1. Rooms have lot of bugs. Spider webs and spiders crawling everywhere. Big ants, red ants, creepy crawlies everywhere at night. There are wall worms stuck on the wall and ceiling and they fall on the bed and floor and at night. Its too disgusting to stay with all these bugs. There is broken glass on top of the front door and at night lot of insects can get inside the room. A huge moth of the size of a bat got inside and it was a huge task make it go away. Finally we had to get rid of it unfortunately :( as it was not going out. 2. The day we checked in, for lunch they served spoiled pumpkin playa. Rest of the food on other times was ok. 3. There is no quiet hours in here after 10 or 11 pm. Even though I specifically mentioned to give a room that is quiet of noise from other teams they gave a room that is in between the two rooms. One of the team made noise till 1 pm at night. Loud noises laughing and screaming at 1 and also pulling of furnitures inside. 4. Lot of power cuts. 5. Dining hall is not kept clean. Food spilled and dried up everywhere on the floor. 6. Dishes are not washed thoroughly. Resort is located in a nice place has lot of potential but is not maintained well. Staff is not professional. Manager looks like some guy who has no knowledge of hospitality industry. For the same price we get amazing quality resorts in other places. Felt very disappointed.

I just loved my stay there. It was too good, and the weather was cold and nice. It has some really good activities to chill out with friends, and some perfect spot for a picturesque view. Overall, worth visiting and they serve some amazing local cuisines, especially their chicken curry with akki roti was mind blowing. Good food, good place, worth the money.

We went there on 12 to 14th of may. Hospitality is not up to the mark. Pool pond is in quality Mud volleyball was not clean Food was worst here. Not at all worth going if you are a foodie. Taste is bad, no choices, very limited items. I believe lot more to improve. Please discuss with them before going.

Location is why you should go here. There are many resorts around and I don't find any reason why you should pick this place over the rest. We friends stayed in a 10 bedded room. Yes! 10 beds. But they have only 1 bathroom for you. Imagine 10 friends/family members fighting for bathroom space. The food is decent. Nothing special. But as is with most of the resorts/homestays these days, vegetarians are 2nd class citizens. What special you have? Sir we have two spicy chicken items. What do you have in veg? Sir, beetroot palya and beans palya. This is the usual scenario these days. To hell with you if you are a vegetarian. Fortunately, the manager (good guy by name Jobi) was very courteous and had some egg dishes made for me that saved my day. The room boy Basavaraju was also very courteous. But for these two, I'm sure Saalugudda would've been a forgettable experience. The highlight has to be the visit to a peak nearby with no name. Ask Jobi to take you to the distant peak, not the nearby one. The view from there is absolutely spectacular, breathtaking. With no sight of anything manmade in the vicinity, you're in the lap of nature. Try spend sometime there and let the beauty of nature sink in. Rooms were not bad. Firecamp arranged every night. Winter in January was very cold at night. Mansoons must be more exciting both within the property and on the peak. Overall, not a bad experience.

Amazing location and good staff added to a perfect outing for our group. Saalugudda resort overlooks the mountain range which are fondly called as Saalugudda since the mountains are lined up for kms. The resort offers stunning views from the cottages of these mountain range. Lush green mountains and nearby shola forests are a treat for anybody's eyes. Small streams which flow near by the resort are added benefit for a day's activity. The resort also has a pond which is kept clean and has flowing water which has been diverted from a small stream from uphill. Cottages - are clean and can accommodate upto 8 people. The toilets are kept clean and have gas geycers for hot water. The cottages have balconies on the ground floor overlooking the mountains. Activities - one can spend time in the pond or go for a trek to nearby hill. Food - was good but there is scope to improve. Activities for Kids - not many Approach - Good, but last 600mts stretch can be difficult by vehicle during the heavy rains. Resort guys offer a pickup from jeep if its difficult to reach during monsoon months from the parking area. Staff - very helpful and supportive.
