Our stay was amazing.. From Rishikesh to Vyaskhat the views were mind blowing, roads were bit scary but was worth going. The place is so peaceful , the banyan tree is the most catchy, flowing river, the sound, birds . The staff is really very helpful Mr Naresh, at the reception Mr Haresh with super rafting experience , we’re so glad to meet him. Mr Ankit who was with ya for the beautiful natural water fall. Nature walk, the floating experience and the specially the swinging experience with the banyan. Thank you so much everyone for making our memories so beautiful and a big thanks for making cake for my sons birthday and making it more special 😍

This is such a beautiful, warm and inviting getaway nestled in the foothills of the Garhwal mountain ranges, right next to Ganges. The actual accommodation is in a camp styles cottages (Glamping), not permanent structures cause NGT, Government of India prohibits permanent structures within 200 meters of the river.. what I mean to say is that you will be so close to the barren beauty of the Ganges that you are not allowed to stay in a permanent structures. The cottages: these are very nicely done, a very nice queen size bed, comfortable enough for 2 adults (and also may be upto a 5 year old for co sleeping) to snuggle in. Each cottage has an air conditioner, running hot water (via individual geysers in each cottage), room heaters (for colder months), very comfortable mattress, and the traditional indian 100% cotton quilts (razaee). The bathroom is spacious too, given the hot water is powered through the individual geysers in the cottages, please make sure to turn it on well ahead of the time (about 30 - 40 minutes) when you plan to take a shower. The food: All the meals are included in the nightly price, which includes a nice spread for all three meals - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and occasional 'chais' in between. During my three night stay, I got to taste traditional garhwali dishes such as local 'daals', native chutneys, fruits as well as enjoy more streamlined indian dishes such as kadai paneer, egg curry, palak paneer, etc. The food is as good as home cooked and is served with fresh tawa chapathis. You can also order a la carte snacks throughout the day (think mix veg pakoras, chili chicken, paneer tikka, etc.) at a very nominal price point. The activities: I, personally went to Banyan By the Ganges for some personal, 'me' time - which was the best decision, so would not have minded if there were no activities to partake in, however to my surprise, there is a tonn of things one can undertake and the resort staff is always there to not only suggest things to do, but they make sure that they always provide you their company (highly recommended but not mandatory). I enjoyed about 5 kilometer hike on Day 1 early morning that took me up to Chaitur village (gain in elevation of about 400 meters). This hike was spectacular which can not be articulated in words, you have got to see it to believe it (and I have done several hikes, not only in India but also in a very picturesque Canadian rockies). Went for a 10 kilometer trail the next day around the camps which was spectacular in its own sense (with out the elevation). Swam in the Ganges (just for a little bit cause the water was very very cold), one can also enjoy rafting that is run directly by the resort management (not outsourced), they have several certified river guides / rafting instructors. You can spend an afternoon kayaking around the Ganges, engage in rock climbing, etc. The staff can also arrange local trips to places of significance depending on your likes (for e.g. to Devprayag Sangam for the Aarti, temples around the area, etc.) In short, there is no dearth of activities to engage in (regardless of your taste). And then the best part is in the evening, by the bonfire, where all the guests come together and share what they did throughout the day over a glass (or several) of wine / scotch / rum (what your choice of drink is). Keep in mind that the nearest wine shop is about a 30 minute drive one way all the way to Devprayag, so make sure you are carrying some with you if you plan on consuming. Finally, The People: This is the cherry on top of the cake, all of the staff is so inviting and warm including the owner (Mani Da) that I made good friends with all of them through my stay of 3 nights. Everyone goes over and beyond to ensure you have a great stay, right from the time you check in to the time you check out. Major thanks and Kudos to the staff, Harish Da, Naresh Da, Alam Singh and several others whose names I am forgetting (I am terrible at remembering names) I would love to come back to this place whenever I plan to take a trip to the Garhwal region!!! Keep up the good work Banyan By The Ganges, you are creating something special.

Luxury camping experience with loads of adventure activities. The scenic beauty around this place is simply incredible.. we stayed in the mountain cottage for 3 days & trust me we could hardly explore few things .. you at least need 1 week stay to explore all activities around.. the service is excellent & food is quite customisable .. best time was meeting everyone during evening bonfire & share all experiences of the day .. I have done river rafting at few places but the scenic views that I saw here was totally mesmerising .. amidst nature coming up with this kind of property & experience can only be thought by someone highly professional , creative & passionate person .. Mr Mani thanks for letting us experience such a beauty..

The main usp of this place is that it's away from the hustle bustle of Rishikesh and located in Devprayag. If you love Rishikesh then this place will blow your mind Pros: 1. Spacious luxury cottages with clean bathrooms 2. Lunch and dinner buffet has a good variety 3. Food is tasty and home style 4. This place offers lot of activities including rafting, kayaking, trekking etc 5. Game area is decent with multiple games playing option Cons: 1. Only Jio sim works here 2. No wifi and tv in rooms (you will definitely not miss any of those)

BBTG is a place mostly for rejuvenating yourself amidst nature No network No wifi No tv. Food in lunch and dinner were good and very tasty however need to improve on bfast options very limited it was. View from riverfront rooms is just awesome with sound of flowing river that is the usp of the property. Though except a badminton court no other outdoor activity was there. A table tennis table, a carrom board with a bunch of other indoor activities would keep you engaged if it's raining or sultry outside. Last but not the least smiling naresh harish and Mr ghosh along with the entire staff are very helpful and never say no to anything. A great 👏team I must say. Rooms or Tents are a little small especially if you wish to accommodate people more than two. I am not dissatisfied with my experience but yes would have been elated if the above would have been there. I am an avid traveler like to explore new offbeat locations so as a one time visit it was definitely very good.

Just back from a rejuvenating visit to this wonderful property hidden amongst the montains right in front of Ganges . Location- it's an oasis in no mans land . A long 8hr trip from Delhi but worth it . You can see the clean Ganges roaring just in front of you. Staff: excellent friendly staff, the village 0eoplw are employed and they make one feel at home. Food: 5 stars to the chef for serving us wonderful food .if you are expecting a fancy meal then no it's home-cooked taste is yummilicious.the pahari mutton was amazing. Rafting experience: unlike shivpuri where there are a plethora of commercial rafting companies with mix of inexperienced rafting instructor here we went rafting with 2 very experienced rafters .harish a pleasant man with 30 yes experience made us feel so confident ( I had jitters post past rafting experience) .Mani had been rafting for years too and was a nice company . Rooms: There are basically tents with basic amenities, don't expect anything fancy . there's a dit out from where you can get s view of Ganges flowing .they don't have tea coffee kettle which I did bring up to the management. Overall a very pleasant stay and a much suggested place for thr one's who want to just run away from the madness.( There's no wifi , or mobile network)

I reached this riverside resort of serene tranquillity , at 1730 on 9th March , 2020 . After a double quick check in at the reception , I was led to The Riverstone Diner , the multi cuisine Restaurant to enjoy my Ginger tea while watching the Ganga flow by through a very large open window . After enjoying the magnificent views of Ganga and Resort while sipping my Ginger tea , I moved to my luxury Swiss cottage with a spacious balcony having a personal outdoor sit out . I was impressed by my bed and the comforts on it . Reclining on the sit out I could see and hear the burbling Ganga and the 250 years old Banyan tree after which the resort is known . Later on here , I had my delicious dinner and balanced breakfast next morning . To be frank , I never like mutton , but the Pahari Mutton cooked was so aromatic , juicy , luscious , soft and tender , that I could not help myself to have another helping . Next day morning while checking out I was blessed by the sight of a pair of Great Barbet feasting on papaya on a papaya tree . Manager told me there were many birds visiting the garden of the resort . I decided to do birding when I would stay here on my return visit on 21st March . Unfortunately when I was returning from Blue Poppy Resort , Auli on 21st , I received a call from the manager telling me the Resort is closed due to Covid Pandemic and I should try elsewhere as all the hotels and resorts in Uttarakhand are closed . After returning home , I communicated with sales@banyanbytheganges.com on 1st April , regarding refund of my paid up full amount for 21st and 22nd march . I received the immediate reply stating that i could use the credit note of my advance amount within next 12 months . If I cannot , I can transfer the credit note to anyone . On 2nd April I requested the management to refund my full amount as due to my old age I could not see to take such a journey again . To which I received immediate refund of my full advanced amount . I am very much thankful to the management of Banyan by the Ganges Resort for refunding my full amount within 3 days of my contacting them . This builds up the confidence and trust of the guests in the Resort . My age permits , I will definitely return to the Resort again and again .
