We chose this resort based on my brother's recommendation, and I’m so glad we did. The property is tucked away in a peaceful area, and the location is fantastic. I’m very happy with both the staff and the service we received during our 3-day, 2-night stay in a cottage.
Raghu was the first person to greet us, and then Kavan took care of all our needs throughout the stay. He was incredibly kind and polite, always going the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. We also went on a small trek, and we were joined by a sweet pet named Chintu, who accompanied us throughout the journey. Not to forget Charli, another friendly pet who made our stay even more enjoyable. Both Chintu and Charli were always around, playing and keeping us company.
I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a homely stay. I’m sure you won’t regret a single moment spent at this resort!
The wooden cottage we chose was clean, neat, and well-maintained, making it a comfortable and pleasant place to stay, complete with beautiful glass flooring that added a unique touch.
Activities : The trek to Sallu Gudda was a bit challenging but incredibly rewarding, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. We were accompanied by Aroha's friendly pet, Chintu, who made the journey even more enjoyable with his playful energy and companionship.
Food and drinks : The food was absolutely amazing. We even met the chef, Mani, and told him that the food was no less than what you'd expect at a star hotel. Whatever we requested, Chef Mani prepared it perfectly.

A great 360 view of the lush green hills of the western ghats just in front of was completely unexpected. Aroha's Eco Hill Resort is just the right place where you can find little peace of heaven. Holidays are meant to be relaxing and rejuvenating our stressful minds. Your resort was just the right abode for us. The experience was truly amazing. Starting from the stay , serving us with delicious food, providing a breathtaking view from the deck to your great hospitality is worth every penny. A special appreciation to Mr Prashanth who took great care of us, saw to it our stay was comfortable. Thankyou Aroha's for making our 2 day stay feel like a little piece of heaven on earth.

This pretty resort was in wishlist for long time. Due to work stress, me and my sister finally decided to take leave and go to this resort.

Aroha Eco Hill resort was so therapeutic experience. Resort in mid of nature, it's so instagrammy as well. We were welcomed by Pradeep (Manager) very sweetly, temperature checks, sanitizing hands were done. We kept our luggage and left for lunch and welcome drink. We were vegetarians, we got yummy tasty food to fill our stomach.

We were in family cottage, the look of it reminded me of homes in USA. Rooms were sanitized. We were 3, if you have large set of people, you can choose other options. Interiors and Exteriors of the resort is 10/10.

They have activities in resort itself which is part of package you book i.e., Zip Lining (I loved it and experienced it twice), Rain Dance, Rope climbing, Volleyball court, swimming pool, trekking to nearby hills which is soooo FAB on top. Easy trek, guide from Aroha will be with you.

Staffs at resort were really really helpful, would thank each and every person who helped us have such an amazing trip to sakleshpur. We met Aroha owner as well, who was helpful in guiding us.

Thank you Rashmi, Satish sir and Pradeep for treating us best. We loved it. Must Visit, mark this in your wishlist and go enjoy at this resort.

The location of the property is extremely beautiful. Couple of stream passes through the property and there is a swimming pool as well as a man made pond. Its serene. The wooden cottage is damn beautiful with glass floor and a stream running underneath.
All the staff are very courteous, Pradeep especially is down to earth and does whatever he can to make your stay comfortable.
The staff take you on a nearby trek to 'kallu metlu' free of cost, there is a small zipline as well.

The food was a mixed bag, sometimes it was very tasty and I had even the appreciated the chef for that particular dish. But some times it was underwhelming. They suck at chinese dishes, so dont order chinese starters. The coffee/tea tumblers were so tiny felt like austerity measure taken due to covid times.

One thing that the resort owner needs to understand, when people spend big money and choose a remote location, their main priority is PEACE. Having a big group spoils the whole atmosphere, there WILL be noise.
Except for the wooden cottage which was isolated, rest all cottage is shared with another guest. If your neighbor is chatty, you just have bear with it. Hill view cottage is a combo of 4 in one cottage, so that's even worse. There is a duplex cottage where you dont share the cottage, but you have to cough up more since it accommodates more people and more suitable for big family.

The resort was under-staffed, the breakfast was served at a leisurely 0945, lunch was served at leisurely 1330 & Dinner at 2130.
The owner is a very friendly person, he did accept that large group created some nuisance and he couldnt help and expressed that 3 of his staff went on leave hence the delay in buffet timings.

We were a group of 3 families with kids who had planned on staying for 2 days at Aroha's. After reading all the reviews and looking at the images, we were very excited about the place. However, on reaching the resort, we realised the resort is fully booked (against Covid norms) and the service is very bad for families with kids.
We had 4 kids in our group and a pregnant lady. They served dinner at 10 p.m and breakfast post 9 a.m. inspite of our repeated requests! Though it was raining continously non-stop, they refused to provide umbrellas. The food is very average and oily. Covid safety norms were not followed and staff were not wearing masks and not taking necessary precautions. We were so disappointed with the overall service and upkeep of the resort, that we cut short our stay and checked out the immediate next day.
This is not a resort for families and is not at all kid friendly. It's good only for groups of bachelors and couples. Location is good, but nothing else is great about the resort. Hospitality is very bad.

The property is extremely beautiful but the room was full of moisture and unclean to add to it. There was hair in the toilet sink, the sheets were dirty and there were bottle stains on the plank. They gave me a complete refund and the staff was kind enough to guide me to another nearby stay but I think the rooms need maintainance.

Having said this the food served at the hotel is very local and very tasty.

Property is really good and it's well maintained also.
But rooms, service and food is not upto the mark.
Room where we stayed it can accommodate 4 beds in that they put 8 beds, because of this we didn't find the place to keep our stuffs. There is only one cupboard which is also for namesake, because it's doors blocked by a coat. Beautiful view from room but you don't find the chairs to sit and enjoy that view.
Service - Any food they served was cold. They don't care when you come n eat they just prepare and keep it. For evening snacks we have to order before 5PM and later if you need also they don't prepare. Whatever you order they prepare at one shot and give it. We told them to serve one after the other so that we get hot snacks. They served one after the other but cold once.
Food - Other than one or two items we didn't find any good food. Breakfast was horrible. We ordered 4 omelette and received 4 small pieces of one omelette which is made of one or two eggs.
They put lot of salt in the food after requesting for it to reduce also it didn't come down. Either they are preparing without slat or with heavy salt.

It gives us great pleasure to read that you enjoyed the ambiance , hospitality , location and views. Due to our close proximity to Bangalore ( 4 hours drive with a pit - stop for breakfast ) it is an ideal gateway to just relax and rejuvenate away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Pros:
1) Absolutely beautiful location.
2) Aroha Resort is more than 7 years old(doesn't look like
more than 2 years old), very well maintained.
3) Staff are very friendly and accomodating.
4) Food is as tasty as home made food
5) stayed in the wooden cottage, very well made. Even the fan is given a wooden look to gel with the room. Kids loved that some part was a glass floor.
6) owners have stayed away from plastic at most places, water bottles in rooms were glass, highly appreciated
7) trekking was absolutely worth

Cons: (really nitpicking here)
1) some part of water under zip line(which wasnt with the flow) had some green algae
2) wooden cottage glass could be polished for a better view of water beaneath
3) at some places, plastic stewn by guests may be, needs cleanup

Owner Mr.Satish took these inputs positively and agreed to rectify them instantly

Overall felt aaha aroha :) very satisfied. Would love to visit again.

I visited this location with relatives from the 19th. It’s a very nice place, very diligently cared for. Not exactly professional support staff, but sensitive and service oriented. Good food. Our stay was quite a dream stay(incidentally we stayed in the dormitory), until a big family trooped in. They were a raucous lot, no consideration for others, captured the pool, and totally destroyed the peaceful environment. They fought with all and sundry over trivial matters. Avoid weekends if you can, as one might bump into such characters. Otherwise the place is definitely recommended for families seeking peace, rural scenery and a lazy time.
