Worst ever homestay!! Never ever go this homestay if you really care about your hard earned money. The one star is given only for the hardworking caretaker Nagaraj and his aged Father Govindappa , who do A to Z jobs at this homestay and are the only hospitable people on the property. The rooms are poorly maintained and bathrooms aren't hygienic. The pool is not maintained well too and you have algae floating all around. And donot talk about food... There is no variety at all. And food is never served hot. The person who runs the homestay Lakshmi Somanath is very ignorant and too much money minded and should take serious lessons in managing a hospitality business. She was not even aware of the menu for the day and she gives you lame reasons of "CCTV NOT WORKING" in which case she shouldn't be taking any bookings at all. She easily blames it on the workers, which shows the money minded attitude. There was literally nobody to see us off when we left othr than Mr.Govindappa who was so regretful that our mood was off. We spent our hard earned 10k on this poorly maintained property. DONOT MAKE THE MISTAKE we made. Never go this homestay. If there was a negative star ,I'd give that also

Please do not visit this place if you care about your money. There is absolutely no value for money. Food is not at all good. The person who is managing this stay doesn't even know what the menu for the day is. Lakshmi Somnath - please learn the management skills from other homestays. If you really want to run a business, kindly do not give lame reasons such as "CCTV is not working", "I don't know what's happening", etc. Kindly come to the homestay location and manage things, if not please do not initiate bookings at all. Rooms are not at all maintained properly. It is our hard earned money and we do not like to waste it for such a terribly maintained homestay. There is absolutely no facility for the money we are paying. This place is not at all recommended for families.

The place is peaceful with great food. Amazing and prompt service. The place comes with a swimming pool. The staff will also organize a bonfire in the evening. Best place to unwind and relax with your family. A must visit.

This a one of the very first homestay started in Sakleshpura. A very nice secluded place to stay. Ideal for family stay.. Hosts are polite and accommodating. Food is good with hint of traditional cuisine. Do visit.

Great hosts, location and food, it's situated right in between Sakleshpur and somvarpet so the drive from either side is amazing, would suggest you take the scenic somvarpet route from Bangalore although Sakleshpur is closer, food is lip smacking and you can drive to Bisley ghat which like 20kms approx. From this place.

This place is run by an amazing family who are great hosts. They serve lip smacking local food. Pool is well maintained. Lots of space to walk around and play some games. We spent quality time around the camp fire. Toilets can be maintained better. And the single beds need to be bigger.

We generally don't prefer homestay because of the experiences we had.But this time around based on the recommendation of my sister who visited swastha homestay 9 years ago decided to give it a try. And yes we were not disappointed at all.. The place is nestled between green tranquil surroundings .The two cottages and an annexe building with rooms,is an ideal setting. The campfire place the gazibo and the fairly big swimming pool add to the soft ambience. Vegetarian food with malnad specialities, yummy chutneys.cridpy papers, finger licking pickles and soft akki rottis are a treat. Whats more endearing is the service provided by Nagaraj the supervisor and his father govindappa...the owners mr jayraj is a perfect host too.. If you are planning an outing to sakleshpur...mark this place...you will not be disappointed....
