Best things of the resort: Spacious rooms, hanging walking bridge, Kayaking, swimming pool, kids pool, good spread of buffet, weather proof and spacious children play area (can be used even during rains), property at a pleasant place, they keep umbrella every places to pick and walk and really helps during rains. Bad experiences: Intercoms wont work most of the time, rooms / bathrooms are not cleaned even after making mulitple requests, to follow up or communicate is a hastle, no phone works other than jio (its a good thing to enjoy the trip, but due to intercom failure this really affects and it takes 600m walk to reach to front office, cant walk for evert small requests. We really struggled to get the water bottles refilled).

Room Tip: Better to choose without balconies. Non balcony ones are more spacious and feels good.

Please avoid this place at all costs. It was a nightmare spending the independence day weekend here. It is worse than Oyo Rooms that I have stayed before. After a 6 hour drive from Bangalore, you have to wait 15 mins tired and helpless till they figure out how to get you to room in their vehicle. Meanwhile, no one offers a welcome drink that was part of package. Towels are dirty once you are in room and you call for an extra towel thinking it may be better. But even that towel is dirty. Bathroom fixtures were broken. Room had a musty moldy smell that we somehow removed by keeping the balcony door open. Clearly shows how housekeeping is subpar. Bathroom looked half finished. An open air part did not have a shower head, as if someone started work on it, but then thought of not doing it. Front door did not close properly. So the room was also not fully secure. Breakfast buffet when you ask for omlette and they come back after 10 mins and tell you that it is not possible because others will see and order the same thing and they don't have enough people in kitchen. That is such a wonderful excuse. Later you come to know that they started offering omlettes. So even the breakfast is not what you expected. Next afternoon, ask for vehicle till reception so can go sightseeing. Vehicle doesn't arrive in 15 mins, so we walk to reception for next horror. 2 cars were allowed to park in front and back of our vehicle and owners had left for trekking. We waited for 1 hour at reception while they tried to figure out what to do. No lunch for the day. Sightseeing plans out of window. It could have been worse if we were planning to come back to Bangalore same day. They moved one of the cars ( Tata Tiago) in a way I would have been horrified if it was my car: lifting using wooden plates and moving. I wonder if this is how they treat guest belongings. On coming back, housekeeping wasn't done. No drinking water in room. Apparently everyone busy with checking. Existing guests can go, no one cares. Even after this, if you want to visit this place, please do at your own peril. Don't say we did not warn you.

so as the tagline suggest " towards the forest "the resort is completely surrounded by lush green forest and is a perfect weekend gateaway. If you are a pet parent than this place is meant for you as they allow pets to stay with you subject to any damage to the property . Our Beagle - Keeko enjoyed the stay to the maximum . We stayed in property from 18th to 19th June The cottages are big and are specious It has a vast open area which can be enjoyed by everyone including your pet. A perfect scenic view from reception and swimming pool will take away all your stress from city chores. A Trekking to view point in the morning can be enjoyed by kids also Food is good and have a really nice spread of veg/non veg and north and south cosine We missed the evening bone fire as it was raining. Sitting beside the pool with a glass of your favorite drink and enjoying the night gives you a awesome feeling Mr. Almeda who is the GM of the property is always available to help you Staffs are very courteous You can arrange for a paid sight seeing which the resort can help you with DO not expect good phone connectivity

Me and my friends family landed here on 25th Feb (3 weeks ago) to be precise. We had a very detailed conversation regarding the pricing as it was too expensive 44K for 2 nights for 2 family. After all conversation we locked down at 42K for 2 rooms assuming its worth investing if it gives us a luxury experience for our families for 2 days. They claimed. the reason for this costing is "its one of the luxury resorts of Sakelshpur" Day 1: We ended up in the resort. Checked In. - First thing AC wasnt cooling although switching ON - Thought it will take sometime so we waited. It was same ... very hot ... in fact outside the room, it was much better so we preferred to sit outside meanwhile calling helper staff - Helper came and told it would get colder and its because of the heat outside :) . Believe me if an AC at 16C couldnt cool the room till 2 hrs ... :) - Next none of the channels (movie/ssport) was functioning which they claimed to work or rather didnt have knowledge . We knew that it was not paid for view. But we were surprised to see that the staff were not able to figure that out this channel is not paid by them and hence you woudnt get this. Instead they were saying it would work in some time. One of the helper said there is a signal issue because of a LARGE TREE outside :) :) So with all this AC and TV Mess, after 5 hours we got the room changed obviously after asking for it and atleast the AC problem got sorted out after that. Point here is SERVICE STAFF is not well equipped to handle queries on Maintaince for a claimed luxury resort. It was even. pathetic considering a normal 2-star resort experience in that sense - Amenities are as usual as any other 2-3 star resort. View to be honest not great. Swimming pool is normal. Food was good. - We had a nature walk leading to a river trail again not really amazing. - Room Cleaning was not throughout 2 days and only done when asked for. - Kayaking in Man made lake timing was only for few hours. Fishing was claimed to be available but wasnt the case. When we shed 44K, we do expect a WoW experience which to be honest didnt get for 2 days we stayed. All we did was stay in the room and watch cricket and kabaddi matches which we could have done in Bangalore at our home. If you want a true LUXURY RESORT experience STAY AWAY from this resort. there is nothing near by this resort to experience as well so you will be stuck here. You need to go with their package outside which again is 8000 Rs + . After shedding 44K any additional expense is too much to bear.

Heavily overpriced and overrated. There is absolutely nothing in this resort which can qualify it to be called as a luxury resorts as is the claim. - First, extremely bad state of services. AC and TV was not working it took them glad day to resolve the problem. You get to see barely any channels on the TV. The solution they give is that watch the 'Kannada' version of the channel. - Pathetic state of wifi. Not resolved even after a series of complaints. - Just average food. Nothing to be called as luxury. - Swimming pool full of dry leaves. No proper cleaning. - Surprised to see that no housekeeping was done for a 3 day stay. When we asked, we were told that you have to ask for it. How funny. - Absolutely no view in the name of hill view cottage. This should be half the price of what they are offering. And i rightfully and humbly demand a part of my booking fee returned.

The pictures might show you great nature scenes which is what brought us here on new year's eve. Here we saw that no one was wearing masks, food was terrible, and more importantly, all guests were pouncing on a small tray of snacks (at so-called high tea) with no masks on. This is a Covid nighmare waiting to happen. Our NYE was ruined - keep yourselves safe and avoid this place.

It was 9 families (18 adults) meeting nearly 5 years amidst of omincron scare. We were looking for a decent property at a price fitting all pockets. Most of the properties had to offer shared accmmodation (dormitory style). Finally we found a reasonable answer with MooKanana. We stayed for 3D/2N. Here is a brief summary of our experience of our stay: What worked well... 1. Staff with great attitude and ready to serve. Some times our dinner went as late as 11:30 pm they were just around to serve us 2. Food is good, the hotel staff are flexible to to customize to your needs. We were a bunch of vegetarians so cannot comment on non veg options. 3. Rooms were clean, neat and tidy. Check in was quick, it took barely 5mins. 4. By reading reviews were were apprehensive about lizards (other insects) in room, glad we found none. 5. The drive to the resort from Bangalore was decent enough. Not too tiring, road condition werent really bad. What could have been better: 1. There is no phone signal in resort. If you want to stay connected with someone back home its a hassle. 2. Internet connectivity is poor. Total digital detox. 3. Great property, lacks maintenance. Its easy to find flaws. For the price point you pay, you will not regret the decision of choosing this resort. We will love to get back again.

Beautiful resort in the midst of thick western ghats forest. Each room is surrounded by good amount of greenery. Staff were very warm and welcoming. Very cooperative to whatever we asked for. I can't miss to mention the food.. great taste and plenty of options, can't miss any of the dishes. Strongly recommend to go for buffet. Do no miss it. Overall wonderful experience. If you are thinking of a resort in sakleshpur, do visit this. Worth every penny.

Worst service, no intercom, in our 2 night stay housekeeping never came to clean the rooms even after request, we had booked jeep safari in resort and they had cancellled it at last moment after keeping us waiting for an hour citing drivers dint came, ruined our schedule of the day,.. Better stay at other good places which provides good service.. Zero for service at mookanana, waited more than half hour to talk to manager, but he dint come to talk, finally had to leave and continued to our further destination.. Those want service and hospitality stay away from this resort.
