Village Guesthouse is lovely - nice clean rooms, all en suite. It's only 5 mins walk from the beach and main street in Palolem. Was with a friend who had been to stay 5 years previously and had raved about it - the praise was well deserved! I will definitely go back. Janet and Goran were great hosts. Was lovely...

I was looking for a good class, comfortable, quiet, guesthouse within a short walk of the beach. The Village Guesthouse delivered all this, and much more. Big, comfortable, rooms with aircon, huge wet rooms, shaded balconies and complimentary breakfast complete with REAL coffee. What really makes the Guesthouse special and well worth the price though is the people. Janet and...

We stayed here twice this year and it just gets better every time. The comfort, cleanliness and stylish value for money impress us every time we stay with Goran and Janet. They are magnificent hosts, ministering to the sick and advising the unwary. The communal verandas see an amazing and interesting range of guests from all over the world and Goran...

Stayed here a few weeks back. Paid 3000rs a night more than I've ever paid before in India expecting great things. The owner was extremely welcoming which I later found out was due to the fact that he (and his wife) were drunk by midday. The location is a good walk from the beach and we later found lots more...

In seven years of business we've never ever directly responded to a review. TA have usually been very good at spotting and removing spurious comments and over the years have been very helpful in generating business. This season has been a very difficult, for various reasons, for almost everyone in the Tourism sector in Goa. So we would like to...

We stayed at the village guesthouse for two nights, but i wish we could have stayed for longer. The rooms are light, bright with excellent aircon (Although the ceiling fan was enough for us) fantastic shower rooms and great value for money. Gorran and Janet the owners are both great company and excellent fun to be with. (Thanks for the...

After the sleeper train from Mumbai and a two hour taxi to Palolem, we were greeted by Janet aka Big Boss. Our twin room was fabulous and 100% worth the money after a basic, busy and cold two weeks travelling down from Delhi. Janet let us settle, offered us drinks and some rolls left over from brekkie (that Goran makes),...

Although there is undoubtedly cheaper accommodation available in Palolem, a stay at The Village Guesthouse buys you a little luxury and pampering. The rooms are beautiful, spacious with good European standard bathrooms, beds, aircon and electrics. A lot of thought has gone into the unique design and flavour of each room. Janet and Goran are dedicated hosts, who spend much...

I can only echo the other glowing reviews. We loved it here & really hope to return one day. Though Christmas & New Year are party time in Palolem, the Village Guest House remained a haven where we could relax or chat with our hosts & other guests. We enjoyed Yogi's homemade cocktails on the balcony in the evenings, before...

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Village for 4 nights together with our friends. The house is nice and it's quite close to the beach - about 300 m. The owners - Janet and Goran - were friendly and helpful AND they speak perfectly English (native) which makes everything easier. Breakfast is served in the garden under the palms....

What can I say that hasn't already been said by all the positive reviews already? I've stayed at The Guesthouse for the last two years and absolutely loved it and I'm gutted I'm not going this year. Staying at The Guesthouse made my holiday. The staff are all very helpful and polite. Yes Yogi makes the best cocktails in the...
