay. Ideal for family stay.. Hosts are polite and accommodating. Food is good with hint of traditional cuisine. Do visit.

We stayed at Swastha for 2 days in the last week of May 2014. We were 10 adults and 2 kids (including 1 infant). We have stayed at few homestays in other locations and compared to the quality we have experienced there, Swastha was a let down.

Positives :
a) The farm around the house is very nicely maintained and there are lot of fruit bearing trees. The walk in the morning is very refreshing
b) The owner of the place is a elderly gentleman who is on the job all the time. He tries to make things easier (to the best of his ability)
c) The staff are ok, but not great.

To be worked upon :
a) Lot of mosquitoes and the staff do very little to assist
b) Place is not very hygienic. The design of the bathrooms in the rooms is very peculiar (the partition between the room and the bathroom is not till the cieling and it can be very embarassing / messy when someone is using the loo)
c) Stay away from the pool. Couple of us had some kind of rashes after using it
d) Service was very slow and pathetic at times. In 1 instance, we had to wait for 45 mins @ 8 pm in the night waiting for the staff to get us plain rice (to feed the infant) !!!!!
e) Though we had different varieties of food being served, we couldnt enjoy as they were spicey. Though we kept on requesting from the first meal to have the "hot" content to be reduced, it didnt have the desired effect completely
f) The staff are not adequately trained in housekeeping / service. Though they are decent boys, they were rude in couple of instances (we had decided to stay a day longer as we had done a day trip to Kukke and we wanted to rest.......... we had to cut short and cancel the extension after one of the staff - senior most amongst them - spoke with disrespect and seemed to be aloof)

Swastha team, kindly look at this feedback constructively and make some changes. We have visited few homestays and seen real good quality service (WOW factor). We found that lacking and also some of the basic things are being missed.

For 1st time visitors to homestays, swastha is a good place. For people who have visited the likes of bananki, getting pleased here is tough

Malnad place is good.., but not the swastha home stay... In this home stay you people can find huge number of caterpillars worms in the room, especially in the corner of the beds.

Service wise is really horrible, you people need to beg for your requirements.. even after paying them huge amount of rent.. if u demand anything in this home stay... these peoples takes very lite and ignores your request. If u complain to the Owner of this home stay... they says please settle the amount and you can leave.

This is how i have experienced in this home stay.. Many more thinks are there to share with you peoples this is enough.

Special thanks to Dr.Lakshmi ( owner of this homestay)
My dear tripadvisor.. i request you peoples not to suggest this kind of homestay., visitors lose hopes on your peoples.. kindly remove swasta home stay from your Database.

Regards
Ram

Hi..I don't think they can accommodate 35 people. But since I went around 6 months ago, you can call them and check if they have increased the capacity. On food front, they offer veg and non-veg food but specifically for Jain food, I suggest you to call them up and confirm. Thanks
