I ended up quarantining at the The Travancore Heritage and I was thoroughly impressed by the location. The cottages open to sweeping lawns and landscaped vistas with a view of the beach below. The rooms are vintage (traditional Kerala homes) and have a wooden deck to sit outside, which is a great place to sit and do nothing, you can get your digital detox! The front desk and house keeping are great, the room service was exceptional, and the chef was more than happy to customise. They all are friendly and really work hard. The Ayurveda doc recommended a massage which added to the relaxation. Overall I had a great stay, and I'd say- " go for the views and for some me time".

I had the pleasure to gift the 2 night staycation package at Travancore Heritage for my parents and grandmother. Being overseas i did not have the first hand experience of the staycation, but the feedback i received from my family was just overwhelming. The service was totally top class, the room was well kept , my almost last minute request for a separate bed in a separate room of the cottage was accepted whole heartedly and all arrangements were made well before their arrival. There was no gap in communication and arrangements although all the enquiries and bookings were done via whatsapp and online :-) My family of 3 who stayed for 2 nights, all senior citizens, did not face any difficulty throughout their entire stay, they had a very soothing massage at the clinic as part of the package, the food served was very good in quantity and quality, the hospitality of the staff was commendable. My sincere thanks to Ms Deepa and Mr Rathindran who patiently heard out all my requests and arranged to the dot .

Travancore Heritage is one of the best resorts I have visited till now. The kind of hospitality was excellent & the staffs were really helpful and friendly, carrying the perfect awareness of how to serve the customer. We got the flexibility of upgrading our cottages to premium category. The room was very spacious & well equipped and the service was excellent. From the balcony, we could view the sea and feel the cool breeze. The location of our room gave us a feel that we were on a cliff. Another highlight of Travancore Heritage is that we will experience so much of greenery in the premises with so many popular trees and beautiful flowers all around. Every location within the resort is a photogenic spot. The cottages give us a feel of 100% traditional Kerala houses of “Tharavadu” nature & the scenery views from the resort were mind-blowing. The clean & neatly maintained pool is a perfect option to refresh & relax and kids were enjoying the pool to the core. As soon as you come out of the resort, we just need to cross the road and there is a direct path leading to the beach. It felt like a private beach, very clean and clear water, a very good place to relax and chill. Last but not the least, the variety of spreads and the food taste was simply awesome. In last 10 years, this is the 5th time I am visiting Travancore Heritage and I have been here with my family & friends as well. For people who love privacy with traditional ambience, enjoy the scenic glimpses of nature and yummy spreads under one umbrella, I sincerely recommend Travancore Heritage

We were looking forward finishing our trip to Kerala at the Travancore after a busy holiday moving from town to town. This hotel was quite large, with one part up on the cliff with a nice view of the beach (where we were) and the second part lower down and closer to the beach with an additional pool area (Access via lift). Our room was small, there was very little space to move. We liked the bathroom which had more space and had a partially open roof. Our air conditioning kept breaking and was quite noisy. The staff were responsive and would be quick to fix it when it went off unexpectedly. There was a very weak WiFi signal, which was only slightly better outside the room. We had a nice outdoor area to sit, which overlooked the well maintained garden and beach. There were hammocks and swings dotted around the gardens, which was a nice touch. The food was very good and plentiful, at both breakfast and dinner. The staff weren't as friendly as the other hotels we stayed in, but to be fair they were quite busy. We found the prices here for food to be the highest we had experienced in Kerala. We opted for the a-la-carte option, which was just as tasty, with generous portions and better value. Beer was available at this hotel, although not available on special 'dry' days, which didn't bother us at all. The gym was accessible by going to the middle level on the lift. The gym over looked the lower pool and was air-conditioned (but didn't feel that cool) with 2 treadmills, weights etc. The beach was nice, perhaps a little more littered than I had expected with quite a few stray dogs. They didn't cause any issue, I think they just liked chilling out in the shade under the sun loungers. The hotel provided free sun loungers for guests, which was a good perk. However, we couldn't relax as we were regularly harassed by people trying to sell us products, who wouldn't take no for an answer. We personally enjoyed walking along the beach more than getting a sun lounger, that way we wouldn't be bothered at all. There were life guards on the beach, which was good as the sea was very choppy. While we were there, we saw it closed to swimmers a couple of times due to the force of the breaking waves on the shore. We found it more relaxing to chill at the poolside and it was great to have the option of two pools, which were relatively quiet. However, they could do with some updating as I found several dislodged floating tiles and we would get green algae on our skin from leaning against the tiles while in the pool. It was great for just cooling down or even swimming some lengths. There were plenty of sun loungers and staff were very quick to refresh your towel/offer a mattress. Overall it was a nice stay, but not the relaxing, luxurious final few nights we craved.

Travencore heritage was the best resorts I have visited in the past. I was keen to visit padmanabh Swamy temple but due to covid it was getting delayed. And planned to visit for a short trip. I searched resorts and contacted , got a very good response from travencore heritage. They gave a good package , made arrangements for my pickup and drop from airport and trip for the temple tour.
To be honest it was hassle free trip. I landed in Trivandrum in evening and after reaching resort at reception by the time I took welcome drink the staff was swift enough to do the formalities and we could go to the cottage. My cottage had a sea view , we sat outside on the wooden sofa and had a cup of tea viewing the sea waves. My wife enjoyed sitting on the swing which was just outside the room.
We had north indian food in dinner at resturant, I must tell you it was awesome and very tasty . More than that the staff was very courteous and respectful.
We slept early and did early darshan in the padmanabh Swamy temple, Ganesh temple and attakul devi temple. The cab was very neat and had plastic seperation from driver and rear seat Full covid precautions.
We came back by 9:00 am and had our breakfast. After which we never thought of going out. That day a family get together was there I also felt that here may be next year will plan a family holiday.
The resort has wonderful landscaping garden full of flowers , swimming pool sceneric beauty . The most important thing which I got was the blissful silence , we sat for hours to see the sea waves feeling the breeze hearing the roaring waves. It was very relaxing as we were out of daily chores.
Travencore heritage is above sea level I planned to visit the beach , to reach there we went down 3 floors by lift and passing another sea facing building reached beach . After spending time there we came back and relaxed in cottage. The cottage rooms are spacious and comfortable.
I would recommend anyone who is planning visit to Trivandrum must come to this resort for atleast two reasons Excellent food and service Other one is for relaxing in this cozy resort environment.
I would definitely come in my next visit with family.

Rooms are traditional style, spacious with balconies looking onto the gardens with a view of the Arabian Sea in the background. We had an ayurvedic package and enjoyed relaxing massages, hot oil treatments and a special diet. We visited in the middle of a busy tour of Kerala and it was perfect timing, it gave us a chance to relax and the special diet gave our digestive system a chance to recover from all the spicy food we had consumed. The small shop on site had some interesting stock and at very reasonable prices for everything including jewellery, scarfs, fridge magnets and clothing. Downside was a poor internet connection and our shower was a bit dated and the height couldn't be adjusted.

'Heritage, true to its Spirit' seems to be a tagline to suit this Heritage hotel the best. We got a warm welcome at arrival followed by a dedicated staff showing us around the property. The Lunch ala carte menu was quite elaborate. We had initially opted for Pool mansion rooms. The room is spacious and classy, with a 10*6ft pool, however , it didn't suit our family with small kids due to its depth of 7.5 ft. We shifted to Heritage Premium rooms, which was authentically traditional and suitable for a family of three. The view from room is quite refreshing. The campus is equipped with numerous swings, hammocks and seating areas which gives opportunity for groups/families to sit together and enjoy the scenic beauty. The staff is cooperative and hospitable and accommodated all our requirements during the stay. Swimming pool, although time restricted, is well maintained and clean. Restaurant is well equipped and offers a lavish spread in dinner buffet. The beach is around 10 min walk from the property, yet a dedicated life guard is positioned for the guests. I wouldn't recommend sea swimming during monsoons though. The restaurant/room service is not functional till about 0730 in the morning, which I found is a point to improve upon, however the breakfast buffet compensated for this delay. It comprised of a well spread out menu from traditional Kerala home dishes to fusion and continental dishes. All in all, we had a wonderful stay at the place, and a truly traditional experience.

We were staying at this hotel for 5 days. Great food and very accommodating staff. The owners of this resort are very involved in the upkeep and ensuring comfort of guests. We were in this resort for a yoga retreat. It is beautiful with lot of greenery and a stunning sea view. Food is delicious. They have various Ayurveda treatments also available. They have a nice pool and a shop if you want to shop something as a souvenir, gift or even swim suits. Over all a memorable stay.

Stayed for 2 days in Heritage home .The resort is located at an excellent location to enjoy the beach view.Really enjoyed the atmosphere, resort surroundings are maintained well and it’s really a great experience walking around the property with the views which are pleasant to the eyes. The seating provided in various locations in property is really nice to enjoy the nature around.The only issue we had during our stay was with the electrical devices in the room and when reported it was addressed quickly by the staff.Staff was really helpful to address all the queries and concerns.Food was good and the restaurant ambience is also very nice.

We arrived at the resort tired and the check in was poor. The room was not much better, the air conditioner was leaking, lights didn't work, T.V wasn't working also. The room was large and bathroom had all facilities. We had a very disappointing meal in the restaurant. The breakfast was included however we had an early flight and requested a breakfast to take away. It was not ready when we lefted the next morning. Two positive the swimming pool is wonderful and the grounds are lovely.

Do not know if that room has a bath tub. When we stayed most of the rooms had a balcony with a sea view. Why not email the hotel and find out about a bath tub. We enjoyed the hotel and the staff were very helpful.

In Trivandrum, there is a zoo where animals can be seen.
There is also a place called Kottoor where you will be able to see elephants taking showers— you need to go before 10:00 a.m. by starting from hotel ideally 8.30 a.m. after breakfast.
The Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary where wildlife travel can be arranged by the Kerala State Tourism Department at the Neyyar Dam.
