There is no proper indoor sports. We asked for badminton cock for 3 times but we did not get any reply..Looks like no one is bothered over there...We had to struggle a lot to convince them to make less spicy food. The price was over charged and food was limited. They are charging for extra food as well.

Cons: Though the address is Alibaug, this place takes about 1 hour plus in Auto from Mandwa Jetty. So if u r taking a ferry from Gateway to Mandwa, u should take a resort closer than Nagaon. Very badly maintained toilet for 1 day picnickers. Dirty , no mirror , not even basic cleanliness maintained, leaking taps ...... Unhelpful staff, Nothing other than a carrom board and some broken toys for day picnickers. Overpriced day picnic rates at Rs 650 per person......Typical Maharashtrian hospitality where "atithi devo bhava" is not applicable Lastly the sand on the beach was oily and stuck to the kids even after taking showers ....so please be careful ....must be industrial waste...... Pros: Many hammocks in the property where you can rest. Also property is well maintained. Did not have much crowd even though we visited on a Saturday.....no huge groups of 15+ , no rain dance, loud music etc type of crowds Beach touching property

If you are headed for a weekend stay to a beach place, try Karpewadi. It is a quiet place in a Wadi (grove) of coconut trees with hammocks tied outside your room to laze about. Remember, it is an agrotel so no booze, no loud music and no great amenities. But you can enjoy a beach entirely to yourself after walking a few yards through a Suru (Casaurina) forest with birds chirping all day. The room facilities are fine and the place is clean. Food is good but fixed menu. A lacarte takes half hour per order atleast. There is no room service as food is served at the dinning hall during meal times. There is not much to do the agrotel, but you can head to the main Nagoan beach for water sports. The place is beautiful and peaceful. It is perfect for those who want to spend a weekend just resting by the sea. It is a good place to visit if you have little kids and dont want to be in a commercial place. I recommend it for sure. I have been here twice already. However, recently their tariff has become higher and value for money becomes a factor why some people may not choose this place.

Room Tip: You wont need an AC room in winter months as it is quite cool. Don't waste money on it.

We stayed in Karpewadi for 2 days. We were total of 4 people so we opted for a non ac family room, which had 2 double beds. The overall experience was really good apart from one or two things. Good things about this place: 1. Its very near to the beach, away from crowd and beach is really clean. 2. The food was basic but really good. 3. The resort has many many hammocks, we enjoyed a lot 4. The resort is well maintained from the outside. Well painted and pathways to room are properly lit. Some things we didn't like : 1. The wash room in the room was a disappointment.(it can be a problem in our room only). Apart from being very very small it was broken too. Given the resort from the outside is beautiful and maintained, the expectation was for the washroom to be properly maintained at least. 2. Since we visited during holiday time, it was fully booked and breakfast specially was a crowded affair. We had to wait for a very long time for omelette and breads.. Many people were waiting in queues to toast the bread. Apart from that, the experience was nice. Recommended for families.

I took a group here and it was perfect. We were looking for somewhere that was natural (not commercialised with bars and pools for example) and this was wonderful. The food was local, healthy and nutritious. The access to the beach was magnificent and the beach was clean and expansive. The accommodation was simple and comfortable. We were treated with such care and attention. We will be back. Thank you, Sue Knight

Excellent accommodation and food, only one point to mention in resort staff doesn't know much about the surrounding places, when to visit, how long the travel is etc. There are couple of very good places which are not known / very less known to the staff.

Best place, heavenly location, and food is out of the world. We heard about it from our friends and were not disappointed with our experience. The staff is very friendly and helping, the food is just amazing, and best is the location, exactly at the beach, konkan at it's best, untouched private beach... peace of mind.
