To start out with the positive the beach is beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly However it is incredibly isolated, the road is really bad and definitely do not drive unless you're in a 4x4. In addition for a beachfront hotel the rooms are really dark. There's no natural light and it felt so claustrophobic. There were also a...

When we arrived, we had a small problem with the room, but the staff made everything they could to make our stay perfect!! We even decided to stay for longer than planned!! The food was AMAZING! The place was super quiet and cozy, and we had a great time!! John and the rest of the staff were super friendly and...

This hotel was simply the most horrible I've been on the entire west coast of Ghana, and almost managed to ruin an up to then perfect road trip in this beautiful region. The discovery of the rooms was quite shocking: those were supposed to be worthy of a "luxurious" beach lodge, but were nothing but small and run down huts,...

One thing to say: DO NOT GO THERE ! We chose this hotel to have a nice New Year's eve evening in a upper range hotel. What a disappointment! The room was overly expensive for what it is (i.e. no better than the worst hostel ever) - We had a very small bed with no door to our bathroom and...

About a year ago I travelled with my wife to Akiwdda and stayed at the SBL. The fact I'm writing this is to express how truly memorable our stay was. The SBL is a truly a paean to the "bear necessities of life"...you could almost see Baloo and Mogli galavanting around the palm trees! With no "connections" the SBL and...

A travel agent booked this place for me for a couple of nights relaxation by the beach. It was a bit more basic than I was expecting. Location: it's about a 15 min journey out of Busua and about 1km from the closest village Akwidaa. The road on the way is quite rough. I was glad we had a 4x4....

We were very much looking forward to our stay at Safari Beach Lodge, based on recommendations read in (old) guide books and email exchange with the Safari team (emailing was very friendly and helpful). We came from Co-Sa Beach resort in Cape Coast, where we had a fantastic time with excellent and huge amounts of fresh seafood, wine, etc -...

The lodge is located in an extremely beatiful place, and the accomodation is just wonderful: we were on the "beach-house" and there was a very spacious living room, with 2 comfortable bedroom and a very nice bathroom. The service was very caring, friendly and helpful. Because we had no car, they arranged one for us and it was very convenient....

First, Safari Beach Lodge is not in Sekondi-Takoradi. It is located about 30 mins drive from Dixcove. Dixcove is about 45 mins from Takoradi. Once you get to Dixcove, the road to the hotel is terrible. I would definitely say you need a 4-wheel drive car to get there. Don't travel to the place after 5pm because it's a dirt...

Safari Beach Lodge, Sekondi-Takoradi depicts the beauty of nature to have some refreshing time with my family. But the authorities must have a cheaper means of coming there from the main Takoradi station without much difficulties.

“The self contained doubles for 60 cedis are great. They are a bit cheaper than the suites but I think the only difference is that they don't have private sunbeds and are a bit behind the suites.”
