We had a wonderful stay here. The staff is extremely friendly and you are always greeted by at least one member of staff when coming back from a safari/trip.
They cook delicious Indian food which are also based around their local cuisine and not just your regular butter chicken or tikka masala. Me and my family have found many new Indian dishes that we enjoy lots.
The only downside of our stay was the internet that they offered. They do have internet! However, the internet is solely the staff’s hotspot from their own phones which is a slight hassle in some cases.
Other than that, the stay has been nothing short of wonderful. The rooms are very spacious and extremely tidy and clean. The bathrooms are large, beautiful and fully functional with no hot water problems which can be the case in many places.
Overall a great stay, and nothing short of a perfect 5/5 should they get a Wi-Fi router installed

My wife & I along with friends stayed at Kanha Jungle Resort during the last week of December 2023. We had an excellent stay at this resort.
This medium size resort is well managed by Mr. Sandeep Pandey in a professional manner. These are cottages with a feel of a tent from inside. The accommodation was nice with clean toilet and shower facility & hot water continuously available during this winter time. Bed was comfortable with good quality bedsheets & blanket. Room heater was available in the cottage.
The actual dining area is built in a shape of a tribal hut but during our stay, the dinner venue was changed two times, once at pool side & then on other night it was a candle light dinner under the starlit sky so as to break the monotony of eating in a same place.
The food served during the dinner was good. For the lunch, we carried packed lunch to the jungle. Tea and coffee making facility is available inside the cottage.
After a day long tiring safari in Kanha's dense forest, on return back to resort we were greeted every day by the staff with a soft drink & wet fresheners followed by light snacks with tea and coffee.
The resort has thoughtfully employed local staff from the surrounding villages who are very polite & interact with guests
with a smile.
Communication is an issue in Kanha National Park & this resort is no exception to it. One needs to go the reception area for wi-fi access which is difficult to manage. In other words we remained almost incommunicado during our stay. There is no television provided in the cottage.
Location of this resort is very good with the proximity of safari start point. There is an exhibition cum sell place near resort where one can buy a variety of items made by the tribal community.
We enjoyed our stay in Kanha Jungle Resort.

I spent a week at this idyllic jungle retreat. It offered all the material comforts one could want and delicious food. The resort premises are very green with large trees and a rock formation and as such blends with the jungle which is just a short walk away. We also made use of the pool, which one should not miss after a morning safari to get refreshed.
The proprietor, Krishnanji and his pet shih tzu, Henna, and the staff make you feel at home.
Since we visited in off-season when Kanha is closed for safari, we made ample use of the Bamhni Nature Trail, which is just a short walk away. It's a lush forest full of tall sal trees and wildlife movement. Lucky people have managed to spot bears and tigers on the nature trail. One needs to be accompanied by a naturalist for such excursions and the in-house naturalist Saravana Kumar is just the right person being experienced (he has toured national parks across India, Africa and North America), knowledgable and extremely personable. We also drove to the Mukki gate which was about 5 mins away and were able to spot gaur on the controlled village road that starts from there.
I saw sustainability being practised here in various ways, such as the dustbin baskets and refillable steel water flasks (instead of PET bottles) and in the materials used to construct the hut and dining area.
I will recommend this place to anyone looking to do safari in Kanha or to have a jungle retreat.

The owner, Krishnan Ji, is an exceptional and welcoming host. Alongside him, the superhero naturalist Mr. Sarvana is highly knowledgeable and engaging, especially when discussing wildlife. Their caring nature makes you feel right at home at the resort.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and equipped with good amenities. The bathroom is large and clean, just the way I like it. The food is delicious and prepared with less oil, making it a healthy option.
The nature trail and Mukki Gate for the core safari are nearby, as well as the buffer zone at Khapa Gate. Overall, the location is excellent, and for wildlife lovers, this place is truly a blessing

It was great experience. Sandeep ji is an excellent host and became our family and friend after just 2 days visit! Good campfire, decent food, service is excellent. Sandeep ji’s personal interest in overall experience of the guests is remarkable. One question I had after my 2 day visit: how come whenever I thought of anything, Sandeep ji was around, had an answer and solved most problems. Great experience.

Both Pandey brothers work really hard to make your stay memorable. The staff majorly consist of well trained locals that too females that makes the services homely. A small but epic property amidst saal forest with an amazing swimming pool is a perfect destination for your holidays. The food is amazing as well.

It feels as if you have stepped inside a beautiful painting.
Engulfed in nature, this place has cute cottages ,large comfortable rooms, mouth watering food but the best part were the people, Krishnan Ji and Mr. Saravana (Anna). Because of them we felt so comfortable and so much at home here, I don't think anyone wanted to leave this place.
P.s. At night, I saw so many fireflies flying for the very first time outside the cottages and it looked so surreal ohmygoddd, you can just sit peacefully in the dark and keep looking at them while listening to the sounds of the jungle as it transports you to a very meditative, comfortable state. High on nature basically!
So yes, it was a very beautiful experience staying here!!
