I stayed at the property for two nights. The value proposition this property provides is to live as close to nature as possible. Perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. The rooms are made tastefully, offers provacy and great views of mountain and valley. Some nice touches with self made pizza, barbeque and maggi stations.

What the place is in need for is professional management and leadership that gives the correct direction to the passionate staff the property has currently. It's important for the team to realize what the five star properties in their league offers in terms of food and hospitality. I would recommend the team to drop the all dine in inclusion that's currently being offered and rather develop a restaurant that gives a la carte choices to customers. That way customer has the choice on what they want to eat. Also all customers don't come to the property for activities, some do come to just chill around...so have that understanding and have multie golf carts ever ready for customers to be able to travel to different spots in the resort.

Finally i feel this place has all the ingredients needed to be successful and create a name for iteself. It just needs the right recepie to do it.

My best wishes to the team for long term success...will certainly look forward to revisiting them soon and hopefully see some positive changes.

Hi Tejas. It was pleasure to see you and Kailash at our property. We do realise that with increase in rooms we should even increase the golf cart.which would be immediately done. With reference to your suggestions of a la carte restaurant and activities. We understand your suggestions but unfortunately we have taken a conscious decision to promote this place as an activity resort and activities are an internal part of our concept so we do expect people to do those. Hope to see you soon. Thanks. Rakkh Team

Nestled in the peaceful village of Ghamrota, Rakkh is a perfect hill retreat offering an exquisite platter of cosy accommodation and premium services in a pollution-free environment. The moment you enter through the gates, you feel like you're home. We were greeted by the fantastic team of Rakkh and two furry friends, Talli and Teena who were full of enthusiasm to guide you through your entire stay. The activities at Rakkh were the highlight of my trip. They are extremely well thought and can be thoroughly enjoyed by people of all age groups. I started my day with a morning trek to a Chamunda Mata temple nearby, followed by a delectable lunch and Sky-cycling afterwards. As the evening started setting in, we were given a live performance of Himachali folk music and dance by a lovely group of locals along with hot snacks, chai and a bonfire! The food at Rakkh is made with love and locally grown vegetables at the Rasoi, which is an old-style kitchen. We were served traditional Himachali food for dinner in their traditional Himachali way. Your stay at Rakkh will make you want to engage in laughter and conversation with your own family and others! The team at Rakkh are so hospitable it truly felt like home.
FYI, our short trip of 4 days was extended to 6 days. Although, given a chance, I'd never come back from Rakkh :)!

This amazing offbeat small resort is secluded in a small village near Palampur in the midst of beautiful Himachal hills. The road is narrow to get to this resort from the main highway and the adventure begins itself when you see the resort board and take the short stretch by car to the main gate.

The Staff is absolutely welcoming and they check on you if you arrive late by calling you or your driver based on the number provided. The service exceeds your expectations at this resort by the entire staff located here. Am just so touched with the personalized service offered to all the guests arriving here.

70 minutes from the Kangra Dharmasala Airport, its quite a smooth ride or if traveling from Shimla, Manali or Pathankot.

The food at the resort has a decent likable spread as per the convenience of the guests and has a beautiful open view from its restaurant. We had a beautiful open air Himachali night with traditional food and folk dance on their terrace with low seating and was ana amazing experience with the bonfires in the winter nights.

Rooms are simple and elegant and hot water continuous which is need of the hour in winter nights with good heating in the rooms. The cottages are located on a steep slope and they do have 1 or 2 buggies running around since people are advised to walk around in this adventure resort which is quite offbeat from the regular ones you would find in Himachal. Senior Citizens or handicapped people are requested to request for rooms near the restaurant.

Now comes the best part of this resort - too many activities for the adults and children. Amazing Tattva Spa, Soda making, weaving, trekking, hiking, picnics, sky cycling, mountain biking, pottery, indoor games, etc etc. Do it yourself counters for pizza, juices, maggi, tea, etc so creatively done. There is simply so many activities that your children would be thrilled.

Special mention for Mr Ashwani who looks after the resort and Sunny who looks after all your meals and the entire staff and the owner who was luckily there and paid personal attention and guiding the guests for all activities.

I and may family just cannot wait to be back there next winter and be close to the best Paragliding an hour away at Bir Billing.

This is the Go to place if you wanna ditch the five starts and crowds at Dharamsala and Dalhousie and be in nature for quieter holidays.

Outdoor Pool opening soon and Yoga mats provided in rooms

Hi Chintan. We feel proud when our off beat experiences are appreciated by our guests. So glad that u liked our DIY counters, activities , trek , cultural evening etc. While constructing this place we were clear that we will promote himachali culture , local employment , physical activities and family bonding over making maggi and pizza. Little did we realise that there is a hidden master chef in every human being and that is resulting in our pizza and barbeque counter as super busy. Hope to see you soon and next time you can take a dip in our swimming pool. Cheers Rakkh Team

Rakkh resort is secluded near Raakh village in Himachal. Once you enter the resort you are greeted to a small pond with ducks, hens running around and "Talli", the cute labrador. It was a family trip with age group from 63 years to 1.5 years old!! We stayed for a total of 2 nights and every day was great!!

Cons : If you are travelling with family and have elders accompanying please note the resort is made in such a way that you will have to walk around, they have golf carts but they want you to walk. Its a con as my decission of choice of rooms was wrong, so technically it was my bad.

Pros:
1. Rooms : They give you a premium feel, with Bose speakers, nice big bed, big bath room and the basic cutlery too gives it a premium feel.
2. Various DIY counters : If you have kids with you aged 6 and above they will love the Maggi station, the Banta Bar, the Pizza station. For adults they have great pool tables, not the small ones the big genuine ones. They have archery too...
3. Food : The spread is not that big, very basic, but tasty!!
4. DHAAM : They organise this local traditional thing where the y have this folk singing and local Himachali tradition of serving food...The whole experience is excellent!!
5. Staff : The support staff is very polite, courteous and always there too help. Sunny, Ankit in the restaurant, Patiyal and Ankit in housekeeping, Vishal, Raman and Sandeep in Activity and Mr. Dishant and Ashwani at Main desk were superb..Also Sunitaji at Banta station was very polite. Talli and teena our fury friends made the stay even more joyful.
6. Activities : Sky cycling, Rock climbing, trekking...too much to keep you engrossed for the whole day.
7. No TV and wifi!! What all you need..

They are planning an infinity pool which will be an added attraction.
Will surely visit again.

An amazing short sojourn at the Rakkh resorts with friends makes me crave for much more..
It’s a delight to interact with all, especially the manager, Ms Swati, the owner and all the staff.
Even in these covid times, the extra cleanliness& sanitisation protocols being followed do not dull their spirit in attending to the guests.
24*7 maggi , chai, juice , activities throughout the day... indulging spas and wood cooked food ..
I loved it .. waiting to visit again

Just came back from a marvellous vacation in Rakkh resort. Went there with 2 of my friends for a girl’s trip and all 3 of us had the best time of our lives. It was a beautiful, peaceful place with super friendly people. It was a cozy stay with excellent service. The hospitality, food, ambience and staff were just perfect. They went out of their way to make sure that we have absolutely no complains. They also suggested some fun and safe activities for us to do around the area and guided us with all the information we’d need. It was a thrilling experience with laughter and relaxation. The resort is perfect for anyone. Alone, with family, with friends, kids, adults, elders- there’s a variety of activities to do for every type of person/group. I really recommend this resort if you just need a few days to unwind in a beautiful resort for a few days.
It was also a really safe trip. Seeing as it was a ladies trip to the mountains and none of us had any prior experience on travelling there, we were a little apprehensive. Will we be safe from covid? Is it too crowded? What if there’s no strong cell service? Are the people friendly? But, the people were so friendly. Everyone was ready to help out and have a good laugh with. It was a really quiet, peaceful place. People were following covid guidelines, sanitisers were everywhere and social distancing was maintained subconsciously by everyone.

This is one of a kind resort. I visited the place with my family and my 2 little girls absolutely fell in love with the place. Its a activity based resort and thats where all the FUN lies, a different concept and very engaging. They have so many day hikes, wall climbing, play area, a pottery station etc. to offer.

There's a little steep walk to reach the rooms (battery cart also available) and on the way you have a anytime help yourself Maggie Station, juice station which is on the house (little things which definitely make an impact) and the view from the mountain cottage room is amazing. The rooms are adequate size with all amenities, even a speaker for you to enjoy your music as they dont have TVs in room or wifi (you dnt even miss it).

The best part about the place is there approach to make you feel as if you are a part of the place. The food is lip-smacking and the staff is what makes this place extra special..so engaging everyone is and courteous that you will feel you are not visiting for the first time. The dinner is done in a common dining area and they also set up a village dinner kind of thing where they serve himachali thali and you can even try your hands at making roti on the chula.

For the kids they hand over a welcome kit with a checklist to complete activities and spot nature around the resort which was so exciting and cool thing for our lil ones. We did a day hike with them to find the snow and after a 5 hrs hike-we did..there were these cool shepherd mud houses in which we were served our lunch with maggi with snow around us and a special thanks to Raman and Akshay who accompanied us.

A long review and am sure have missed a lot..so to cut short we are totaly in love with this place, full marks and Kudos to the owners and the people working so hard at this property to make everything so top notch. Till we visit again...

The staff at Rakh is the standout resource of the resort. Everyone was extremely helpful, genuinely caring for making our stay special, and made sure we left with only happy memories. Above all, they made sure the stay was as comfortable as possible for my grandmother for whom movement was difficult due to the hilly terrain of the resort. Shoutout to Akhil, Sandeep, Naveen, Vishal for being the most helpful hosts and Swati for making sure all our requests were given proper attention.

On the resort itself, Rooms are spacious and very well maintained. I would recommend taking the mountain rooms, but if you want to indulge, forest rooms are enormous and much more luxuriously done without really costing a bomb. They have Bose Bluetooth speakers in every room which was unexpected but really cool (no TV ofcourse). Food was nice, and they have a fully stocked bar.
The activities are fun and will keep you engaged.
We did air cycling, rock climbing and the night trek, all three of which were amazing. Take full board options because it’s unlikely that you’ll venture out of the resort for any meals. If you have kids, they would really enjoy the DIY stations.

Overall, we loved our stay, and can’t wait to go back again.

I visited the Rakkh Resort in January 2021, and had a really positive experience. You get spectacular views from your rooms and the restaurant, and it's worth to wake up early to watch the sunrise. It has to be noted that the resort rests on a mountain slope and there will be plenty of walking during your stay.
The genuinely friendly nature of all the staff had a huge impact on my holiday, ensuring that it was an enjoyable stay even as a solo traveler. The cordial behaviour is a big plus for the resort and I am sure it will assure that guests will want to come back again.
They have plenty of activities to do in the resort like pottery, weaving, and archery amongst others, as well as outdoor excursions; mountain biking and treks that will satisfy anyone seeking adventure and off beat experiences.
Their restaurant provides meals suitable to meet the guests needs, and the traditional Himachali dinner should not be missed. However, the speed of service maybe a bit slow at times and could be improved.
Overall a great stay, would visit again when the opportunity arises :) {maybe once the scheduled upgrades are completed}

PS: It is for people to experience nature and connect with family & friends; they do not provide a TV or wifi in rooms, so expectations should be as such when visiting the resort.

We went in a group of 7 family members ranging from 65 years to a 8 year old and everyone was happy. Rakkh is a activity based holiday and if you plan only to chill , I am not sure if you will enjoy your time here. We loved the morning treks and Sandeep made sure we could get a different route each time, the cute & well planned stations all along the resort ( Maggi , juice , pottery etc) and the exceptional sky cycling experience! The property is run hands-on by the owner and his presence can be seen in the exemplary service from each staff member. The chai/pizza/bbq station is a big hit! My parents enjoyed all the activities in the upper arena and my son did rock climbing everyday! I must mention again how thoughtfully things are designed here - right from games placed in the rooms , foot bath in evenings to the staggered timings with always something to eat. Please be aware it’s a very STEEP climb through out the resort and they don’t promote use of the buggy.

If you are active - Rakkh is a must do holiday!!
(We went on a excursion to a tea factory suggested by the resort and liked it.)
