I booked deluxe beachfront hut at Papillon in Palolem Beach. I made the booking directly emailing the owner and bank transfer. When we arrived the room was available and check-in was no formality. The location is awesome, certainly one of the best in Goa. However the huts are average. One of the major problem was that there was no hot water and shower was not working. On complaining the shower was fixed to some extent but still no hot water. I understand they have a solar heater but no luck with hot water even when the sun is shining bright. The staff also did not bother to fix the hot water problem even after complaining multiple times. The housekeeping staff was very rude and unprofessional. They refused to change the bed linen even when asked to do after two days. Their…
You have plenty of options on palolem, please do not waste your money on Papillon. “Heaven” the owner of resto is the most unprofessional guy i hv evr come across. Lousy n rude staff. Pathetic service, pathetic rooms. They are polite only to foreigners not INDIANS. Horrible experience.
Our family (2 adults, 2 kids) rented 2 beach front huts over the Christmas period. The staff could not have done anything to make us feel more welcome. They were lovely, attentive and lots of fun. Dushan in particular deserves a mention - he was fab! Heaven was great in sorting out taxis and trips for us and making recommendations. The huts are basic but have all that you need. The view and the sound of the waves at night made you feel like you were in paradise. The food at Papillon is some of the best on the whole beach and their cocktails were pretty good too! :) We will definitely be back...
My cousin and I found this place walking around on the beach. The place looked really attractive, with a comfy relaxing place in the restaurant area. We booked a room for 5 days and very much enjoyed our stay in one of the sea view huts. Staff were very friendly and they serve delicious food and breakfasts and (important!) real good coffee.
Perfect mid range budget beach huts for enjoying a stay in the stunning setting of palolem. Staff all very welcoming and helpful which is all you can ask of somewhere and although it shouldn’t matter but everyone speaking good English is a massive plus if travelling on your own. Good food at prices you can’t argue with. Would recommend the deluxe beach front huts as you literally walk from bed to the sea in seconds. Phil England
This was my second visit, I love this place but this time probably i went at a time when it was about to close for renovation, so i felt the things were not in place. House keeping was lousy, half menu items were not available. Otherwise the location is excellent and I love their restaurant. Owner Firdause is a nice guy. Will look forward to going in season in October, will re review my experience.
We were two people staying at a beach hut with the ocean view for 8 days and we absolutely loved our stay at Papillon. The staff were all incredibly kind and were able to accommodate our every needs and wants for a very reasonable price. The atmosphere was very relaxed, the food was great and the huts were very comfortable. would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Goa and would stay there's again myself. Thank you Papillon team! -Elizabeth from Finland
Booked a deluxe beach front hut in advance (so no doubt paid way over the odds), arrived at check in early by 0930 and the monosyallbic man on the desk allowed me to check in which was great. Initial hut was right next to big seating area of restaurant so asked to move to the adjacent hut which was empty, After much head scratching and several phone calls i was allowed to move. Super comfy bed, amazing view out to ocean from bed, room very cool, bathroom was a bit naff but its not like you spend any time in there. Ate a few times in the restaurant and food was always great and the beer cold. I really wanted to love this place, its a nice set up, lovely restaurant area and chill out sofas, and room was great though way over priced - as seems to be the goa way of late. But for…
We intended to spend 2 nights in Palolem but after breakfast at Papillon and a short walk along the beach we soon extended our stay to 5 nights and then again later to 7 nights!! I think Papillon are one of the cheaper beach front huts in Palolem but we couldn't fault them for anything. One of our favourite places in India and would recommend visiting Palolem and staying at Papillon 👌🏻🌴☀️🍹
tandoori items they doing well, i often going to there with my friends, usually i eating tandoori items in patnem April 20 and in palolem papilion, i know the tandoori cooks last 7 years so the taste always same highly recommendation
