Stay at The Kaduhithlu - Sakleshpur
We planned a weekend getaway to The Kaduhithlu Resort. It is a pleasant resort in the middle of the Coffee Plantation. Very peaceful and calm, a very perfect place to visit to get away from the city's hustle bustle. Also visiting during covid times, they have made sure about maintaining all the necessary precautions and sanitization. A must place to stay near Sakleshpur.

The resort is in the beautiful foothills of western ghats, off of Sakleshpur main road en-route the Charmady ghat. The property captures the essence of Malnad scenery very well, with the backdrop of hills on the one side, a flowing stream, a quaint main house with a period style central courtyard/atrium and a porch upfront that looks into the pond, and cottages near by - all beautifully nestled within the coffee plantation.

The property also features a lovely thatched gazebo (easily my favorite) that overlooks the little pond, providing a perfect setting to sit down and soak in the beautiful scenery all while keeping an eye on your kids playing or swimming by. There is a large enough open area for any games or activities befitting a large group or a family, and a nice little trampoline the kids couldn’t get enough of. There is also an area in front of the main house to pitch a bonfire, weather permitting.

Despite being a large group with kids, we were in good hands and felt right at home! The hosts were incredibly warm and run the place with a lot of passion. Infact Kalyan made sure we were on the right roads and din’t miss any crucial waypoints along the route to the property. We felt welcomed right from the get go throughout our stay.

They can accommodate large and small groups alike with cottages of different sizes. The cottages are spacious and airy with large windows. They were very well maintained with clean sheets, clean bathrooms and hot water.

I've been frequenting this part of the ghats for a while now, and stayed at several resorts, homestays, hotels over these years. While each property has its own highlights, they all have more or less the same quality of food. Nothing too bad to complain, yet nothing too good to write home about. On occasions, the food usually dilutes the overall experience. However i can say this without a shadow of a doubt, that i've had the best food here by a long mile! They were fantastic with our requests and pretty generous at it too considering the large group that we were. We also had a bunch of kids travel with us, and considering how finicky kids can get with food, they were so patient and accommodating with them too! It's the little things like these that cannot be understated!

There are a few trails around the property for those inclined to enjoy treks or want to just hike up the hills. Manjarabad fort and Abbe falls are close by from the property as well. So you get to stay here and make a good weekend out of it. If you're backpacking in this area, or just passing by, It's a nice place to stay either way.

We had a whale of a time! Kalyan and team run a tight ship. Easily the best place this side of Sakleshpur. Will surely be coming back again.

My second visit to this awesome place, always welcoming!

One of the best places I have ever stayed around Sakleshpur is The Kaduhithlu Resort. Great hospitality, beautiful location, awesome amenities, lip smacking food. Everything was great. Would love to go here again and again.

The best part is - the management ensures the place gets very limited guests so the guests experience the exclusivity during their stay.

First visit to Sakleshpur - Kaduhithlu Homestay

Here goes my feedback:

a) The service is extremely efficient, professional and friendly.

b) The location of the property is set in the middle of a coffee plantation with decent size cottages. Balcony facing the valley and the plantation with water gushing through the stream which sets the mood to enjoy your holiday at the perfect location.

c) The food was buffet spread. I must compliment them for ensuring not only the presentation was excellent but taste was also outstanding.

d) Overall a must stay. Take a trek. Basically a place to relax and chill out watching nature and listening to the chirping of the birds and yes the insect cicada. Ideal place to unwind where you will not only get peace of mind but can also do a lot of photography or maybe just laze around and get pampered.

I would surely be visiting the place again early 2021. Thank you to Kaduhithlu Team for making our holiday a very memorable one.

We two families had a great couple of night stays at Kaduhithlu resort. It was an amazingly pleasant experience. It is great in terms of amazing location midst of the nature, peaceful and close to nature, delicious homely variety of quality food, hygienic rooms with very good view points from inside, a great hospitality from Kalyan. There is a lot of green space with variety of fun activities. A great place for hangout and explore.

If you are yearning for sometime with mother nature and your friends or family members amidst some warm hospitality, this has to be the place you should stay at. Location is perfect and so are the hosts who wouldn't say a "No" for anything.

The Malnad style food and the variety was so good, all of us left the place wishing for some more.

The property is spread across 8 acres of lush greenery. Home to variety of fruits and fauna and lots to do for kids and adults alike. Natural pool is a must try.

The guided trek to the adjoining hill is an activity you shouldn't miss for anything.

Am definitely gonna come back. Really appreciate the efforts put in by the super hosts in making our two nights stay comfortable.

The only improvement i would like to see when i visit next, is that the cottages have a larger table and may be a wardrobe to keep your stuff.

This is a late post but felt like I must write about it atleast now because of such an amazing experience we had at the stay. Initially we were skeptical as we had taken our 5yr old as well and were wondering if he will like it or not! But we were pleasantly surprised!!! As much Relaxing as it was for us, it was so much fun for him as well! Right from jumping on the trampoline all day long, cricket ground, soaking our feet in the natural pool, throwing stones into the stream at the property, trekking to Saalugudda in the morning, Jeep ride to the nearby Sunset point, he thoroughly enjoyed it!
The property is at the foothills of the mountain Saalugudda and the best part for us was waking up to the view of this beautiful and peaceful mountain. And coming to the food, it was really good! The Room was cozy and neat! Hosts Shwetha and Kalyan were really sweet, and we loved their hospitality and the little chit chats that we had!
All in all, it was absolutely peaceful and was a Refreshing Break for us!!! 

First Break after Covid : A splendid stay!

Absolutely delightful stay - awesome cottages with cozy room and private balconies facing the valley, great service, very good homely food. The staff caters to every need. The property is located amidst coffee estate with attractive water bodies. During the current situation - they are not running full capacity of guests in terms of reservations, which we felt very safe during our stay

Top activities i would mention you can spend good time around natural pond, natural stream and definitely one cannot miss the trek if you stay at Kaduhithlu. Kids enjoyed their trampoline and a small pond

We had a very relaxing and beautiful stay at Kaduhithlu last week. It was recommended by our neighbour. The property itself is very beautiful with cosy, very clean, cottages with comfortable beds. The cottages are nestled amidst trees. Food was very good - Kalyan ( the owner, and an excellent chef) goes out of his way to take into account our dietary considerations. He spoilt us with a spread for every meal! The cottages are cosy, with a sitout area. There is a beautiful stream that runs through the property and a natural pool. Other activities - Lot of wide open space for badminton, soccer, and a net for volleyball. Big trampoline that our little one thoroughly enjoyed. Table tennis. They take us up a nearby hill for a hike early morning and the views of the western ghats are amazing. There is a big covered gazebo to sit and have a meal or sit cosily to ready a book. Campfire every night to look at the stars.

Owners are passionate about what they do and put their heart into it. You can contact the resort directly to book. Communication is quick and detailed. Great place to unwind for a couple of days. Go for it.

Thanks a lot to the team at Kaduhithlu !
