Thrilled to check into this amazing property. Historic mansion lovingly and carefully restored with attention to detail. We found each member of staff friendly and considerate. We were sad to leave our detached and truly luxurious chalet complete with bikes to explore the 80 acre estate. Everything exceeded our expectations. Will return for longer stay next time we come to...

This is by far the most beautiful and exclusive boutique property I have stayed on in Sri Lanka. The domain is huge for just 20 villa's. Our villa was the best we have stayed in during our visits to Sri Lanka. It comes with a separate bedroom, bathroom with rain shower, separate living room and a connecting corridor. The living...

From the moment we arrived we knew this was going to be good. Even though it was dark so we couldn't see the beautiful grounds and gardens, the slickness and friendliness of our reception complete with a traditional ringing of bells, the splendour of the main hotel building, and the helpfulness of the buggy driver who took us and our...

We spent two nights at the hotel. We had villa 7 which is about a 5 minute walk from the main hotel area, but it suited us well. The villa was enormous with a huge lounge area and comfy seating. We each had an excellent massage at the spa. We found the checking in ritual a little intrusive. We were...

This hotel is exceptional. It takes a day to sink into the beautiful natural environment and truly appreciate what Uga has created here. The grounds are designed beautifully, each villa is private and in its own natural oasis. The mode of transport is bicycle, golf buggy or walking. Each villa has its own bicycles, pool and plenty of exterior furniture....

Despite the 3 days of rain, this resort was our favourite in Sri Lanka. In short, the wildlife was amazing and I spent most my time watching monkeys, lizards and peacocks. Staff were excellent and we had brilliant turn down service every evening. The villas are HUGE and clean. My husband loved use of the bikes to get around. I...

The most beautiful and best hotel in every way. Rooms are in "chalets" sprinkled around the property. All are sited so they are private and range in sizes so that some can be used for families. Ours had a small plunge pool which we never had time to use, and it was cleaned of leaves in the morning. The beds...

Ulagalla is a luxury resort spread throughout enormous grounds, with nature all around. The main building - reception, restaurant, bar etc - is located a long way from the chalets. Once you know the way, it's easy to walk between them or you can take a golf-cart; however, upon first arrival, trying to find the way to the main building...

The accommodation here is in a scattering of high-tech luxury bungalows with their own plunge pools, extremely comfortable beds, lar,e, well stocked bathrooms and expansive lounges equipped with all the gadgets you could wish for. Well, almost all. You might wish for remote-controlled blinds instead of the 20 or so wonky, cumbersome, old-fashioned wooden Venetian blinds covering the vast array...
